She giggled, one of her reactions to fear. Of course there was no phone! That would only make this place more scary, so of course there wasn't one. "No, I'm not...the accent should indicate that," she mumbled, sarcasm marring her tone as she looked around the library then at the door once again, coming face to face with a scarred tan girl with damp hair. She mumbled something then left. Caryssa vaguely made out the words 'library' and 'can't read.' Odd. she thought. SHe noticed Sidhe eyeballing her and looked herself over. She didn't see anything that odd...WHat was she eyeballing then?

"You don't have to live in a different country to have an accent, you little fucking bitch. Don't talk to him like that." Requiem hissed lowly out, clearly angered by her sarcasticness, he lifted his hand to hit her but he heard Vess clear his throat. "You, Caryssa... Are nervous, you have every right to be, but you think that we're crazy. Well, we're not, we're not human either." Vess spoke calmly and kindly, Wheeler walked in at this moment and stopped in the doorway, blinking and then sighing sadly. The sad man held a box of band-aids out to Caryssa and waited for her to take them.

She braced herself to be hit and clamped her eyes shut, waiting for the pain to come. SHe opened her eyes when he started to speak, glancing at Requiem first before looking to Vess. She listened silently and shook her head, but his tone hit her next and she gulped, glancing to Requiem first before to Wheeler. "Can I use your bathroom?" she asked Vess, voice a croak as she realized something she had not before. She felt like a wall of bricks had hit her.

Vess grimaced and let out a soft laugh. "Yeah, you can go use the bathroom, I just need to say this though, you're safe around all of us." He assured her and smiled a little, gesturing for Wheeler to get out of the way, which he did. "I'll hurt her." Requiem snapped and gave her a nasty glare and then looked away from her, his hand moving down to his side again. Sidhe scoffed and Creed laughed at what Requiem said. "Bathroom is down the hall, last door on the right." Vess explained to her gently and smiled apologetically at her.

Caryssa shot him a dirty look and moved out of the room quickly, moving down the hall. She was almost to the bathroom when she paused to lean against the wall, inhaling sharply. Her bones in her leg...They hurt. They hurt a lot. She ground her teeth and forced herself to walk into the bathroom and took a seat. The pain in her right leg and left leg hurt like broken bones and such. She fixed her left knee and sat for a few moments. She stood and headed to the door and walked out. She didn't realize, not fully, but she was suffering from two serious diseases of the same sort. She coughed on her way towards the library, which she'd grown accustomed to- the coughs and the random boughts of intense bone pain. She hadn't informed anyone about it, thinking with plenty of denial that it was just a growth spurt and the common cold...She didn't want to think it could be cancer, which ran in her family on both sides.

Requiem looked up when she came in, he wa the only one standing now, he blinked at her and took in a deep breath, his eyes narrowed and he looked away from her again, scowling. Vess was lazily reading a book, his head leaning back into the couch. "Do you believe that we're not human, I can show you that we're not..." He said and looked over at Creed who immediately stood and grinned, stretching and making his way over to a more open area in the room. The hybrid closed his eyes for a moment and then there was a 'poof', there he was in his demon form on the ground, his large purple wings spreading out quite far and flapping a bit before curling back in.

Caryssa stared at the wolf, her face becoming empty. "I got bitten by a spider, didn't I? I'm hallucinating," she mumbled and shook her head at herself, knowing she couldn't deny herself out of this situation. SHe closed her eyes and leaned against the doorway, pinching the bridge of her nose. "What are you...Guy whose pushy?" she asked, not knowing his name but now being in the situation where she should know it. She glanced up when she heard another person enter.
Damon had walked past her, but had paused and glanced at her once inside. He hummed, before walking onwards and getting lost in the shelves. She smells very ill. I doubt she'll live longer than a year or so. he thought as he weaved his way through the shelves.

"Pfft, vampire, you idiot. Vess and Sidhe are vampires too, there are also three other vampires here." Requiem answered, he was pissed because of her 'Guy whos pushy' thing. "Don't talk to her like that, Requiem, she didn't know we existed." Creed replied, still in his winged-wolf form. Vess sighed and looked at Caryssa, wondering if she was alright.

Caryssa ignored pushy- Requiem- and looked to Vess. "Wh-where am...Supposed to go?" she asked. Vampires couldn't go out in the day, so she was pretty sure none of them could drive her to the airport. Or could the wolf- one do it? SHe'd ask later, she supposed. She coughed again, covering her mouth and clamping her eyes shut. Damn, this sucked. Her chest hurt just as bad as her legs.

Vess frowed at her coughing, he could tell something was wrong with her, he sighed and smiled a little. "You can stay here for the night, and... Well, we'll figure out that tomorrow. Now... Maybe you should go and rest, you seem sick." He suggested and watched Creed turn back into his human form from the corner of his gaze. Requiem walked over to Caryssa and grasped her shoulder, yanking her out of the library to take her to a room. "I don't want to fucking hear your voice, so keep yourself quiet." He snapped as they walked, he had gotten impatient again and had just forced her out of the room.
Talon walked into the library silently, looking around at everyone that was in there and humming quietly, she noticed the new scents in the room and blinked and walked over to the very tall shelves and spotting Damon, she hesitantly made her way over to him. "You're... A gargoyle?" She asked him curiously, her long black hair was all over the place and her red eye shadow and paper white skin really forced her eyes out at him. Talon crossed her arms and looked at him very curiously, her eyes half lidded and very interested in his answer.

