Hello and welcome to the site! To post a picture you put the picture's url [/IMG] No spaces though. When you want to start a roleplay (rp) you should message the person you want to do it with. It is best to always ask before joining in an already existing roleplay. To send a message I reccomend reading this post > sxcyanide.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=help&action=display&thread=1068&page=1 because Milk explains the process really well. Once you've discussed with the person what you want to write, or you have an idea for an 'open' rp, where anyone can respond, you have to decide where to put it. Then you just hit the new thread' option and there you go! If you have anymore qestions or have questions on anything specific just ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Beautiful! Thank you miss, you've been a great help.
One final question: How do you mean Role Play? Could I get a basic rundown on what that is and how it works?
Thank you again!

Role play in this forum means creating a story together with one or more persons. At least, that's my definition. Erin will probably (hopefully) post a less vague definition. Basically though you and another person(s) put one or more characters together and take turns writing out what happens, how your characters interact with each other, and how the story goes. It can go on indefinitely or end after a few posts. Many users use 3rd person POV but just as many use 1st person. Role plays can take place in any situation, any time period, any dimension, and in any city, at least on this site. This forum has unlimited locations compared to the just-school or just-New York (for example) role play cites. Your character can be anything you want it to be, but keep in mind that a character cannot be perfect. Most people hate characters who are invincible, untouchable, etc. There are immortal characters on this site since it was stemmed based on a vampire story, but some people have problems with that as well (i know a user who preferred just human rps). Just communicate with the person you are roleplaying with about the story and all should be well. In short, role playing is creating a story with your own characters and another persons characters. You both are in charge of the plot (if there is one), the characters, and of course following the site rules and most of the proboards TOS. Other admins will probably add more to this definition or correct it. This is just my take, so...yeah. Have fun

This is probably the best definition there is. You make a character, someone else makes a character and then you write about how they interact. Somtimes you make some sort of plan as to how things wok out and sometimes you just let the story go off on its own. You just have to make sure that you do not 'God Mod', which is controling another person's character and a really big no-no. You also have to make sure that your character isn't perfect, like Milk said. And try your best to use proper grammar/spelling/puncuation when you are writing the roleplay. Some of the lists in the rules section give you an idea of what is and is not aceptable.
Hope this helps.
