Her eyes widened in a mother's saddness. "What about the baby?" she asked softly. Amy sounded like she was almost done.

Ethan was unsure of what to say. He really wanted to lie and say that they lost the baby but figured that might make things worse. "I don't think now is the time to talk about that.." he ansered.

She nodded as Amy returned. Amy's small smile dropped at her mother's face. "Oh, Amy..." Alexis wept and pulled her daughter into a tight embrace. Amy hugged her mother back, hiding her face.

Ethan walked into the kitchen, feeling akward at being in the same room as the emotional women.

Alexis sat Amy down and began to comfort her child. Amy cried a few times, from pain and laughter, and fell asleep on the couch. Alexis found a blanket and covered her up, caressing her baby's hair gently. She looked up, black locks hiding her icey eyes, and looked towards the kitchen. "Do you love her?" Alexis asked Ethan, loud enough so he could hear.

This was awkward. "I like her very much and am very protective of her. I truely wish she would be happy again."

"You don't want to lead her on in case you don't love her..." she murmured sadly, leaning agianst he fridge. "Why not take a risk? WHy not...see if you love her?" she asked, wanting her daughter's happiness above all things. It was unfortunate she seemed to have imprinted on Ethan.

"Because taking that chance may crush her more in the end, making the attempt pointless. Why should i risk her metal health like that?"

"What if you aren't her imprinti though? If you take the chance, both of you find that out...I mean, she thinks you're her lifemate because you got her pregnant once...It isn't uncommon for halfbreeds to imprint twice."

"I don't believe she is wrong." he stated. He couldn't imagine Amy acting the way she had on a false thought.

"I'm not saying she's wrong, I'm saying that you might be a temporary lifemate..." she sighed. "I shouldn't be trying to say these things...THey're horrible...I remember, before my husband turned me, how hard it was to accept that he loved me and only me...I..." Alexis was remembering when she was human and unable to return her husband's love. Her reasons were out of fear and out of denial.

"I just want her to be happy." she mumbled unhappily. Alexis went out to her daughter and stayed by her side while the red-headed girl slept on. Another question came up. Alexis walked back to EThan. "I know I've already made this very ackward...I remember why I fell for my husband finally...Have you ever kissed Amy? Like really kissed her, not just during sex?" she asked.
((and they haven't! XD i checked!))
