From his spot by the window, Dennis listened to everything Anthony said. His eyes softened just slightly; he wouldn't admit it to the bad boy himself, but he was relieved and sort of happy Anthony wasn't going to leave him to fend for himself. Dennis didn't know if he could handle whatever the hell was going to change in his life from this new thing about him, without losing his mind or doing something stupid. His brows pulled together just slightly, "Powers?"

Anthony nodded, folding his hands behind his head and closing his eyes. "Powers. You are a Feline Kindred, therefore you will gain the attributes of Felines. The eyesight, ability to see in the dark. The stealth and speed, and power as well. But as I said, I'm not sure when they will appear, and they won't necessarily all appear at once, but rather each at different times, as mine did."

Dennis blinked, staring at Anthony for a minute before smiling. "That sounds awesome. At least something good will come out of this." He paused, glancing round before sighing. "We have school tomorrow, so if you want to stay the night here you can. I'm exhausted." The whole transformation and stress of it all had really taken it out of him.

Anthony mumbled gibberish at that, his voice already soft and his body already half asleep. Licking his lip they remained slightly parted, a few seconds later a soft snore slipping past his lips, his chest rising and falling in deep inhales and exhales. He was fast asleep.

Dennis stared at Anthony for a minute before walking over and wrapping his arms around the kid's torso, not wanting him to sleep in the chair all night. He hoisted him to his feet before trying to gently dump him on one side of Dennis' bed. Once he got him on the bed, Dennis covered him up before walking over to the other side and climbing in. "I guess good night then." He grunted, rolling over and facing away from him before falling asleep.

Late in the night, and very early in the morning, a soft, white light filled the room, casting long shadows upon the walls before receeding. Laying on the bed was no longer two men, but instead a boy and a large white wolf, it's length so great if it would have stretched out fully, it woud have been almost the length of the entire bed. Releasing a rumbling sigh the wolf shifted slighty in its sleep before growing still once again.

Dennis woke up in the morning with a heavy weight on his chest. His breathing was short and hard as he woke up, and for a minute he panicked upon finding the head of a large white wolf on his chest. "Uhnf!" Dennis grunted, "Anthony! I can't breathe, you heavy oaf!" He tried to squirm out from beneath the heavy body of the wolf, but his human strength wasn't enough for the sheer weight of the wolf.

Jolting awake Anthony blinked sleepy eyes, opening his mouth and releasing a growling yawn. The 'growling' part didn't register to him yet. Gazing lazily around the room he blinked in confusion a moment, wondering why the world seemed so....vibrabt and bold. then glancing down anthony released a surprised yelp when he found himself laying on dennis, who had grown a bit blue. stumbling backwards he finally saw the large white pawns where his hands should be, and relealized that he was in his wolf form. confused, and more than a little frantic, anthony hurriedly shifted back to his human form, jumping from the bed and patting his chest to make sure he was a man again. "holy fuck!! what the hell!!"

Dennis sat up, gasping for air. "You need to work out and lose weight!" He half-teased, a hand on his chest. His face was red from lack of oxygen, but he was alright. "Why did you shift? And why the hell were you on top of me?" He slid off the bed, his sweat pants hanging on his hips. He bent slightly, catching his breath. "It felt like a damn cinder block on my wind pipe." He ruffled his hair - messy and sticking in random directions from sleep.

"I...I don't know.." Anthoiny said, shaking his head in confusion, his hand still on his chest. "I've been having some problems with transforming lately but nothing like this--" His eyes were downcast, looking at the bed, but not REALLY looking as much as zoned out in though. Then his eyes slowly focused again, and his brows drew together. "Hey - How'd I get on your bed?"

Dennis stared at him for a minute, his face tinting with a light pink color just slightly. "Uh...you fell asleep in the chair...and I was thinking that'd be uncomfortable. So I moved you." He said, the last part coming out in a rush. He cleared his throat, glancing at the bed before quickly walking over to his wardrobe and grabbing an outfit out of a couple drawers. "If you need to borrow clothes, you can. Or I don't know. I'm going to take a shower. You can take one after me if you want. You know...yeah." Dennis paused at his door, turned back, and held up a single finger. "Just don't go downstairs. My mom will be up and down there probably by now." He turned, leaving the room.

