Background && Family: As a child Adela was shunned by everyone she knew, including her family, because of her horrible temper. Her parents kept her locked in their basement because she terrified them. One day, when Adela was five, she found her way out of the basement and was walking around her neighborhood when, all of a sudden, her neighbor's dog began barking and running toward her. Adela, who had never seen a dog before, was terrified. On impulse she imediatly grabbed a sharp branch off the ground and stabbed the dog in the head, killing it. Absolutly horrified at what Adela had done, her parents dragged her back to the basement and began screaming at her. Panicked and frightened, Adela took the bloody stick she had never let go of and attacked her parents. When the neighbors came over to see what all the yelling was about Mr. and Mrs. Smith were both dead and Adela was no where to be found. 14 years later Adela has somehow managed to make her way in life.
