River sat down at the waterside, deeping his feet in the water and grinning happily at it. He had taken his biege colored sandes off already and was happy to see people playing around in the water.

Karin grumbled and whined as her friends dragged her to the waterside. They ended up abandoning her and swimming off with some guys. "'Lets go swimming!' Brit says. 'It's fun!' she says again. 'C'mon, Karin! We can teach you! We'll start with floaties! You seemed to like the floaties last time!' Em says. Well, screw them! Books are better anyways. Don't drag you to places that have deep water that I can't swim in." she muttered as she passed by some guy that had his feet in the water. "And they didn't even let me bring my book..."

The god looked over at the girl who was muttering things to herself and raised an eyebrow, smiling. Not a swimmer, to bad. Her legs and arms look strong. He thought to himself and watched her from the corner of his vision. River leaned back, propping his elbows into the sand and looking up at the sun, his shades tinted blue making everything look weird.

Karin kicked some sand and sat down. She continued to mutter to herself random thoughts and eventually came to this conclusion. "...If I didn't have a brother, I would know how to swim, and I would be...er...semi-normal! That's it! As soon as I find my brother, wherever he is, I will tell him that! Yeah...." she declared a little too loudly, startling some children that were passing by.

"Are you alright, lady?" He asked out loud, eyes widening after saying it. He hadn't actually meant to ask it but she kind of sounded really crazy to him and was starting to scare the little kids. Looking away, River tried to make out like he hadn't said anything at all, staring up at the sky.

Karin looked around, trying to figure out who said that. She sighed and assumed it was the guy with his feet in the water. "I'm just cursing my friends. Sorry for freaking you out. It's their fault for not bringing a book for me to read and keep me from scaring people and stuff." she explained with a half smile. Baka! You said that too loudly! Now they think you're crazy.

River chuckled "Can't swim i'm guessing. no worries though, lot's of people can't." He yawned and stood up, pulling off his t-shirt and walking into the water and then diving under. Luckily remembering to take off the sunglasses before starting to swim around in the water.

"Oh yes. That makes me feel much better. Thank you so much for your comforting words." she muttered after he'd dived in. Karin fell back in the sand and stared at the sky. She sighed and thought about making a sand castle.

He came up once again a few seconds later and then left the water, going to sit by the woman. "I'm River. Sorry for saying that earliar, it slips out. I'm kinda rude in a way." River apologized and greeted, waving his hand in a happy way.

Karin sat up and smiled at him. "It's okay. Everyone does that once in a while. I'm Karin." she introduced. She watched the water lap against the sand and frowned. The motion reminded her of things she'd rather not be reminded of. "So...I'm guessing you like water then." she said and looked at River.

"Yeah, I love water. It's actually my life really, wouldn't be here without it." River answered, soaking up the suns warm rays happily and laying his back to the sand. "Why'd you come here? To relax and soak up the heat or something?"

"Nope. I was dragged her by....one second....see the girl in the pink bacinni (sp?) and the girl in the dark purple one piece suit? Well, they dragged me here to try and get me in the water. I said no, they offered me floaties, I said no again, then they saw two 'hot' guys and ditched me without so much as a book to read..." she ranted then blushed. "Sorry. I tend to rant about my problems to random people. So the water is your life? Are you a fisherman or something?" Karin asked and looked at River.

He gave alight, deep laugh and looked at the girl in the one piece and the girl in the bikini that she was pointing at. "I see, and I uderstand. It would be like someone trying to get me to go rock climbing, or anything to do with heights actually." River thought about how she thought he was a fisherman "No, i'm a Water God."

"I'm a Water God. You know how theres demons, angels, faeries, nymphs and other creatures around that live in the city? Well, i'm a god." River explained in a shocked mannerism; She didn't know about this at all? How spectacularly weird to meet someone that didn't have a clue about this.