She glowered at Requiem and mouthed some unsavory things about the man, but not one peep was heard from her lips. Vampire or not, he shouldn't be treating her like some kind of dog. She wondered which room she was going to get in this house, and what condition it would be in. Maybe she'd have to squish a few bugs and dust before she could lay down...Why live here? This place was a dump.
Damon looked at the tiny paper-white girl and nodded. "Yes. My name is Damon- you must be Talon," he said, extending his hand. "Excuse me if I'm being presumptuous and am incorrect." He noted how frail she was, and how beautiful and childlike she appeared. But she was a demonness, and they were never good...At least, as far as he knew.

He got her to a room and opened a door and shoved her inside, the room was in good shape, there were any bugs in the house, but it was dusty and the drapes were quite tattered and ripped up. "Don't try anything weird tonight, human, everyone else might be nice, but I am not, i'll fucking rip you apart if you do anything fucked up." Requiem warned her coldly.
She grasped his hand with her petite but long fingered hand and then let go and crossed her arms over her chest once again. "You're correct, i'm Talon... It's a pleasure. If you don't mind me asking, what is it like being a gargoyle? How did you become one?" Talon asked curiously, she mentally hummed at his handsomeness but looked away, she didn't care if he was good looking or not, she only wanted to learn about his species.

Caryssa glowered at him. "Yes, oh threatening Requiem," she muttered and went to the bed and flopped down, eyes fluttering shut for a moment as pain in her back rippled through her, making her wince noticeably. She pulled herself more onto the bed and turned on her side, facing away from him, if he was still there. Exhaustion kicked in along with another cough, this one much worse than the last one. SHe tasted blood in her mouth once she finished, but swallowed it quickly. No, she was not and would not be sick, she told herself. She glowered at the wall and exhaled in a controled, but relaxed manner. Just calm down, she told herself.
Damon slid a book back into its place since it had been out of order. "Cursed family sort of deal. Being a gargoyle is like being a vampire, except with less blood lust and a much stronger body," he answered. "Also, we can fly." He smirked and winked at her. "If we have wings in our statue form that is."

He smelt the blood and gave her back a very cold glare, he wanted to hit her, but she was already in lot's of pain. "Weak human." Requiem muttered and turned away from her and left the room, slamming the door roughly shut behind him. His eyes narrowed and he closed his eyes, counting how many people were in the house. Twelve, one human, six vampires, two hybrids, one demon, and a gargoyle. This isn't supposed to be somewhere where many people congregate. The vampire thought, angered by the many people in the mansion. Sighing in frustration he made his way back to the library where everyone else was.
Talon turned toward the shelf and looked over the books, ignoring his wink and humming softly at the information. "How many generations has this curse gone through? Do you have any weakness's?" She asked and grabbed a book, opening it up and flipping through it boredly, her eyes emotionless, she looked quite unenthusiastic.

"Pushy vamp with a stick up his ass," she muttered once the door was slammed shut. SHe knew he'd hit her or something, and she didn't want to completely risk it, but if this treatment continued, his name would no longer be Requiem, but Jerkoff. She hated when people were always angry, and he didn't strike her as the type to 'talk about his feelings in a level-headed, rational manner.' SHe groaned as she rolled her eyes and coughed again. "Jeeze, Mitch was better than you..." Mitch was the most annoying, bossy, pushy kid in the class and was a know-it-all around camping things. She hoped he fell in a well.
Damon thought back over his five centuries of living. "A lot of generations...Rumor is only one has been released from the spell in my family," he answered and sighed. "Weakness: sun, things that destroy stone, natural erosion...Witches...And time. Sometimes, if we dont' move, we stop moving completely and become the stone we're cursed to be during the day," he answered and sighed. "My uncle and aunt did that."
Zack sauntered through the hallways alone, sniffing. He smelled human and blood, and was craving it now. God he was hungry. He didn't know how Kaelyn lived off those feeble hospital packages with the pre-drained blood. Where was the fun in that? You just sucked and went- like fast food. It wasn't fun food...He licked his lips as he neared the room she was in, eyes glowing in anticipation. Would he swoon her, convince her of some sinful fantasy come true then take her neck in his fangs and-WOAH! He sniffed again and made a face. Sickly humans tasted awful! Why did this one still smell like sunflowers and rain? It was very peculiar. Backing away, he had to think about it now. Take the nasty meal, or no? Well, she should grow accustomed to the lives of vampires...So maybe on little taste...He licked his lips again, eyeballing her room.
Lilly had sniffed the human and didn't even pick up on the scent of illness, because she had grown accustomed to it. She was desensitized. SHe was in the living room, perched on a broken couch that Xavier was examining. SHe'd opted to help him out while he reconstructed, since she had no home and he could supply her with vampire blood as payment- apparently labs used that stuff a lot. She was smiling like an idiot- she had a job and food and hopefully shelter now. Xavier was surprised when he had heard Lilly request help, and when she wanted payment in vampire- not human- but vampire blood. He had never met a slave before, so he didn't understand why she wanted such nasty stuff. But he agreed, and now had someone to work with that seemed reliable and understanding...But she also seemed uneducated. He wondered if she could read.
Kaelyn skipped along an empty hallway, running a finger down the wall and then once at the end, examining how dusty it was. She cringed and wiped it off and sniffed. Human? Wow, this place just kept getting more and more interesting.
