I sit in the silence of my house. I knew what I had to do. I write a quick note before preparing. I leave it on my front porch for Jake. 'Jake, I'm so sorry that I am so weak. I can't stay any longer. I don't have the strength to live here with you. Fight to be free, as I will. I hope to see you again one day.' I drive to the airport and then I'm gone.

I get off of the plane in Alaska. The cold weather sinks into my skin, but I wasn't shivering like everyone else around me. Anthony's blood still coursed through me.

I was managing a pretty good job in Alaska. I was a clerk in a small clothing and antique store in town. The older women who owned the place could no longer handle the place alone. I changed my hair to it's original black and blue. I looked exactly as I was borned and was like as a human. I didn't want my looks to be to noticeable. I met with the butcher in town, and set up a special deal with him before he slaughtered the animals. The old man allowed me to feed if I helped with his store during the weekend mornings. It was a great deal. I slept very little and worked hard.

"Sandy, you look so much better." I said as a regular customer came into the store. She came over to the desk and began to talk to me. "Oh Caprice. Thank you so much for that tea. It snapped my cold away like that." She said, snapping her fingers to elaborate the point. I had returned to using the name I had been born with, missing it. "That's so good to hear. I'm so happy I could help." I said. We talked for a moment before she left the store.

I was folding a stack of new merchandise in the corner. Humming to myself lightly to the song playing on the country station before singing along with it. I was now a country hick. "I'll be with you in a moment." I said as I hear the bells ringing. I set the cloths down and walk to the front of the shop.

I walk up to the customer. "Do you need any help, sir?" I asked to his back, tilting my head which caused my long hair which was braided to land on my shoulder. This person was very tall, so he might need help finding clothing in his size.

I see the scar and my memories flash back painfully. I shake my head. He may have the same scar, but Jake looked more childish then the person in front of me. It was just my imagination. "I'll be in the back of the store if you need any help. Just holler." I said, return to my work.

Jake's voice was higher than this persons too. His voice was low and slightly rough at the end. I return to my clothing, singing to another one of my favorite songs on the radio.
