Cursing softly, Keryian drew his sword. "Come out whoever you are, I know your here." A few seconds later, they emerged from the woods, graveful beings of nature, each having long flowing hair and pointed ears, as long as eerie slanted eyes.
"Elves, what means have you of this?" Keryian asked gruffly.

Reason looked at the elves in awe. She still kept her hand on her sword though, not knowing if they were friend or foe. This world seemed to reveal everything that she had ever wanted to see. Yet they were all distorted, the demons wanting to kill her, the castles huge and not as safe as they looked in the pictures in fairytale books. How did she know elves were good?

The leader of the vagabond group stepped forward. She was tall and lythe, with long white blue hair and pale blue eyes, a large bow strapped to her back. "We have heard word that you will be marching into battle against the Dark Lord."
Keryian nodded. "What does this mean to you? Elves have long been know for they're neutrality. Your kind don't go to war." The woman nodded in understanding.
"It has been so for centuries, yet....we cannot deny that a great darkness is comming, which will take the whole realms cooporation to defeat."
"What are you saying? That you will lead your race to battle with us?" The woman stared in silence at Keryian a moment, then bowed to her knees.
"If you are willing, we would be happy to side with you in this battle."

Reason felt that this was her turn to speak. "Then rise, Larian, Leader of the Wise, and protect the coming of light." Her voice seemed to echo, fading off in the end. She held her head up, her body straight.

Keryian frowed, turning to Reason as the elf jerked her head to her. "What did you say?" Keryian asked her.
"Yes, what did you just call me?" the elf stepped forward with a frown.

"Larian, Leader of the Wise." Reason repeated calmly. She met the elves' gaze full on, her own full of calm. She didn't answer Keryian's question, for she knew he had heard. "I trust you to protect this world agianst evil well."

The elf queen turned her narrowed eyes to Keryian. "No one has called me by my chosen name for centuries, only the elders of my village knew of it, yet the lips of this human have spoken it. How can this be?"
Keryian sighed, staring down at Reason. "Looks can be decieving." he said simply. The elf queen returned her gaze to Reason.
"Are you saying that she is not human?"
"Not fully." Keryian replied.

Reason smiled slightly, her hair falling down around her shoulders. She seemed to shine, although no sun hit her. She bowed her head slightly to the elf queen. "Believe me, I just found out about it. It seems even what you are can hide from yourself." She shifted in the saddle slightly, leaning back on Keryian agian.

Keryian unknowingly wrapped his steel arm around her middle, drawing her to him possissively. The elf queen bowed low, her silent warriors quickly following suite. "It is a please to make your aquantiance, Reason the Unknown. I will enjoy traveling with you these past few days. If I we are allowed, that is." she said, her gaze sliding to Keryian.
Keryian sighed atop the horse, knowing that as soon as he said yes he would have a powerful alie on his side, and yet it also meant that he and Reason would not be traveling alone after all. Quickly banishing the suprising thought from his mind he nodded. "It will be an honor to have you along side."
The elf queen smiled brightly, bowing to Keryian this time. "You may call me Farah. Larian is a name that I rarely abide by now days."
"It is nice to meet you, Farah of the Fairones."

Reason sighed, feeling better once Keryian was holding her. The elves silently fell beside them, and they continued on thier way. Although her mind told her that she was safer, her heart ached at all the people surrounding her and Keryian. She didn't want to share him, wanted him to be with her as long as she could have him.

"I have to go back to the castle!" Keryian called behind him to the elves following silently. "I shall return shortly." with that he turned his black war horse and lead him into a gallop back to the castle.

Reason gasped slightly at the change in speed, closing her eyes, for the world seemed to fly by her. Her hands went over her eyes, and was glad the Keryian's arm was around her waist. She wondered why they had to go back to the castle. They had just left there.

Reason nodded slightly, still keeping her eyes firmly closed. Finally, they slowed, and she breathed out a sigh of relief. "Are we there?" She asked quietly, her eyes still firmly shut.
