Jak shook his head, confused by her odd behavior. She must've still been in shock or something. "Crystal, what the hell are you talking about? I think the water should wait, you really shouldn't move with how fucked up you are right now, and your gonna need to be able to sit up if your gonna drink any water. Who are they?" Jak asked, obviously refferring to her comment, 'they're inside me'. He propped her head up slightly with a pillow before soaking a cloth in antibacterial alcohol and lightly pressing it into her eye socket. He'd definitely done much worse than this to some of his victims, but with it being crystal...it was so much different for reasons that didn't make sense to someone like him.

A pillow...Her head was in...a pillow? She was about to answer him when the alcohol was pressed into her eyes, causing her to scream in pain and jerk slightly, whimpering. Something clicked in about his statement...Did he call her...Crystal? "Water...I need water...I won't...I need it to survive," she was crying about it. "Jak, please...I need water...I don't care if it hurts to get it, I need water..." She stared up at him, trying to understand something. "You called me Crystal..." she mumbled to no one in particular. She felt his hand working her eye socket and let out a funny noise of pain.

Jack worked quickly, cleaning her empty eye socket and then bandaging it up to stop any further bleeding. His face went limp as her words hit home. She was right.....he had called her Crystal. This whole Eilie thing had definitely not made whatever he was feeling for her any better. She needed water...right. "I'll be right back." Jack said, obviously using it both as an opportunity to get her water and an excuse to leave so he didn't have to respond to the whole 'calling her Crystal' thing. He stalled in the bathroom, running the water for a few minutes as he leaned over the sink before filling a glass with cool water and then returning to Crystal's side. Kneeling down, he held the glass to her lips as he used his other hand to prop her up, remembering that if she needed food she also needed water. God, this whole human thing was so god damn complicated. Picking up the phone, he was quick to order a pizza as he helped her to drink. Maybe he should take her to a hospital....a human one, where they could deal with whatever was wrong with her adequately. "Do you....need to go to the hospital?" he asked, unsure of how exactly to handle the situation he had created.

Crystal drank the water down in practically three gulps. She closed her eyes- eye- and turned her head, trying to sleep and get away. She looked up at him tiredly as he asked about the hospital. And...Had he'd ordered pizza? This had to be a dream, or some weird form of some afterlife that isn't written yet. She nodded. "Hospital...would help," she murmured and looked up at him.

Jack looked down at her for a minute, hesitating before picking her up and using his super speed to reach the hospital in a few seconds. It was better this way...these people would know how to treat her....and what to feed her. His only real worry was her ratting on him and revealing what had been done to her- no doubt hospital officials would ask, and have lots of questions- and its not like he'd done anything for her to deserve her loyalty. After all, it was completely his fault that she needed to go to the hospital in the first place. He was the one who'd called Eilie in, who hadn't fed her or given her water in the first place, and who'd kidnapped her from her family and stolen from her the life she'd known. Why wouldn't she tell them what had been done to her, if for no other reason than to have them protect her and stop him from kidnapping her again once she was healthy. A part of him though, a part that he hadn't been conscious of before, demanded that he do this for her. He knew he might never understand this, but there were many things in life that he didn't understand but still obliged. Walking into the hospital, Jack flagged down the nearest hosputal official and told him he had a woman he'd found in critical condition before handing Crystal to the nurse and fading into the shadows before the nurse could interrogate him further. He wouldn't go back to Drysilla's, no doubt she would wonder where he'd been all this time and quite frankly he didn't feel like answering her questions- and he wanted to stay close to Crystal, for reasons he justified to himself as normal. After all, she was his property- and vampires were extremely territorial when it came to their property. He was only following his natual, innate instincts, and what he was feeling had absolutely nothing to do with Crystal- it had to do with the fact that she was his property. Right?

