"Alright, alright. Close your eyes and take in slow, deep breaths of air. Think about your favorite books." He cooed and stopped letting her float, his fingers and a bit of his palms holding her up in the water.

Karin nodded and did so. Jurassic Park....The Tale of the Body Theif....A tale of two cities....The two towers....Vampire Game.... she listed in her head, taking deep breathes with her eyes closed.

River let her go and made it seem like his hand were holding her body up still, but so far she was floating in the water by herself. "Do you feel relaxed now?"

"S-sort of..." she replied. "Can I open my eyes yet?" Karin asked, still taking deep breathes.

"No... just let yourself relax, be calm. Listen to the sounds around you. The wind, waves, birds, me." River declined with another suggestion and made the water a bit warmer once again.

Karin nodded. "Okay." she said and felt the water get warmer. Slowly, she felt herself relax. After a long time, she whispered, "It's peaceful." I bet this is what that one book meant by yelling breaks the fragile peaceful silence... she thought and smiled a small, soft smile.

River gave a small hum as a reply and moved down into the water, sitting in it and watching her float. He smiled at her progress and closed his eyes too, listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.

Karin breathed in and out softly, enjoying the peace. She hummed a small tune for a while, then stopped. "When can I open my eyes?" she asked quietly.

Karin stopped breathing for a second. She opened her eyes and saw River was not holding her up. She almost paniced, but remembered that River said he'd make sure she wouldn't drown. She quickly calmed herself down and shut her eyes again. You were floating! Floating! Without floaties! E<3

He smiled and sat back down again, watching her and yawning, soon he began to float alond beside her, staring at the sky. "Open your eyes, the sun is setting." River explained and poked her shoulder, standing again and waiting for her to come to the beach with him.

Karin opened her eyes and looked at the sun. She grabbed hold of River's shoulder to shift positions. Soon she was standing up next to him. "Where are we going to watch it?" she asked.

"The beach, come." River answered and grabbed her hand, walking with her to the beach and sitting down on the sand, it was sticking to his body.

Karin sat next to him and flicked sand that was sticking to her body away. She smiled as sun set. It looked magnificent on the water. It made her smile widely. "Thank you, River."

He smiled. "Your welcome, Karin." River replied and watched the reflection play on the water with a slightly wider smile coming on to his face now.
