Malik had just gotten off the airplane when one of his superiors grabbed him roughly and dragged him out of the airport to the car. "Newbie, it's your lucky day. Another body was found." It was easy to tell they were heading to the scene. He inwardly sighed, yes, he was new, fresh out of college, and has had the newbie experience multiple times, but there was something about the way this man said it that irked him. Malik tuned in at the end of his superior's speech, "...I've been working this case for a long time, so don't fuck it up." He warned, "Oh, the names Andy." He finished, glancing down at his watch and cursing to himself.
The scene was run down, very dumpy building. Malik followed Andy through the crowd of people, who were peering past the officers, hoping to get a glimpse of the mutilated body. Malik bit his lip, 'How annoying. Then again, this is the only excitement they've probably had in a while.' "So, is this place abandoned?" Malik asked curiously, and recieved a nod from another officer, who had his hand over his nose. "It fucking reaks in there. Fuckin' peace of god damn work. God damnit!" He yelled, leaving the building. "Newbie! Come on, we didn't hire you to stand around!" Andy shouted. Malik wanted to make a snarky comment, but held back, and shuffled his way to the back room. When he walked throught the doorway the smell hit him, it was rancid. Malik walked up to Andy, and pulled out a recorder. "It's the same M.O. That's modus operandi." Andy informed. 'Shit, really. I've gone through all those years thinking it was something else. Fucking idiot.' Malik thought bitterly, and took a step closer to the body.
Malik started talking to the recorder, "A nude woman, looks to be late 20's, early 30's. Hands are bound behind her back." Malik paused to push her head up, and stared into two gaping black holes. "....her eyes have been gouged out." Malik's eyes moved down the body, "Her belly has been cut open, with a pair of two other hands placed inside, possibly another victim's. The hands are holding her heart." Malik stood up, his bones cracking as he did so. "This is the same killer," he told the recorder, "Her heart was cut out and replaced. It's his signature." Malik stared at the woman, remembering that all the bodies were found in public places, so he had to have some strength to carry the dead weight. Malik looked over his shoulder to Andy, "How did he carry the bodies to these places unnoticed?" Andy opened his mouth to respond, and when nothing came out, all Malik could think was, 'Andy, you are a fucking idiot.'

Violet was walking down the street, her male, pure white, great pyrenees on a leash walking calmly at her side. She sighed, she could feel the energy of many humans all gathered one point, and she was walking directly toward it. This either meant that she'd be walking into a group of very loudly speaking people or that they would all be whispering. Both of those sounded extremely annoying at the moment.
As the woman got closer to the crowd she began to notice everything, she gave a mental 'oh' of interest and continued walking over, stopping a couple feet behind the crowd and looking at the building. Her dog took a seat at her side patiently, nosing at the gorund a little before he laid down, waiting until they'd start walking again.
She listened to the crowd, hearing things about murder, and something about a serial killer. Well, that was different from the usual gang related or singular murder that went on in the city. Violet stood on her tip-toes, removing her sunglasses to try to get a better look of what was going on. Usually she was one to mind her own business, but she was a sucker for interesting things.

