"Sure." he said. "That would be perfect." he smiled at her warmly. He hoped she wouldn't over think his reasonings for what he says and does.

Relieved he had accepted her invitation, she smiled at him warmly before waving good-bye and heading back to her humble apartment in the city. The night day at midnight, Serenity returned to the hauntingly beautiful masion that appeared to her even more beautiful under moonlight and waited for him by the gate enterance.

He looked out of the window of one of the rooms in the second floor. He saw her, and wlaked out of the room. He locked it before walking down the hall, and donw the stairs. He wlaked out of the front door, and locked it as well. Putting the key in his coat pocket. He wlaked over to her. "Hello," he said. "How are you this evening?"

"Good, and you?" she asked, smiling at him warmly. Wondering to herself why he locked his door when he lived our in the middle of the forest where he NEVER had any visitors, she glanced over his shoulder, surveying the area.

"I am fine, thank you." he said still smiling. When he noticed she wad glancing behind him, he turned to see what she was looking at. He didn't feel any other presences then his and the girls. Except for a couple of animals and such.

"Why do you lock your door when you live out in the middle of nowhere?" she asked curiously. "Are you expecting some unwelcome visitors?"

He looked back at her. To him that was a strange question. "Just because I live in the middle of nowhere doesn't mean people don't try to break into my house." he said. Look at her. She broke into his house. If it was unlocked he didn't know how it got that way. He had an obbsession with lokkking, and keeping all the doors in his house shut.

"I guess the better question is what exactly do you have in that house that you're so afraid someone will find." she said, getting up and starting to walk along the forest trail.

"anything that a normal humna being would have." he said. He wasn't hiding anything. "Do you keep the door unlock for random people to come into your home?" he asked.

"No, I suppose not..." she said, reasessing her evaluation of him. Perhaps she had misjudged him. "So, what do you like to do for fun?" she asked, trying to lighten the conversation.

He shrugged. "Read, write, and other things." he said. "You?" he asked just to be polite.

"Well, I'm a counselor for abused children, so I like my job...I like healing them." she said, reminiscing. "I like writing poety and reading..." she continued, staring up at the moon. "It's so beautiful, don't you think." she said, pointing up at the nearly full moon. "It's so sad, that such a beautiful thing comes out only when most people are asleeo," she said, thinking of how he was very similar to the moon.

He froze for a second when she described her job. He really didn't like the sound of that, but he didn't say anything. He looked up at the moon when she started to talk about it. "Not really." he said. "It is beautiful and all, but I would much prefer the light." he did like the light...just sometimes his conditions didn't alllow him to be out in it. He did miss the sun a llot more then he ever thought he would.

"Why?" she asked curisously, wanting to understand the thinking of the strange man.

He shrugged. How could he explain this one. "I just...prefer the sun to the moon." he said. Didn't most humans like it that way anyway? He looked at her trying to figure out where she was getting to.
