Sighing to himself, Kreon slowly made his way down the long, narrow hallway and through the heavy double decker doors at it's end, dreading what awaited him on the other side. It wasn't that he found his Boss's company unpleasurable, more so the fact that he had no idea why he had been called down to his office. He hated suprises. He always had. Even when he was a child, he'd always dreaded the comming of his birthday, fearing the threat of a suprise birthday party. He was by nature calculating, which required planning. And planning's greatest enemy was surprise. Finally reaching the end of the hallway, he pushed open the doors, taking a seat in the office chair parallel to his boss's. "Hello, Mr.Stalve. What can I do for you today?" he said, extending his hand.
"Well...." Mr.Stalve said, spinning around in his chair. "It seems a new position in the company has become available, and you're the perfect candidate for the job. Consider it a promotion of sorts. You'll be assigned to travel through different dimensions, porviding me with an analysis report after thoroughly assessing each."
"Oh. Great." Kreon said, relief marring his voice. Looking at his boss expectantly, he waited to hear more about the business propostion.
Reading the look on kreon's face, Stalve continued. "There is a catch, however. You will have a partner to aid you in this task, although knowing you, you'd probably rather work alone. In fact, I called her down about the same time I did you. She should be here any minute now." he said, glancing at his watch.

Faye was walking down the hallway, her hands in her pockets and her eyes half lidded, she had been outside smoking a joint when she had been called, and someone had had to come outside and get her so she wouldn't get in trouble for being late or anyhting like that.
She stopped in front of the boss's door and straightened herself out, moving her long rainbow coloured bangs in front of her eyes and fixing up her piercings a little. A wide grin spread onto her lips, she gave a gentle tap on the door with her knuckles and then opened the door up and walked in, shutting it gently behind her. "Mornin' Mr. Stalve." Faye greeted in a smooth voice and glanced at Kreon, her eyes narrowed from behind her hair but her smile still stayed. "You wanted to speak with me?" She asked as she walked over to a seat that was a little ways away from kreon's and sat down in it, her back straight and her grin still there.
Ugh... Maybe i'm getting in trouble for something I said to Mr. I'm So Cool Because I'm a Vampire... Pfft, stupid vampire. The elf thought to herself, though the air about her person was completely relaxed and easy going.

His stomach churned when he saw Faye enter the room, realizing she was the person Mr.Stalve intended to sick him with as a partner. His previous encounters with her had been less than friendly, to put it nicely. Consequently, his opinion of the girl wasn't the best. Faye was exactly the type of person he was hoping not to have as a partner- as if she wasn't insane enough without factoring in all the dope she smoked. And that's not factoring in her loud, overbearing demeanour. He'd always suspected she was compensating for some deep-seeded insecurity, although he'd never cared enough to find out. In all earnesty, on slower days in the office when there was nothing better to do, he often fascinated about torturing the annoying female; first tying her up, sowing her mouth shut, and then leaving here in the middle of nowhere with only a cell phone where the only way to save herself would be to force her mouth open, deforming those annoying little lips of hers.

She was informed of what was going on and suddenly her grin widened and she looked over at Kreon, she let out a laugh and shook her head. "Be partners with him?" The elven woman asked and started laughing a little bit more. "Funny joke, sir." Faye said to Mr. Stalve, she thought he was just fooling around or something with her, she didn't really believe that her and Kreon would have to be partnered together. In all honesty she found Kreon to be a pompous asshole who couldn't find any faults with himself, when really all he had was faults.

Rolling his eyes, he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. Not even bothering to look at Faye, he said with a smirk on his face, "Don't flatter yourself. As if I find the thought of being partners with you any more appealing. In fact, you should being thanking Mr.Stalve for allowing you the privledge to work with me." he said, laughing.

"The privledge of working with you?! Ha! That's a good one too, Crayon. How about color me another one of your fine jokes." Faye replied sarcastically and smirked at Kreon, giving him a glare though her eyes were completely invisible because of her long bangs. "I'd rather be working with Marty from the mail room." She said and crossed her arms, looking away. Marty was not a fun guy to work with, he was a hypochondric and all he did was whine and bitch all day for the entire day non-stop and no one could stand to work with him at all, it was surprising that the man hadn't been fired for being annoying yet.