Crystal opened her eyes long enough to see her environment change from stranger's home- the torture room- to a hospital. He...Jak had been serious? She stared up at him, trying to figure it out when it started to click. He...He was feeling...bad. "Jak..." she started to say when he handed her off to hospital officials, who rushed her into ICU. She stared after him through the doors until they shut.
Crystal was eventually, after a long long time of being in and out of reality, put into a hospital bedroom all to herself. "Where's Jak?" she asked the nurse, who looked confused as she hooked up an IV and shifted the bed so Crystal was sitting up. Crystal frowned and looked at the TV in the corner. The nurse left finally after saying something about food and police. Crystal touched the new bandage over her long-gone eye, shaking as she tried not to cry. She touched her ear, then the huge scar on her stomach, then the last one between her legs. She couldn't touch the hurt in her inner thigh. She wiped her eyes- eye- unable to stop herself from crying. She pulled a pillow from behind her back and hugged it, crying into it. She could hear the thoughts of passing patients and medical staff outside her door, all curious about how she'd gotten hurt and who would do that to someone so 'innocent and cute.' She couldn't block them out at this point.

Striding into the midnight vampire club alive and blaring with gothic screamo music, Jack pushed his way through the masses of vamps dancing and groping at their toys in the cages hanging from the ceiling. He needed to find another human, one with blonde hair and blue eyes, one that looked like Crystal. He was almost sure he'd succeeded in hiring a hitman to end what miserable life he'd left crystal with when he dropped her off at the hospital almost 5 months ago. He'd spent his time since them roaming dark alleys and stalking street corners, looking for innocent girls that looked like her and reliving what little time he'd had with her with the look-alikes. Unfortunately, none of them did it for him. They were too boring, or too fiesty, or to innocent, or not innocent enough.....but mostly, what bothered him was that they weren't Crystal. Jack despised the fact that he couldn't get over the pathetic, weak human girl- built up hatred and self-loathing made for night terrors for anyone that happened to cross his path after dark. He' d gotten more violent and detached, barely speaking to anyone- even his sister Drysilla- who was even worried about his worsenning state. His eyes had taken on a more blood-red shade, his fangs even more stained by the blood he'd spuilt trying to undoe what he'd done, his features hardened with the coldness and cruelty that had left him empty. Scanning the horizon for another girl that looked similar to Crystal, jack froze as his eyes locked onto a fragile, frightened shape locked behing the bars of one of the dance cages. Smiling, Jack bared his fangs as his body readied itself for the kill he was about to make. Pushing through the crowd, jack froze as the figure turned and the human girls face came into view. It was crystal- jack was sure of it. There was no mistakeing the eye patch- that was a product of his very own handiwork- which he was very proud of. He could feel a grin spread across his face as a strange feeling made its way through his sternum. Reaching the edge of the cage, Jack glanced up at Crystal, his usual cruel smirk on his face. "Look what the cat dragged in. I thought you were dead. Who could've guessed a frail little human girl would last so long on the streets with hired assassins after her. Congradulations, although you definitely don't appear to have come out of it unscathed. Is this a new hobby of yours?" he asked, motioning to the cage. "Funny- I would've never figured you for the type. But then again, I also didn't think you'd be the type to whore yourself out just for a warm place to sleep at night. Dirty, dirty girl. I don't recall giving you permission to do that, by the way." Jack scowled, shaking his head.

Crystal turned in her cage and came face to face with Jack. Jack, who had ruined her life. Jack who had caused her eye to be ripped off...And as she processed what he told her, she realized he was responsible for the loss of her pinky. She stared at him with a vacant expression, clutching the bars of the cage and waiting for him to finish what he was saying so she could be harrassed and eventually be let out of the cage...And then off herself. The last thing he said rubbed her wrong- he didn't give her permission. "Since when are you my master? You abandoned your pet to the vet." she murmured softly, voice scratchy with illness. She was so pale and skinny- malnurished and ill. She heard one of the girls in her cage get dragged out, and the cage drag shut. She was sure to go soon. Good.

