One of the men snorted behind her, edging forward, his elbow resting on his knee. He had dark red hair and a scar running from his temple, crossing over his eye and down to his chin.
"Little girl, you are presently in a bus filled with Enforcers." He cocked a brow. "At least tell me you know what that is."

Arin resisted smirking, "No, but I'll pretend I know, how does that sound?" She asked him, staring at the man's scar. She sighed, "So, are Enforcers like the police in the nonhuman world?" She asked, leaning back in her seat.
"I had a friend once get taken to jail, but it was a human jail and well got got out." She stated, she was bored and felt like making conversation, "Is being a prisoner anything like a human prisoner, do i get one phone call?" She asked curiously, making a small movement of her head, throwing her bangs to the side.

The man stared at her in shock, as did everyone else in the bus.
"You really don't know who the Regis or Enforcers are?" Rayae asked in stunned disbelief.
"Have you been living under a fucking rock?!" The man with the scar asked sharply and Rayae shot him a glare.
"Back to your seat, Kalas."
The man rolled his eyes before sitting again and Rayae turned back to Arin.
"Val is a Regis. Think president of the nonhuman race. He is in charge of everything nonhuman. From crimes, to poverty, to...well everything. He works with the human government; though not a lot of humans know about us, only a select few and those that stumble across it by mistake. The Enforcers are a task force that are yes, much like the police of the human world."
"Though were much more bad ass." Kalas said with a grunt, earning a few good hearted cheers and even Raeyae couldn't help but grin.
"And unfortunately I don't know about what you may be able to do, seeing as I don't know what the crime was you committed."

Arin chewed the inside of her cheek and sighed, "Yeah, bad ass all right." She mumbled, rolling her eyes at the cheers. She didn't understand these people,
'How annoying.' She thought bitterly.
Arin looked at the floor as she talked, "All I did was steal some stupid Book of the Dead." She stated, shrugging as if it were nothing. Arin looked up at Raeyae, "That's not too bad of a crime...right?" She asked.

Raeyae frowned. "I have no idea what that is but I guess it was something important to Val." She frowned then. "Where did you steal it from?"

Arin shrugged, "His home." She stated, "So...how long until we get to wherever it is we are going?" She asked, her buttom going numb.

There was a collective gasp in the bus, and Kalas edged forward with wide eyes. "You broke into the Regis's house? Are you fucking insane?"
"Kalas!" Raeyae bit out and the man sat back down. She turned to Arin. "You broke into his house? Are you fucking insane?!" She mimicked the man.

Arin held up her hands defensively, "Not insane! I've broken into many people's houses, he was no different." She paused, "Well, getting in was difficult but I had some help, it doesn't really matter though, I told him where his precious book was." She rolled her eyes, "I only needed the money and he had the biggest house." She glanced between Kalas and Raeyae, honestly not understanding them.
"Why, is breaking into the Regis's house going to make my sentence worse or something?" She asked, then smirked, having a smart idea, "You know, I can be pretty useful, instead of being a prisoner he could just use me to steal something, call it even after that?" She thought it was a good idea.

"It's like breaking into the freaking white house!" Raeyae cried. "Of course it's different." She shook her head with a low whistle. "I feel sorry for you. Guess you can blame it on the ignorance of your own world. Next time I'd read the news papers." She cocked her head to the side. "You are aware that there is a special news paper for nonhumans only, right?"
Kalas snorted behind her. "Do you even have to ask." He leaned forward towards Erin. "And if I were you I wouldn't mention the using you for stealing thing. That would be like...well, like telling the president you'd be his personal terrorist."

She sighed, 'Great...'
Arin sunk into the seat, trying to make herself as small as possible. She stayed silent, just thinking, as least Kree wasn't caught, if he was his punishment would probably be far worse, he was after all a killer and a thief.
Arin asked another question, "So, what happens if a killer is caught, what does he do with killers?" She asked, she thought it would be good to know, just in case she ever got to talk to Kree, she could warn him. He was just as ignorant as her when it came to the nonhuman system.

The van grew silent, everyone's gazes turning away. Only Raeyae kept her eyes on Arin.
"That's something that we can't answer. You'll just have to wait until the Regis passes your judgement."

Arin sighed again, "Fine." She really didn't want to face this Regis guy, she was afraid that she'd be torn to shreds. Arin stayed completely silent for the rest of the ride, she was nervous and a little excited about the upcoming events.

They arrived at the lawfirm a few minutes later, and had just entered the building when Val came in as well.
The Enforcers as one all turned to him and dropped to they're knees.
Val ignored them and glared at Arin. He approached slowly, grasping her forearm tight before pulling her away.
"You've all done good. Where is the vampire?"
"The vampire is right here." Came a bored reply and Val turned to see the familiar man staring at him with a lazy expression on his face.
"Did he put up a fight?" Val asked and Raeyae shook her head. "Good. Take him to the briefing room, I'll be there shortly."
The man rolled his eyes as they escorted him away but Raeyae held her ground. "What of the woman, Regis?"
Val's face turned into a glare. "I'll take her."
Raeyae cast a look at Arin before nodding and backing away before leaving his sight.
Val's grip on Arin's arm tightened as he began to pull her through the room towards the elevator.

Arin felt like she could barely walk as he pulled her, she winced, "Why are you squeezing so damn tight?" She asked angrily, "I told you were your book was." She stated, trying to yank her arm from his grip.
"I can walk you know, I don't need to be dragged around like some rag doll." She snapped out, groaning in irritation at this man.
She didn't think her crime was that bad, but apparently sneaking into this Regis's home wasn't the smartest thing to do. Arin blew her hair out of her face, she didn't need another thing irritating her.

Val pulled her into the elevator and waited until the door had shut before turning on her in one swift twist and grabbing her arms, lifting her against the elevator wall until her feet were dangling in the air.
He bared his teeth in anger, bringing his face mere inches from her's. "Who did you have take it?" He asked softly, his eyes changing from they're normal dark green to a fiery red.
This close to her he couldn't help but take a big inhale of her scent. And god damn why did she have to have broken into his home? He was sure if it had been any other time she would be shoved up against the elevator wall but instead he would have been buried deep inside her.
Disgusted at himself for being unable to control his libido he sneered.