"Oh, good one Faye." he said, clapping his hands. "Where'd you pick that joke up, back in kindergarten with your coloring buddies?" he asked, his smirk growing. "And its not my fault if your not intelligent enough to deduce the fact that Marty is less of an asset to the group than I am. Hell, maybe you deserve to work with him, I mean you're both pretty level as far as the playing field goes." he said, laughing darkly. Tunring his attention back to Mr.Stalve, Kreon said in the most serious tone, "Mr.Stalve, perhaps you could reassign Faye to a position that more suited to her particular set of skills, such as Janitor." he proposed, stifling a laugh.

"Oh, a Janitor. Well, at least I would be working nights and I wouldn't have to see your face anymore." She replied, not fazed by his comment, she was grinning again, trying to not feel annoyed. "You know... I was actually speaking with Marty the other day, seems he might have a little crush on you their, buddy." Faye taunted him, there was also a rumour going around the workplace that Marty was incrediably gay. "Maybe you and him could get together behind the mail room bags and have a little one on one time, I bet you'd both enjoy that."

He laughed at her comment. He'd always been incredibly secure about his sexuality, causing him too be unfazed by comments like those. "While I'm back there, I'll ask him how much he'd charge for you to get a little one on one time with him. I'm not sure if he does charity, but it's worth a shot." he said, winking at her.
"No, no, no." Mr.Stalve said, obviously troubled by the words being exchanged by the two. "You two are the only ones with adequate experience for the job. No exceptions. I expect you two to be on your way to the first dimension tomorrow, leaving no later than 4 A.M. And the both of you are to travel together at all times, understood? Good, our business here is finished then." he said, not waiting for a reply from either of them. "THe both of you are dismissed."

Her mouth was open to throw another rude comment back at Kreon but then Mr. Stalve had started to speak. She frowned and listened to him, her arms crossing over her chest. "Yes, sir." Faye said and stood up once they were told they could leave. She walked out of the room quickly and into the hall, taking a deep breath and combing one of her hands back through her hair. "Ugh... This is completely idiotic." The woman commented aloud to herself and started to gracefully stride down the hall way, her grin was back already though, she was unable to keep it away from her face for very long, she loved to grin... Even if she was extremely angry.

Catching up to Faye quickly, he jogged up beside her, stepping in front of her. "Look. Lets reach an understanding here. I'm obviously going to be the brawn and the brains of this mission, so how about you just follow behind me and humor Mr. Stalve. Don't worry, I don't expect much out of you. Just try to stay out of the way, that way you won't hold me back too much." he said, totally serious. "Oh, and one last thing- try not to embarras yourself, it reflects on me as your partner." he said, stepping out of her way.

"So tell me what makes you think that you're so much smarter then I am?" She asked him, smiling lazily at him, her eyes still hidden. "I mean really, you don't seem at all smarter then I am, and you even acted as immature as I did in there with all of the rude comments and the argueing. I'd say that you are about as lacking in maturity and in intelligence as I am at the moment, so I wouldn't act so high and mighty when all i'm doing is putting myself into the same boat as another person. And by the way, i'm not admitting that i'm stupid, i'm just saying that if I were stupid you'd be acting as stupid as I was." Faye said calmly to him, her grin widening and her hands moving into her pockets, she really despised everyhting about this man.

Laughing, he threw his head back. "Well, it makes sense that I wouldn't seem any more intelligent than youself to you- your not intelligent enough to realize the obvious truth." he said, beginning to walk around her. "And me being smatter than you isn't a matter of opinion." he said, stopping in front of her and closing the distance between them so that only a few inches stood between their bodies. "Its a fact." he said, turning on his heels and walking off. "Oh, and don't be late." he yelled over his shoulder, dissapearing out the door.

The elf grounded her teeth together harshly but kept on grinning, she breathed heavily, she felt like running after him and breaking his nose, but she knew that if she did that to one of her colleagues right outside of the workplace she'd get fired. "'It's a fact' Stupid bastard... Pfft, thinks he's more intelligent then me does he, well then, when we go to our first stop tomorrow he can just do everything, I don't give a shit." Faye said to herself in a matter-of-fact tone of voice and strided down the hall and out the door, she had to get prepared for the trip that was coming up.

Smoking a cigarette, Ave jumped into his black lamburgene and sped back to his apartment, throwing only a few clothes and toiletries into his suitcase. Or course, he'd also have to bring his occupational tools with him, but they had a suitcaise of their own. Lighting up a second cigarette, he discarded his first into the ashtray by his nightstand, calling up one of his regular hoes for a quicky before he left tomorrow. Hopefully it'll help me be more tolerant of that stupid bitch he thought to himself, Faye's face popping up momentarily in his mind. Shivering, he pushed the thoughts away, knowing they would ruin the rest of the night for him if he let them ,
