Her mouth dropped open and slowly she leaned forwards and felt his forehead for any signs of illness. "Oh my god... You apologized to me for being rude and it was sincere..." Dez muttered out, him doing such a thing was so shocking that she could barely believe it had really came from his mouth.

Kain started to laugh. "Yeah, yeah, whatever...C'mon, Dezirae, we need to walk." he said, teasing slightly and still laughing. "I can't be sincere?"

She shrugged slowly and grabbed the man's arm, watching him. "I didn't ever think you'd apologize for teasing me... It's just weird and I also didn't think you could be sincere while apologizing except when we made up last week."

Kain snorted. "No, I cna be sincere...It's just rare. I have to like you a lot for it to happen." he stated, but was in denial. You just had to be considered a friend and he'd be sincere, sometimes.

Her eyebrows raised at this, "Really now? My dad loves me more then anything in the world and he's never apologized to me... But it may be different where you're from." Dez then smiled, she might as well not bother arguing about it.

"It is...Normally we don't apologize...I'm one of the rare few that do..." he shrugged. "I should go visit. Portal 4 opens up soon, and I'd only be gone a week...Maybe you could come to!" he offered, smiling. "You could meet my aunt and uncle."

"I'll go with you if you want, it's only fair anyways, since you got to meet my dad and all." Dez said and smiled to herself, seeing a petstore, she looked in the windows at the little puppies that play fought with one another. I think I should get a puppy soon... a white, male irish wolfhound. Dez thought to herself, looking away from the small creatures as they got past the store.

Kain smiled. "I wonder if they're still alive. I haven't seen them in over 3 years, and Dyra's life expectancy, if you live healthy and such, is only 50...They were both about 47." he pondered.

"Oh, that's sad." Dez murmered out, thinking on it as well. "That's really sad, but maybe they did live, you never know." She stated and played with her long dark brown hair, eyes watching her feet.

"Hopefully. Dyra's always at war...IT's...sad." he mumbled, getting dark for a moment, then getting better. "I'm glad I'm here now. It's...well, it's dark here too, but a lot better. And it can always get better..."

She nodded her head in agreement. "You're right, though it can always get darker here to, with the way the governments working these days." Dez said, more to herself then to Kain. "So should we go home tonight or tomorrow?"

"It can't be as bad as Dyra, not for awhile...Not yet." he said, sounding very sad. "I hope not." Kain thought for a moment, then shrugged. "You drove us here, so up to you I guess."
((Dyra...I think I made it so dark and...bad, so to speak, to represent all the bad on our planet...I've been thinking a lot about War lately since I've watched the movie Platoon...I think a lot about our planet and life here because of my history teacher, who inspires me to learn...sorry for the random thing here.))

((No worries, I was actually thinking about getting a bunch of my friends together and holding a strike against logging up in our mountains.))
She watched him, she was concerned about the man, she had never seen him so... She didn't know how to put it, because it wasn't exactly sad in a way. "We... we can go home tonight." Dez had stopped to look away from him and watch where she was going.
