Lilly noticed that Death was blushing when she looked up at him, suprised he was helping her. She blushed more and continued. At some point, both their hands reached for the same paper. She pulled hers away, since he was closer. "Sorry...I tripped." she mumbled to Death. I tripped and the papers dropped...I didn't mean to say 'ah' in my head to you.[/b]

Death blinked, looking up at her and shrugging slightly, he didn't mind, it was her first time tripping and lots of people did it. "Don't worry about it, accidents happen all of the time." He replied to her, giving her a pat on the headand finishing picking up the papers from the ground.

Lilly stood and nodded. "I know." she mumbled and took the papers from his hands and began to reorganize them. Her blush hadn't faded yet. As soon as they were reorganized, she put those papers away. "Would you like some tea, Death?" she asked suddenly.

"Yes please, thank you." Death replied, he got up as he said this, dusting himself off and going back to his desk to sit down and start more organizing. Sorry, I couldn't reply just then, I was talking to someone else. Cerberus's voice came back, he had been talking to one of the workers in the underworld.

Lilly nodded and left to go make some. It's okay.[/b] she replied as she poured water into the pot. She began to boil it and took out the tea mixings and such. Once it finished, she got 2 cups, wanting some herself too, and set up a tray and began her way upstairs. She struggled a little to open the door, but managed on her own. She set the tray of things down on a chair in the room, and poured some tea into both cups. She walked over to Death and offered him his cup.

He took his cup from Lilly and brought it to his lips, it didn't burn his mouth at all from how cold he was already. Death thenked her and then set the tea cup down on the table, yawning a bit and getting back to work. Cerberus had stopped the connection, having saw a rat that he could chase for some training.

Lilly would sip her tea occassionally, but continued to work. She looked somewhat saddened. I don't think I got my message out. she thought glumly to herself, frowning blankly as if she were once again in her old ways of life. No thoughts could be read on her face.

He finished off his tea, he had watched Lilly a lot during thta time. Death yawned while he studied her face, his eyes closed after a moment and he was still, thinking of something to say. But nothing really came to mind so he was quite. She looks unexpressive... I wonder what's upsetting her.

Lilly was returning to the desk again, when she saw Death's cup was empty. "Would you like some more tea, Death?" she asked. Her voice was back to the way it was when she'd first arrived at the mansion: blank, thoughtless, not particularly human. Her cup was still half full, since she hadn't drinken from it much.

"Er... No thank you, Lilly. I'm fine." Death replied, he stared up at her, eyebrows raised in silent shock of her attitude. He didn't know she could be so emotionless once again after all that had ahappened there. "Are you feeling alright?" The man stated, standing from his desk and placing his hand to her forehead and then her cheeks gently.

Lilly had cocked her head to the side at his expression, becoming confused. Her cheeks flushed lightly as he checked her temperature, then put his cool hands on her now warm cheeks. "I'm fine...Why?" she asked. She hadn't been expecting that, since he didn't seem interested in her anymore, and now her train of thought was scattered.

He stared at her, leaning for ward he removed his had from her cheek to put them on his desk and support himself. Death pressed his cheek to one of her's, trying to feel the tempeature that way, she was warm there but not her head. "Odd, odd indeed. Your cheeks are warm." He muttered, leaning back and moving around the desk, looking her over and moving her around gently.

Lilly looked baffled. "Huh?" she asked, cheeks reddening more. "Y-yeah....I guess..." she mumbled, not knowing where that statement was exactly going at all. He was moving her around, which only succeeded in making her more confused about what he was doing.

"You might be getting what i'm getting, your face is also red. Does your throat feel tight at all, Lilly?" Death questioned, he grabbed a hold of her face in his hands and tilted her head from side to side, looking at her neck while doing so. One hand moved to there, rubbing it softly and moved lower to the base of her neck. "I'm just seeing if your sick..."

Yes. she thought jokingly to herself. "Not really. I don't feel sick at all, Death. I shouldn't be getting sick for another week or so..." she drifted off, not really in the mood to go into the explaination of her pre-period flu she always got. Her face slowly lost its flush; he was checking her temperature for illness. Nope. The fates were wrong...Or something. she thought to herself.