Anthony arched a brow, staring after Dennis as he left the room. Why the hell had he been blushing? Shaking his head in confusion he turned to the window of the room, and after a moment moved to it. Pushing it open he leaned out, looking down. Eh. Only second floor. Not too bad. Gripping the seal he climbed up, and after a slight moment leaped down. The wind beat against him a slight moment, before his feet hit the ground and he landed in a smooth crouch. His light surrounded him immedietly, and Anthony dug his four paws into the dirt and shot forward to the woods.
As he ran he though about everything that had happened over the last few hours. Lowering his head he strained his powerful muscles and ran faster, closing his blue eyes a moment to feel the wind in his fur. So, he was no longer alone. Honestly, the realization bothered him more than brung him joy. A few years had passed since he had left his pack, and the Kindred world behind, but it was not something that could be so easily forgotten -- Or forgiven.
Honestly. He didn't want to forgive. He wanted to hold onto his grudge. It was what kept him going many days and nights. Without it, what would he have?
He would really be empty.
Shaking his head from the thoughts Anthony stopped thinking of the past. The present held far more to be addressed. What did this make Dennis and him? He wasn't quite sure. They sure as hell weren't a pack, though. Hell, they weren't even friends. For now they were simly stuck with each other. Growling in frustration Anthony silently cursed whoever the hell Dennis' father was. For the man to actually abandon his kid, who had no idea what he was. More than that, actually. For the man to actually abandon his family. It was disgusting. Anthony had no respect for that type of man. Kindred or human.
Arriving at his house about twenty minutes later, Anthony padded up to his run down porch and entered through the doggy door. Yeah. He got the irony in that.
Smelling slowly decaying floorboards he drug his paws over the old caret covering his living room and with a grunt, hopped up onto his musty smelling couch. Remaining in wolf form he lowered his head to his paws and released a sigh. A fly landed on his white ear, which twitched from the contact before Anthony's eyes slowly shut. He didn't bother changing back into his human form. There was no heat in his house and in skin he'd be shivering his ass off. With the thick fur of the wolf he didn't feel the slightest chill. His jaws opening in a sharp toothed yawn, Anthony fell asleep there on his couch.
*******
"Son of a bitch!" Muttering to himself Anthony glanced down at his watch for about the tenth time since beginning his walk to school. He had slept until noon because he had forgotten to set his damn alarm clock. Pushing through the lunch crowd Anthony scanned the area, looking for an emo boy with black and white hair. When he didn't see him Anthony swore again. Great. He had slept through all the classes they had together. And now he was nowhere to be seen.
Running a hand through his hair in aggravation Anthony glanced up as the bell rang, and after a moment just made his way to his next class.
He'd find the kid eventually.

