Jason didn't open the shop till 10 the next morning. He was scowling and grumpy from sleeping on a lumpy couch. And that damned plan isn't working. Go with little acknowledgment! he shouted at himself. Cherub was sleeping lazily upstairs behind a couch.

Arden was still asleep, she had got a slight cold from walking out in the rain that night. Getting up she red her wet eyes and sniffed slightly, having a shower and getting dressed she left the house, walking very slowly down the sidewalk. She sighed slightly as people walked past her, hitting her with their shoulders. Arden got to work late and came in, sneezing into a cleanex and then going to get on her apron.

Jason, unfortuneately, had trouble ignoring this. She's sick... he thought. Not many customers, and the ones they did get went to him instead of Arden. After a few hours of this, he gave up. "Arden. Go home." he told her, sighing.

"Hey! Just becauseyour my boss does not mean that you can tell me what to do! Well... It does, but no matter." Arden said and stood up straight, rubbing her eyes quickly, she hadn't sneezed to much at all but her noes was stuffy.

Jason shrugged. "No. But I can do this." he said and taped a sign on the front. ARDEN IS SICK. TELL HER TO GO HOME. He smirked slightly and told her that, as her boss, she could not remove the sign. "It's a new rule."

"F~uck!" She snapped, glared at him and went to go and take her apron off. "You will not win this my friend." Arden said pointedly, glaring at him even harder and then giving him a poke in his shoulder. She left, walking to her apartment once again.

He waited till she was gone to get rid of the sign, smiling. "Good. And she'll rest, I hope." he thought. Following her aura, he waited till he was sure she was home to manipulate her feelings and made her feel very sleepy and in need of rest.

She got changed before laying in bed, curling up and slowly relaxing. So fucking tired... Arden thought randomly and then closed her eyes, she sniffed and then fell into a relaxed and calm sleep.

Jason came by later, around 8, to see how she was doing. He knocked softly on the door and waited for an answer.

Sniffing she got up from the couch, having woke up a few hours before. Going to the door she opened it up and stared at Jason with a tired gaze. "Hello." She said and moved out of the way for him to come, her apartment was rather black and white to say, besides the art works and things she hung up.

Jason stayed out. "I was just checking..." he mumbled then slowly went inside, shutting the door behind him. "How are you feeling?" he asked her softly, checking her temperature.

"Tired but better, i'm not as stuffed up as I was this morning which is good." Arden said with a smile and took him to the living room, she still had the puzzle from before on her table. She had been doing random bits of it every now and then. "How was work today."

"Boring." he replied, standing and leaning against a wall. "And that's good that you are feeling a little better. I'm glad." he mumbled. Jason stared at the puzzle for a moment, then looked at the parts not done yet.

She blinked, smiled and then gave a small nod, leaning back into the couch lazily. "You've been a little different lately." Arden said slowly, smiling at him and cocking her head, up to the side a little, her eyes on him.

"Have I?" he asked blankly, dully. Jason shut his eyes in thought. Oh...so I am doing a good job?