Malik and Andy left the building, once the body was removed he would go back, if he could stand in that room alone he knew he would be able to place himself in the killer's mind. Going through the crowd Malik bumped shoulders with another man, he glared over his shoulder, cold gray eyes connecting with alluring golden ones. The man also glared, then smirked, turning his head back around, Malik did the same, and shook his head. They stopped at the end of the crowd, Andy handed him a cigarette, which he happily accepted, 'I haven't had a smoke in 12 hours, 12 hours!' He thought bitterly, yet no emotion reflected onto his face. He placed the small stick between his lips, and lit it, sighing in content. Malik glanced over the crowd, but stopped at one woman, she had a dog. He stared at the dog for a few long seconds, then turned away, throwing his cigarette and stomping it out. "Well kido, let's get back to work." Andy mumbled, and got into the same car as before, Malik followed.
The building was big, and filled with people rushing about, Andy laughed and shook his head, "We call this headquarters, ya' know, just for fun." He informed. Malik raised an eyebrow, 'Yeah, there is no fucking way I am calling this place heaquarters, it's fucking stupid.' Yeah, Malik had a potty mind. Inside people could be heard, joking about the body, "Yeah, I bet she was hot, I mean, c'mon, did you see the size of her boobs!" One man yelled, causing his "friends" to laugh along with him. "Why is that funny?" Malik asked, stepping into Andy's office, "The need to let some steam off, and that's the only way the know how I suppose." Andy replied, lifting the big box of information on the killer. "Why not just revert to alcohol." Malik retorted, wasn't that what people normally did? "Here, these are the case files, take them home, make notes, solve the case, yatta, yatta, yatta. I will see you tomorrow, bright and early." Malik just nodded, and grabbed the heavy box.
His apartment was small, but bearable, hell, he wouldn't even be here that much to care. Malik dropped the box on a dinky table and pulled out the first case file, it as dated three years ago. Malik pulled out another cigarette. Was this his first murder? Malik couldn't be sure until the caught the guy, and he woukld only find out if the man cooperates. By midnight Malik had gone through most of the files, he hadn't come up with much, except that the man moved the bodies to public places, with no witnesses. "Maybe he killed them there." Malik told himself, but dismissed the thought, there was no evidence to prove that, or maybe it was yet to be found. "He always does something with the heart." He sighed, he was definately going back to the building tomorrow, maybe he'd find something the others missed.
Back at his crime scene, the body was finally being removed, she was covered up, but not for long. The crowd wanted to see, and ignored the protests from the officers, and the men carrying the body, and soon, her cover was ripped off, revealing the woman in all her naked glory. Aaron briefly stared at his victim before walking away, shouts and gasps heard in the background. He stopped at the end of the crowd, 'So they've gotten a new member, he looks absolutely delicious, it should be fun to play with his mind.' He thought, his eyes shifting down to the corner, 'It must be time for me to change my M.O. I'm bored with my regular routine. It's risky, but what's life without a little risk.' He thought, chuckling, he knew this would throw the police off. He half-smirked, he wouldn't completely change it. 'Now to find my next partner.' His eyes landed on the same woman Malik's had, and all Aaron could do was smirk.

She watched the crowd, backing away a little so that no one would accidently touch her, she wasn't much for physical contact, she'd avoided it a lot as a young child. Violet watched the detectives and other people working on the scene start to move around, her eyes catching sight of Malik as he looked at her dog. The woman rose an eyebrow and looked away, one hand on her slender hip.
Her dogs ears flapped a little and she blinked, watching him sit up and start snififng around again. "Mm, something interesting, hon?" Violet muttered under her breath, gently scratching the dogs large, furry head and looking around again. Her eyes landed on the dead body and she cringed, so that was what her dog was smelling, rotting human corpse. "Lovely." She said, not really affected by it, she had read, watched, and seen a lot of horrible things in her life, this was just another one of them.
Feeling eyes on her she looked up and around until she spotted the offender, she stared back at the man before looking away and starting to walk. The excitement was over and now she wanted to take her dog for the rest of his walk before heaidng back home and figuring out what she was going to eat for dinner.

The next morning Malik returned to the building, looking for something, anything. He sighed, this was so irritating, there was nothing. How were there no witnesses, this place is perfect for addicts and homeless people to hang around in. Another good question popped into his head, 'Who'se hands were inside of her. Fingerprints! They might match up to someone.' He hoped, quickly going to his work building. He confronted Andy, "Those other hands, the fingerprints, any matches?" He asked, Andy shook his head, "The tips of the fingers were cut off. Wonderful, right?" Andy sighed, "This case has no suspects, none." Andy had bags under his eyes, he was losing himself to this case. Malik looked at Andy, "Let's revisit all the scenes." Andy groaned, but nodded.
Aarron walked into his favorite cafe, he was a regular, so they already had his order. He sat down at a corner table, listening to a song his was fond of that was currently being played 'And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall...' He really enjoyed White Rabbit, he had no idea why, he just did. His thoughts were interuppted when a blonde girl sat down in front of him. "Hello, you looked lonely, so I thought I'd give you some company." She smiled. Aaron smiled back, "Why, thank you, that is mighty kind." He said, feigning happiness. After a short, and very boring conversation she switched to the recent murder. "Terrible isn't it. Who could do something like this?" She asked, shaking her head. 'Uh, me.' The woman kept going on about how he was a monster. Aaron pretened to be interested in the conversation, and nodded his head, making her think he agreed 100%. Then she said something that could him off guard, "He might think he's sending a message or whatever but he's not, he just needs to stop listening to the voices." Woah, what, did she think he was schizophrenic, because he wasn't. "Why do you assume he's schizophrenic?" Aaron asked her, she crossed her arms. "Well, they are all the same, schizophrenic people, psychopaths, sociopaths. They are all the same." She informed him, nodding her head as she did so. Aaron stared at her, dumbfounded, the stupid blonde thought we were all the same. These made him mad, but he didn't show, no, he'd do that later. 'She'll be perfect for the next kill.' He thought darkly.

