"Are you offering a vein?" he replied right off the bat, not even looking. He wanted to hear her respond, so he waited patiently.

"No!" I said a little too fast. "I meant like food. Can you even eat normal food?" I asked him.

"...Blood is my normal food," he replied and looked at her, smirking at her reaction. "I can. I'm not hungry though...Have any alcoholic drinks though?"

"Um, no. Sorry. I don't really drink." I say, starting on my spaghetti.

"...You live a rather dreary life, don't you?" he commented, changing the channel to something more entertaining.

"Yeah, yeah. I've heard it before. If you can find an alcohol I like, maybe I'll change. Ouch!" I said as I cut my finger while chopping tomatoes. I stick it into my mouth as I run the water to cold. I put it under the water.

Shawn watched her finger silently, not responding to her commentary about her own life. "Mm, you should put some disinfectant on that finger...wouldn't want it to get infected." His eyes lifted hers, glinting. There was still some of him in her, so it should heal lickety split. Her body would be like that for at least a day or so.

"I'll just take things out of the closet again, unless you have something to keep the light from shining in through the windows," he replied.

"Garbage bags and duct tape. I'll go work on it." I said, as I finish eating.

Shawn turned to watch her eat, becoming as silent as the grave. It was odd that she went from total freak out to willing to cover the windows. Saving her life really wasn't that big of a deal, was it?

I wash my dish and put it in the dishwasher. Then I find the duct tape and some garbage bags and start covering the windows. It was going to be a little creepy with him sleeping here tonight, but he saved my life so I owed him.

Shawn eventually stood and helped her with the taping, moving from window to window a bit faster than she. He went over and examined them once they were done, making sure they were all good. "Thanks."
