"I don't have that certain look?" she asked, mostly just to keep him talking. He was a good distraction.

"Yeah," he giggled, "Singed (sp?) around the edges."

Amanda smiled slightly. "So where are we going and why are we going there?" She turned her gaze to the form she was suppossed to be filling out. Oh how she hated forms.

"We're going to the Wardrobe," Trial explained. "It's where all the excess clothes goes to get cleaned and refreshed." He concidered for a moment. "It's funny," he said, "I don't think we even traffic in clothes, but from the looks of it, it would most certainly appear that we do."

((my internet seems like its slowly dieing =/))
"And we're going there to get me some clothes for when I'm exiled to the middle of nowhere?" She couldn't keep the bitterness out of her voice. She'd find a way out of this mess though, somehow. That thought was the only reason she wasn't being a complete bitch and raising hell.

"Now, now, chipper up," Trial chided. "It's not that bad. Hell, I did it, and look at me. I'm fine." The pair turned another corner and arrived at yet another door. This one was locked. "Hang on..." Trail muttered as he fumbled for the proper key.
((You should tell it Hellboy will kick its ass if it dies. Works for me ^^))

"I've spent my whole life trying to get away from gangs... Going to gang training doesn't exactly seem like a step in the right direction." she pointed out as she watched him search for the key.
((Haha, alright, I'll try that.))

"Oh really?" Trial said sarcastically as he put in the key. "The only daughter of one of the biggest mob bosses in town, and you still try to manage avoiding gangs? I'd spend more time avoiding bullets if I were you." He opened the door. The room was quite oddly proportioned and decorated for a room in a mansion. The Wardrobe had a high ceiling from which dozens of lamps were evenly dispersed in a grid-like fashion. Aisles upon aisles of clean, mostly new clothes of all sizes and fashions were hung on hangers or folded neatly in stacks. "Take whatever you want," Trial said. "I saw some stuff in your bag that looked like some of the new stuff we got over on the leftmost aisles."

"Trying was the key word in what I said. I try very hard. I can't even tell you how many times I've tried to run away. I never said I succeeded. Though I have dodged my own fair share of bullets." she muttered as she looked around the room. She left her bags and her form by him and walked off to go find some clothes. She moved her sunglasses out of her face so she could properly see. She started off to where Trial said there would probably be clothes she liked.

Trial walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. "I'll just wait here," he said.

Amanda gave him a thumbs up before dissapearing down one of the aisles. It didn't take her long to return to Trial with her arms full of jeans and shirts and hoodies. It looked like a lot, but in reality it was a reasonable amount of clothes. "Is it going to be cold whereever it is that I'm going?" She couldn't remember how to pronouce the name of her future prison so she didn't even bother trying.

"Yes, very," Trial replied. "Expect sub-freezing temperatures every day." He took a pair of jeans of the top and looked at the tag. "These are cotton. They will kill you if you get them wet. They absorb water too well. Water transfers heat quickly. It's worse than going naked," he said, tossing them to the side.
((It's true, my gramps was in search+rescue. Makes for interesting dinner convo... sorry off-topic))

She bit back the urge to sigh in frustration. "Well then, why don't you help me find some clothes that won't kill me? I've lived in the city all my life, I don't exactly have any expirience with sub-freezing temperatures." In this caase, she didn't have a problem asking for help.

Trial took her down some aisles on the other side of the Wardrobe. He picked a few shirts and a pair of old boots, as well as some ugly black poofy pants and a lambskin pancho. "Now they ain't pretty, but they'll keep you warm. You'll want a hat and some sunscreen, too. Snow will burn you just as fast as a day at the beach." Trial stepped back. "Pick a few more things like what I just gave you."

Amanda nodded and went to get more appropriate clothes. "Am I going to be inside most of the time?" she asked as she looked. She returned a few minutes later with some snow approved attire. She was a fast learner.