Violet walked into the coffee shop, looking as cool and collected as ever, another pair of dark, mirrored aviaters covering her emotionless eyes. She glanced around the cafe to see if there was anyone there that she knew before finding herself a seat near the windows and ordering herself a tea.
Her eyebrows shot up as she recognized the song being played and hummed, it wa sodd to hear such a song in this sort of establishment, usually in cafes or coffee shops jazz was being played. Violet removed her sunglasses and pushed some hair behind her left ear. She remember watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the scene would come up where the high Attorney wanted Johnny Depp to toss the radio into the bathtub as soon as White Rabbit had reached its climax and kill him. She licked her lips and took a little drink of her tea, looking out the window to make sure her dog was safetly tied up out there.
Hearing something even more interesting then the music she turned her head a little, eyes still on the window though. She could hear people talking about the murder, she snorted at what the woman was saying about how schizophrenics, psychopaths, and sociopaths were all the same. Of course they weren't all the same. Psychopaths, from what Violet had learnt, were people with a emotional disorder, prone to lying, heedlessness, extremely low ability to control themselves, sexual promiscuity and lacking in the ability to feel remorse, regret, or empathy. Now, sociopaths could be linked with psychopaths to some degree due to both lacking in remorse and being rather anti-social. But schizophrenics different symptoms, causes, and mechanisms.
The woman sighed and took another drink, watching out the window as a person walked up to her dog and petted him on the head before going on their merry little way again.

Marick and Andy took a moment out of there day to stop by the coffee shop. Malick's hands were shoved into his pockets, one hand twiddling a cigarette. He paused in front of a familiar dog and kneeled down and took his hand out, petting the dog. "The woman that owns this dog was at the crime scene." He remembered. Andy looked down, then snapped his finger, "Right, she might know something." He said, sounding hopeful. "Which one is she?" He asked, and Malick pointed to Violet. Andy whistled, which caused Malick to look up at him confused, 'Why is he whistling?' He thought, shaking his head, the concept of whistling at beautiful women never made sense to him. Malick cleared his throat, "Well, it's your turn to buy, so get me a cinnamon-dolce latte." Marick told him, Andy sighed, "Yeah, yeah."
Malick gave the dog one last pat before standing up and entering the cafe. He walked over to Violet, and grabbed a chair, not caring how rude he was. "Hello, I am Marick with the BAU, and we are investing the recent murders taking place here. We-Me and that awkward looking man- Andy, noticed you at the recent crime scene, well actually there were a lot of people, but that's not the point." He talked in monotone, talking out his credentials and setting them on the table, in case she was one of those people, "Anyways, have you noticed anything or anyone acting incredibly weird, anyone besides me?" He asked taking out a notepad. Andy walked over with two drinks, and smiled at Violet. "Hey, I'm Andy." He said, his smile becoming goofy. Malick raised an eyebrow, "See, he's awkward." Malick stated, unaware of the golden eyes watching them with interest.
Aaron's interest rose when he saw Malick outside petting some dog. He watched, smiling. He noticed the man walk over to a woman, he had also seen her before. she also seemed interesting. He watched the man talk. Aaron rested his chin on his hands, his eyes flickered back to the rambling woman, she had no idea that he wasn't paying attention, she was to into herself. 'Pfft, like there's anything special to her.' He thought, eyes returning to Malick, and Violet, then Andy showed up. 'Fucking socially awkward detective, how the hell did he get so high up sitting on his ass?' Aaron wondered, this man claimed to be dead set on solving Aaron's case, yet all these years he's gotten jack-shit, and Aaron hated it, but he was positive this new man would provide a challenge.

