((dah! i knew there was something, lol. forget she was looking at his eyes))
Taryn nodded. "It was nice to meet you too," she agreed as he left. She took a seat on the stage again, and waited for her friend to finally say it was very late and she had to go. Finally! she thought, getting up and practically skipping out she was so eager to go home.
Her friend went on and on about how Gage spoke to her, and how thrilled she was that he looked at her. Taryn nodded and said the proper one-lined responses that kept her friend from noticing her thoughts were elsewhere. Gage was nice, she thought silently.

On the outskirts of the city the wolf hid in the shadows. He was large and grey, his eyes a haunting blue.
He was a renegade, and he had been sent in search of someone.
Throwing back his head the wolf howled to the fat moon over head, trying to find word.

Taryn walked her friend home, then continued on her way to get to her own house. It was two blocks away from her friend's, so she wasn't too concerned about who was out late at night. The area was almost always well lit, and she had a tazor and pepper spray with her.
She whistled one of Dante's Downfall's songs as she strode down the sidewalk, hand stuffed into her pant pockets.

The wolf stood in the shadows, watching the woman as she walked down the street, whistling a tune into the wind.
He could smell him on her.
His fur standing on end the wolf began to follow the human girl.

Taryn reached her house. She glanced around, not wanting anyone to know where the house key was hidden, then took it out from under a mossy rock. She unlocked the door and headed inside after placing the key in its place.
Her dog, a German Shepherd, greeted her with a big kiss. "Max!" she whispered, smiling happily then taking a seat on the floor, playing with the dog. He was so excited, it made evening worthwhile. "Aw, Max, didn't Dad walk you?" she asked, then was answered by her dad who was still up.
"I didn't walk him, hon. He was too enthralled with a tug a war with your younger brothers."
"Oh, okay, I'll take him now then," she said and stood, grabbing the leash and the pooper scooper. "I'll be back soon!"
She left the house, her dog on a leash, and began walking around the block. The dog picked up on the wolf's presence, and he slowly calmed down and was put on edge.

The wolf watched the girl. Who the hell was she? Why did she have his scent?

Taryn was stopped by her dog at his favorite tree. She waited silently, whistling again, then once he finished she did the whole scooping action and headed home. The dog led her inside after she threw out the plastic bag, and she was safely in her home. She went upstairs to her room and showered and got in bed.
Taryn's bed was by the window, so she could look at the sky if she couldn't sleep.

((eww scooping poop. lol good thing about living in the country))
Her scent hung around Gage like a becon, and he clenched his fist in anger. GO TO HER! His instincts screamed, MAKE HER YOURS!
No! She was human, he wouldn't do that to her, he couldn't hurt her.
Letting out a growl of anger Gage jerked open the door to his abandoned mansion house and flew out into the darkness of the night.
Her scent was as clear as day to him, ironically, and he knew that he could find it instantly.

((i don't even have a scooper at my house. i have to put on plastic gloves. )) Taryn curled up beneath the window, leaving it open to let the fresh air in. She was glad it was the weekend. She was sleeping softly on her side, a pleasant smile over her lips.

Gage stood before her bed, staring down at her in silence.
She was evenmore lovely in sleep; like an angel.
He wanted to touch her, to feel her soft cheek and satin skin. She was meant to be his, it was destined. Yet she knew nothing of his peple, of his kind. Of him.
Reaching out he touched her soft neck, his fingers sliding down to her collar bone.

Taryn shifted as he touched her neck, as his fingers went down to her collar bone. Her arm moved up towards the window, trying to close it in her sleep. She'd felt similar feelings due to wind, so she had learned to close her window while asleep.

Gage watched her with a grin. If she knew, what would she say, would she run from him in fear, or embrace him?
Gage's head jerked up suddely and he scented the air. A WOLF was nearbye. And not just any wolf. Jerking to the window he loked down at the street. The scent was retreating, but Gage knew who it had been.
They had found him.

The dog was barking downstairs, causing her to roll over and grunt out a command that the dog didn't hear. Taryn rolled over, her back to the window now and settled down again. Her dog came upstairs, pushing the door open. He growled at the vampire upon smelling and seeing it, getting ready to attack it.

"Oh great, dog." Gage muttered before walking forward with narrowed eyes. "Alright, just calm down mutt, I know you got your whole territory thing going."

Max continued to growl at it, but the vampyr's hypnotic voice was beginning to do the trick. He eventually stopped his growling and went to Taryn, getting on the bed and curling up with her. He watched the vampyr though. Taryn drapped an arm around his furry body.