Dennis had only been slightly worried when Anthony disappeared from his room and when he didn't show up in any of the classes they had together. Though, the worry settled uneasily in his stomach. It was at the end of the school day when he started looking for Anthony, his face scrunched up in concentration. It took him a few minutes to realize that Anthony might have not come to school, and would be waiting in the woods outside of his house - or maybe Anthony had decided not to bother with Dennis. With a groan of frustration, Dennis started walking home. He didn't get far.
"Hey, faggot!" The loud voice belonged to his usual tormentor - Derek, the star football player. Dennis tensed up, turning slightly and spotting the football jock with a couple of his friends, walking up behind him at a fast rate. What he could have possibly done to be stalked like this, he didn't know. But panic seized his gut, and he took off in a dead run. He knew he wouldn't make it home - he could hear the pounding of feet behind him. Suddenly, he was slammed from behind and went face-forward into the front yard of a house he'd been passing by. "Fuck you!" He shouted, turning over and kicking his foot out as an instinctual reaction. Derek grabbed his foot and jerked him forward, his buddies yelling their support. Dennis struggled, throwing punches that didn't connect or were too weak - and then Dennis had him by the collar of his shirt, stretching out the material. "This is my favorite shirt, asshole!" Dennis snarled, his temper getting the best of him. "Shut up, fairy boy." Derek hissed in his face, "Maybe you should think twice before getting dressed in the morning!" What an idiot, I'm getting attacked for the way I dress? Was all Dennis had time to think before Derek reeled back and came back at him, punching him in the face. Dennis' entire body jerked, and he would have went down if Derek didn't have such a tight grip on the front of his shirt. He could taste blood immediately, and his temper boiled. The tingling started immediately, and Dennis could only hope this would be over before his Kindred side broke free. Another punch, and Dennis saw stars. But Dennis was stubborn, so when he looked back at Derek, he filled his mouth with blood and spat it right in his face. "You punch like a girl." Dennis hissed, his entire face feeling like one throbbing spot of pain. Derek sneered, "At least I'm not actually a girl." He replied, reeling back for another punch. Dennis closed his eyes tightly, his limbs feeling like they were on fire.

Slinging his backpack over one shoulder with a sigh Anthony stepped out of the school building and walked down the steps wearily. One of his damned teacher had made him stay after a few minutes to 'talk'. Which meant, in other words, to bitch at him. And damn had the woman ever bitched. Pausing on the sidewalk Anthony turned to look at the building. Mostly everyone had already left, which meant Dennis most likely had as well. Releasing a sigh Anthony turned away and started towards the street. He'd like nothing more than to head for the canopy of the woods and change into his wolf form, but he had homework he needed to complete, so had to take his damned bookbag with him. Unscrewing the cap of his waterbottle Anthony swigged the rest of the cold crisp liquid before tossing it in a trashcan. He was just about to head to his left when a sudden scent hit him.
Pausing in his tracks Anthony tilted his head back slightly, scenting the air.
Dennis. He recgonized his scent. But there was something else mixed in with it. Something thick and...wrong. Feeling uneasy, Anthony turned, walking fast in the opposite direction. The closer e got to the scent though, the faster he moved.
And then when he heard raised voices, and turned a corner to see some jock slam his fist into Dennis' face, suddenly his world went white hot.
A sense of fury he had never felt before shot through him in a hot intensity. Sucking in deep gulps of air, his nostrils flared, Anthony dropped his backpack before hurriedly walking forward, before long in a full out run.
Releasing a battle cry he pushed through the other guys and grabbed the jock by the back of his jacket, jerking him around and slamming his fist into his face with a growl. The jock fell hard on his side, his face and shoulder hitting the pavement.
His packmate?! They dared attack his packmate!? Baring his teeth in a sneer Anthony swung around to face the other jocks, grabbing the first by his collar and pulling him forward to land a right hook to his eye. The last one standing had began to advance on him, intending to fight, and Anthony dodged his fist easy enough, twisting around him and grabbing his arm, pulling it high behind his back until the boy released a high pitched cry of pain. Athony didn't stop tugging until he heard the satisfying pop of his shoulder being dislocated. Finally releasing the boy he watched him stumble forward, his arm limp at his side. "Get the fuck out of here before I make it any worse! And if you ever touch him again it will be!"
The jocks struggled to their feet, one, the one that had been hitting Dennis, glaring at him before hurrying away.

Dennis fell on the ground immediately when Derek released him, and he watched Anthony fight all three of them, his eyes wide. He swallowed, looking up at him once they'd gone. With a grunt, Dennis stood up and wiped at his chin. His hand came away with blood on it from a split lip, and his mouth was laced with the metallic taste. "Anthony?" He said hesitantly, feeling a black eye coming on. Part of him was embarrassed that he'd had Anthony fight his battle, but part of him was ecstatic to see him. "Thanks." He said after a minute, gingerly touching his eye. It felt hot, but at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The tingling died down, his Kindred side eerily calm in the presence of Anthony.