Violet sat up a little more in her seat, her eyes narrowing as the detectives from the day before pet her dog. She watched their lips moving, her head inclining as she was gestured at by the young, new detective. Her clenched fist relaxed and she sat back, looking away, not worried about the safety of her dog since it was detectives that were giving him attention. She always worried about the canine, he was expensive and beautiful, she wouldn't put it past some thug to try and steal him to get some money. That's why she never let him out of her sight, even when she wasn't watching him she knew exactly what was going on.
She wasn't phased as Marick took a seat across from her, she remained completely unsurprised and relaxed, extremely elegant. "Good morning to you too, Detective Marick. There's no need to bring out your credentials, I may seem oblivious but I did observe you working at the crime scene yesterday." Violet spoke, her voice was like velvet, not one hint of harshness or contempt. She lifted her tea cup and took a sip, watching him from over the rim with cold eyes. The woman may not have shown it or vocalized it, but she was angry with him and his extreme lack of couth, it gave her more reason to detest the general public. "No, I haven't witnessed any strange behavior." She answered, turning her head as Andy approached, she gave him a slight smile of greeting. "Hello, Andy, it's a pleasure." The woman said, her unfeeling eyes meeting his. "Awkward, really? I wouldn't think that at all, actually, I would say that you, Detective Marik, are far more inept. You truly lack in social etiquette." She stated, crossing one leg over the other and leaning back, directing her eyes out the window once again. Violet wondered if she'd made Marick angry, she rather hoped she had, seeing a man like him become frustrated would make her day.

Malick wasn't offended, it seemed as if he didn't hear her. Malick just nodded, and stood up, grabbing his drink, "She has nothing." Malick told Andy, then signaled he was going outside for a smoke. Andy nodded, and took Malick's empty seat. "So, uh- this might sound really strange, but are you busy tonight?" He was asking her to dinner, "I mean, we both need food, so why not come or a free meal?" He asked her.
Aaron watched Malick walked outside, then returned his gaze to Andy and Violet, he was reading Andy's lips, 'He's asking her to dinner? How...annoying. There's no way she would agree to him.' Aaron thought, sure Andy was an attractive man, but he had shit luck with woman, Aaron would know, they do have a relationship, sort of. Aaron looked through the glass at Malick, smoking a cigarette, 'Hmm, if she says yes, she would definitely provide use for my game.' He smiled at the thought, he was always one step ahead, so even if she refused, he had other plans. Aaron turned his attention back to the blonde bimbo, he gave her a fake smile, "Hey, why don't we meet up tonight, say, 8-ish, and Joe's Bar?" He asked, the woman eagerly nodded. Aaron nodded, and mumbled a 'good, see you later,' and stood up, walking outside.
Aaron walked next to Malick, who didn't notice him at first, "Hey, you're the guy that rudely ran into me at that crime scene." Aaron stated. Malick looked at him, then shrugged, "Yeah, well we can't all be filled up with courtesy." He retorted. Aaron lightly smirked, "True." They both stood there in an awkward silence, the only noise being the thunder, signaling an approaching storm. "So, lived here long?" Malick asked, unsure of how to start a good conversation. "Yes, actually, a very long time. In fact, I was ending my last year in college when the murders picked up." Aaron informed the detective. Malick looked at him with questioning eyes, "Really, is there anything useful I should know?" Malick asked, throwing his cigarette on the ground, and stomping on it. Aaron watched Malick with content, he wanted Malick, he wanted to play with his mind, break him. "Yes, I might have some useful information." He replied.