Jack's face reddened with rage as he pried open the bars of the cage with ease and yanked Crystals frail boddy out of the cage as if she were a rag doll. "What the fuck do you mean 'since when are you my master'?! Since I kidnapped you and locked you in my basement! Since I branded you with the scars of MY torture methods! Haven't you ever seen Homeward Bound? The pets are always supposed to come back home- its supposed to be an instinctual thing or some wierd shit. Either way, it obviously wasn't my job to come find you- it was yours to come find me. Looks like someone has forgotten her disobedience training. Thats alright though, there will be plenty of time for that once I get you back in your kennel." Jack said, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her towards the doors of the night club.

Crystal screamed in surprise when he yanked her out, her bad leg catching a bar and giving her even more pain than usual. She stumbled behind him as he told her how much of a dog she really was- like the dogs of Homeward Bound. She burst into sobs. Stopping her legs from moving and just letting him drag her- literally. "Just kill me, Jack, please," she begged again. "Bad pets get put down- so put me down!"

Jack froze, caught off gaurd. His face took on an unusually somber expression as his gaze lowered, staring down at Crystal for a second. Jak was normally never serious- his three main emotions were angry, sarcastic, and cruel. He was rarely every somber, let alone sad. Jak had always believed one thing about death- he didn't believe killing or imposing death was a bad or cruel thing, simply a way of life. The torturing he did before-hand was the cruel part- which he enjoyed much more than he should. The thing about death, though, was that when it was welcomed- that was when it was a real tragedy. This didn't include the point in which all of Jack's victims begged him to just kill them, to end the torture- Jack meant when it was like this...with Crystal. Then again, she was just like another one of his torture victims- in a sense. For her, however, the toruture had gone one for months, not the usual weeks that his victims lasted if they were strong enough. He wasn't sure what he wanted concerning Crystal....but it sure as hell wasn't this. This made him...remorseful. NEVER in all of Jack's years as a vampire had he ever felt bad about killing anyone, let alone a human. And he hadn't even killed Crystal- at least not physically. He wasn't sure what the hell he was doing or even wanted, but he had definitely been wrong when he had thought her death would be the release he needed in his life. Picking her up, he gathered her frail body in his arms, fitting her small form perfectly in his arms. He'd never been good with words, so he didn't try and use any to comfort her as he walked out of the club with her in his arms. "No. I will not put you down....since when I have ever given you what you want." he added, unable to resist. Besides, if he was too nice to her it might freak her out even more.

Crystal started to sob more, thumping her hands against him when she was in his chest. She didn't get that he was being kind to her- or humorous. "If you won't kill me than I'll find some way to do it myself!" she sobbed out, shaking in his strong, sturdy arms. Why the hell did she love him at all? He was so...He RUINED her. "I'll do it, I'll kill myself, I swear I will!"

Jack could feel himself getting angry at her resistance to do as she was told, but he knew now was not the time to let his anger take over like he usually did. It was weird- actually thinking about and caring how his actions would affect anyone else. "Why would you want to kill yourself when I have such a glamorous life to offer you." Jack replied, half-sarcastic and half serious. He couldn't let himself be totally serious and raw about this- it would make things real, which wasn't a reality he could cope with at the moment.

Crystal whimpered and stopped hitting him. She kept crying. "What glamour? A kennel and abuse? That sounds WONDERFUL," she bit out sarcastically and then did something to try to get this process over with- she punched him in the cheek. "THERE! I'm a bad pet- Put ME DOWN!" she screamed, sobbing loudly.

"FINE!" Jack said, dropping her in the alleyway so that she fell to the ground. "Your down, happy now?" he said, obviously reffering to the fact that she was out of his arms as down rather than dead. "Obviously, we have some unresolved issues here, and I'd hate for them to come between us." he drawled out sarcastically. "But lets make one thing clear. You NEVER ask me to do anything for you- especially not to put you down. You are MY property, so I decide what happens to you. Understand." he growled, a menacing image in the dim lighting of the street lamp.
