Lilly stared into his eyes for a long moment, before forcing herself to look elsewhere. She stared as his lips as she replayed his question in her head a few times. Their hearts were beating, and it suprised her slightly that she could feel his. But maybe she was just becoming more aware of him. Like...a teenager.[/b] she thought to herself with distaste. "I...guess you could order me to, Death." she answered finally. He was her master after all; it was his choice to free her or keep her enslaved.

"What would you do if I let you go, Lilly? You'd leave, right? And... You wouldn't come back." Death replied, he stared ather and then rested his head down, hair moving in front of his eyes and hiding his reaction. He looked rather blank for awhile. "I don't think i'm ready to let you leave yet. And i'm damned sure that I do't want to orde you to feel emotions."

Lilly's eyes looked back into his. They were hidden behind his hair though, making her frown. She liked his pretty red eyes a lot, even when they were close to turning black. His reaction to her answer stung a little. "Death...I wouldn't leave. Where would I go? What would I do? This lifestyle is the only one I've known." she mumbled, looking down and feeling sad.

He was frighteningly quiet for awhile, his breathing slowing down as well as he thought about what she had said. Death looked up a little, eyes showing, they looked a bit disheartened but it didn't really matter. "You... You wouldn't leave? So.... you'd stay here with me still? Bcause.... you don't have anywhere else to go." Deat said slowly, thinking about it and then hiding his face in her neck, breathing out softly.

Lilly's body tensed when he wasn't saying anything for a long time. His breathing slowed. And when he looked up, what his eyes held made her feel saddened. "No. Yes. Yes..." she answered softly, knowing her reasons were poor reasons to stay. There was one more reason, and that was she didn't want to see what the fates would do to him or her if either left. Lilly felt him hide his face in her neck. She hesitantly wrapped her arms around him, carressing his back gently.

Death sighed softly aainst her and he felt Cerberus move a bit to come closer to give warmth. One of his wings was laying over their waists. The man kissed her neck gently and listened to the thunder boom outside and then heard a bit of lightning, he blinked. Lightning always comes after thunder. At least I think...It's actually a good analogy.... Like the calm before the storm.

Lilly shut her eyes, ignoring the thunder as best she could. The warmth radiating from Cerberus helped, and the comfort she was getting from Death was also helping. She snuggled closer, hiding her face in his hair. Her gentle carress of her hands turned into a tight grip of his shirt as thunder cackled its chilling laughter throughout the mansion. Shivers ran down her spine as stories from childhood claimed her thoughts.

"You're so beautiful, Lilly. I hope that if you ever did leave, that you'd be happy where you turned up at." Death mumbled to her in a kind voice a he held her to him and kissed her cheek and neck gently every now and then. This is so nice, I enjoy it actually. I really, really do and I kind of wish shewouldn't leave.

Lilly heard what he said, and blushed. But she denied it. "No I'm not and I'm not leaving. " she mumbled into his hair, jumping slightly at another boom of thunder. Rain rain go away...Take your thunder to Mandalay...[/b] she thought, making the second part of the rhyme up.

He smiled at this and then moved so her face wasn't in his hair and so he could look her straight in the eyes once more. Death, leaned forward, so that their lips were almost touching and so she had a good look at his ruby eyes. "Yes, you're beautiful. Don't deny it, its a compliment you know?"

Lilly's eyes had been squeezed shut when he'd suddenly shifted under her. Her eyes opened after a moment, sensing his closeness. She stared into his ruby eyes, cheeks red and eyes wide with fear and anxiousness. Her voice disappeared. Where the hell was her voice? She needed to answer him. But all she could do was numble make a 'uh huh' noise in her throat.

"You're scared again..." He stated softly, hand moving to her cheek and caressing there gently. His eyes slowly searched hers and then his lips once again slowly moving against hers and then moved away. I should slow this down... Even hough I don't think i'd go farther then this anyways. Death thought to himself and let his eye lids move lower down.

Lilly felt lips pressed to hers, and she didn't have time to react. I'm...scared again...What am I scared of...The...The loud booming...What was it called? Thunder I think...but...What else could I be...scared...[/b] her thoughts were interupted by the beginning of rain pelting the window. Her eyes lowered, not admitting she was scared of him. How could she? She was still slightly fearful, and was worried that this was just a game the fates were playing. Voices mocked her in the back of her head, claiming all lives were games to them. She shut her eyes for a moment, gathering herself. "Yes. I'm scared." she answered softly.

Death smiled and then moved back a bit but still held her closely to his body, he didn't want her to be scared. "It's human to have fears... All people have fears... And I respect it if they can state them." He stated, he didn't know what he was saying it just sounded like he should give a life lesson. A life lesson... I know nothing of this life. All I know is what I do, what i'm good at, who I am, who my slaves are, who the ones I care for are and things like that. Right now... There are no slaves in this mansion...

Lilly made the 'uh huh' noise again and shut her eyes. Maybe...I shouldn't...go...to the party...but...Maybe a sibling...Or friend...will be there...I wish Master Death-er-Death could go...I wish I had a nickname to call him by too...[/b] she thought, eyes opening again and staring at his remarkably pale skin. How come death had to always be associated with pale and livelessness? Death wasn't dead. He had a heartbeat. He breathed. And then another question came to mind. "How come your always cold...Your skin's always so cold...It's cold..." she mumbled, or rather rambled softly to herself. Her eyes looked back into his ruby red ones, getting lost in them. "Are you afraid of anything, Death?" she asked.