Violet watched Marick leave, feeling just vaguely disappointed that he hadn't even bothered to glare at her or seem upset. She shrugged and watched Andy resume the other man's previous spot. Her head tilted as he asked her out for dinner and she thought it over, her blank eyes watching him. She didn't want to hurt his feelings, but she also didn't trust anyone, and to her this man would probably just end up trying to have sex with her, and then leaving her later on because he couldn't handle how unfeeling she was. "I apologize, Andy, but i'm not your type." Violet told him quietly, the look in her eyes becoming softer and actually showing some sympathy and guilt, she felt bad. "You are attracted to me because of my looks, after you get to know me you wouldn't enjoy being around me. You'd hate me soon enough." She explained honestly, looking him over and sighing. "Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying this as some idiotic excuse not to have dinner with you, I just don't want to waste your time, you're a very handsome man, you don't need to have to bother with me." The woman stood up, finishing her tea and gave Andy the barest hint of a smile. "You need a girl with a good sense of humor, you'd be happier that way." She touched the top of his hand and then straightened herself out. "It was a pleasure, Andy, i've got to leave now though, I want to try to make it home before the storm gets here." Violet told him before leaving the cafe.
As she got outside she blinked and frowned. Well, that was a very long way to tell him no... Violet thought to herself, humming and walking over to where her dog was tied up. She knelt down next to him, giving him a kiss on the top of his furry head and smiling genuinely. Perhaps Andy would take her advice and find himself a pretty girl that was easy-going and kind, she could see him with that sort of woman, it would help him to relax when his job got rough. "Alright, baby, time to get home." She murmured to her dog lovingly, standing up, the dogs leash wrapped around her fist carefully as she got ready to walk.

Andy sighed, and leaned back in his chair, gulping down the rest of his drink. He threw the cup away and left the cafe. He noticed Malick talking to another male, 'I've seen him before.' Andy remembered seeing this face multiple times, he shook his thoughts away, not connecting his thoughts. "Meet me here Saturday night." Aaron said, and looked at Andy. Malick noticed how rejected Andy looked, "What's wrong?" Malick asked, no really caring. Andy repeated the situation with Violet, and what she told him. Malick was honestly confused, "Who?" He had already forgotten her. Andy narrowed his eyes, "The woman we questioned." He snapped, "Anyways she said I need a girl with a good sense of humor, I'd be happier that way." He repeated. Malick just shrugged, "Plenty of other fish in the sea." He said, trying, and failing to comfort Andy 'Then again, who would want to date a fish?' Malick thought, wondering who came up with such a ridiculous phrase. Suddenly both of their phones went off, "Hello." They answered in unison, the person on the other line was frantic, "Another body!" Andy shouted, repeating the address. "Shit." He cursed, slamming his phone shut, and grabbing Malick.
Aaron couldn't help but smirk, that woman, along with many others always told him he could find someone better, how unoriginal these women were. They always had to explain why they didn't want to go out with him, just say no. When their phones went off and the information of another body found, Aaron had to bite his tongue. How funny the situation was, here they were, the unknowing detectives making simple conversation with their killer. Aaron wanted to laugh, but refrained. He decided it was time to leave, he shoved his hands into his pockets and left, smirking in excitement.
A crowd had formed outside of a church in the same area Violet lived, local cops were trying to maintain the crowd, they were snapping pictures, and hoping to get a glimpse of the body. With the thunder growing louder it gave the church an even creepier air. It took the two men twenty minutes to get their, they pushed through the crowd, inside a cop was question a nun, she was frightened. "Y-yeah, I came in to pray, and when I went into the back room, t-there he w-w-was, so gross. W-whoever did this will s-s-suffer the wrath of God." She said. 'That is if he even believes in such a thing.' Malick thought, going to the back. The scene wasn't one either men predicted, they both glanced at each other, partially confused.

Violet got to the crowd and frowned, surprised that yet another murder had occured, especially so close to her home. She huffed and stopped walking, deciding to take a look even though the storm was approaching. Her dog started sniffing aorund again, probably smelling the corpse and the blood. The woman knelt down and gently pet her dogs head, relaxing him as all of the people swarmed around. Such vultures. She thought to herself boredly, slowly standing up straight, her free hand setting itself on her hip.
Her eyes moved over the tops of peoples heads for a moment before she looked away, pondering if she should just head home instead of standing there, watching all of this occur. She found this interesting, but she was not one for crowds, or people in general. Violet gently combed her hand back through her long, straight hair, standing there, listening to all of the loud-mouthed gossipers.

The corpse was a priest, he was missing his hands, and a small silver cross had been shoved in his mouth. Malick looked at the face, "These aren't his eyes, probably the previous victim's. His hands must have been inside her stomach." Malick spoke into his recorder. His looked back at Andy, but Andy wasn't there. Malick looked to a woman, "Do you know the time of death?" He asked, the short, tired woman, who sighed, "Well, not exactly, he has been here for a long time, but the exact time is uncertain. No one has come back here in...well months, which makes me wonder why that woman came back here." She stated, watching Malick. "This place is old, it's probably unused, or maybe it needed remodeling. We'll question the nun." He said, glancing at the body, there was a deep cut, where his heart had been removed. "Have we located his heart?" Malick asked the woman, who looked up over her clipboard, "Yeah, it was in the hands of Jesus." She stated, "Out there." She pointed with her pencil. Malick nodded, "Okay, make sure to get his dental records, and the eyes." He told her, she nodded.
Malick walked up to the nun, she had finally calmed down, "So, you mentioned that you went back there, but his body had been there for weeks, and the room is virtually empty, so why go back there now?" He asked, "And, why is it so empty? Was this place being renovated?" He questioned. The nun took a deep breath, "This church was usually empty, people have lost faith in our God, but yes, it is being renovated. I came here for some peace and quiet, to pray, then I saw that door, and was curious." She stated. Malick just nodded, he had a hard time understanding religion, he would've believed his was cursing himself by being in a church, except he only believed in facts.
The nun looked at Malick with watery eyes, "Why a priest?" She asked. Malick bite his cheek, "If it is our killer, which it most likely is, it was pre-meditated. It's possible he knew the uh-priest had a dirty secret. The other victims still had their hands. By removing the hands he could be saying that this man was engaged in some kind of sexual activity, possibly with the altar boys, you hear about that all the time." Malick explained to the nun, who refused to believe, "And the heart in the hands of Jesus, and the cross in his mouth, who knows, maybe he felt that only God, or whatever Catholics believe can save him. Now, the previous woman's eyes replacing his, that's interesting, as is the fact that he killed a male this time, all his others were women. It's possible he knew the woman, but we can't be sure." Malick rambled, finally looking at the nun, "Now, tell me, what is it that Catholics believe exactly?" He asked, the nun just stared at him.
Andy needed a breath, he noticed Violet, and walked up to her, "Hey, two times in one day." He said, trying to smile, "You don't have to worry, I'm going going to ask you our or anything, I just need someone to talk to." He said, knowing he wasn't supposed to give details to her, but he didn't care, "It's weird, his previous victims were all women, but this was a male, a priest at that. I don't get it. There is always the possibility of a copycat, but this man's hands are missing, and the pair we found in the woman before are probably his. Plus, her eyes, or at least I think they are her eyes, replaced his." Andy explained, finally looked at Violet, "Malick is probably thinking the same thing." Andy smiled lightly, ignoring the roaring thunder.

Violet watched Andy approach, not at all surprised to see him there. She listened to him and then nodded, looking away. "You ever play Snakes and Ladders, Detective?"She asked quietly, looking over at him. "You know how... Whenever you play that game you get to the point where you're almost at the finish and then all the sudden a snake just... pops out and sends you all the way back to the beginning, confused, frustrated, nervous...?" Violet paused, one of her hands slipping into her coats pocket. "Seems like there's a snake and its decided it'd like to screw you around a little and send you all the way back to the beginning." She finished, giving him a small smile. That was just her guess though, from what she could tell, the murderer had decided to take this odd course just to fuck around with the authorities. "Don't stress yourself out over it, the more you stress the harder it will be for you to solve anything, and you must agree that it'd be a fantastic idea to solve this." Violet commented bluntly but not rudely whatsoever, she was just being honest.
