Robin stared at the credit card in her hand. Hillary leaned against the wall, watching her. "Aren't you going to eat?" "...I feel like I'm abusing...Here," she said and handed him the card. And then about half of what Alex had given her in the alley. Hillary started to protest, but Robin held her hand up. "I feel like I'm abusing both of your kindness...I can't do it..." "You're keeping half though?" Robin's stomach growled and she explained, "It's for food..." Hillary handed her the money back. "Then this would be for food too...C'mon, don't feel bad...If you don't take this then I'll find out where you live and just leave it under your pillow..." Hillary smiled and stuffed it into her hand. "Now C'mon! Lets go abuse Alex's credit card!" She had an evil glint in her eyes. "I'll get stuff too to make ya feel better, mmkay?" Robin smiled and followed her to the food place. When they got back, they watched Race play. She thought he was pretty good. Hillary jumped and hugged her brother at the news. "That's fabulous, Alex! Ohmygosh!...I won't have to work!" She joked.
Elise smiled and followed Ramsey to wherever they were going. "So...how long do the races last?" she asked Ramsey as she walked with him, looking around and tugging on one of her piercings nervously.
Sam got stopped by her friend when they reached the illegal races. "Lets watch, then dance, okay?" her friend said and raced over to the crowd. Sam followed to her best abilities, sitting down on a bench towards the back. Her friend came and took a seat beside her, smiling and babbling. "God, I can't wait till I'm eighteen...I'm fucking leaving my family and their rules..." Sam nodded, looking sad. "Yeah, leaving..." "...You okay?" "...Do you think we could go to the bookstore tomorrow night? I...need...you know..." Her friend laughed and kissed her cheek. "You secret sex devient," she teased and Sam flushed. "Am not." "Are so!" "...Thanks." "Yup yup." Her friend left her alone for awhile while Sam leaned against the brick wall.

Alex rolled his eyes- of course Hillary's mind would go directly to how the sitution would impact herself- then again, her self-centeredness was part of what made her who she was. Looking at Robin, he tried to gauge her reaction. "So, did you like it? What'd you guys have to eat?" Glancing at his watch, he looked back up at the two. "We should probably get going pretty soon if we want to see Race race." he said, laughing at the play on words.
"So, you and Race, huh?" Ramsey asked, glancing over at her. "You guys aren't exactly similar." he said, laughing. "So, whats up with that anyways? I mean, he's kind of a hot shot loud mouth, and your...well, your not loud and obnoxious."
Having to slow himeslf down to a human pace once he got within view of the humans, Greg cursed as he made his way through the crowd out in front of Black Sheet. Brething in deeply to catch Jak's scent, Greg froze, catching someone else's scent instead. Thinking he must've been mistaken, Greg took another deep breath, tracing its scent to its source. Studying the blonde sitting on the bench, Greg smirked, realizing it was indeed Sam. This would be fun. Walking up to her, Greg tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. "Well, now, Sam. I didn't take you for a liar. But, then again, I also never took you for a blonde." he said, a small smile creeping onto his lips.

"I...uh...liked it, and we had food," she answered, hugging herself and looking around. Hillary handed Alex his card and winked at him, mouthing him a 'you owe me.' Robin was focused on something- she was thinking. She was thinking about how long she'd have to wait here.
"I haven't a clue, but it's nice," she answered, smiling and taking a seat. She smiled more and tapped her fingers against her lap. "Um...so Race is good?" she asked, looking anxious. "Does he ever get...hurt?"
Sam looked up at the gu- Oh, shit it's Greg. She stared up at him as he ...How did he know it was her? She stiffened and looked down, admitting guilt. "Yeah....well...I never took you for the clubbing type either," she said softly, looking up and smiling- probably to his surprise.

Alex noticed Robin's disgruntled facial expression. "Uh, is there something wrong?" Alex asked, wondering if she didn't like his music. "Look, Robin, I get that your trying to put up this whole ice queen act, but can you cut the shit. I don't have time for this- just get over yourself. When does the god damn act end?"
Ramsey nodded. "Yes, he's one of the best in illegal underground racing- that boy's got an amazing career in racing ahead of him if he sticks with it. Of course he gets hurt sometimes, but all racers do- its just part of the job description." he explained with a shrug. "Here." he said, escorting her to the front row. "The race is about to begin so just flag me down if you need anything." he said, walking over to his viewing post a few feet away.
Greg laughed at her assumption. "Good, because I'm not here to go clubbing. I'm here to meet a friend. However, I doubt he'll mind if I take a rain check." The hell he would- Jak was probably going to get beat to a pulp by whoever he owed money to. Ah well, it served him right. He was a full grown vampire- he should be able to defend himself against a couple of demons- and if not he deserved to get the shit beat out of him. "So, why exactly are you here, Samantha." Greg said, looking around for her friends. "This is not exactly an area of town that a girl like you should be in alone, especially at night."

Robin zoned in when she realized she was being spoken to. "Huh?" she asked at the end, looking genuinely confused. "What act...Oh!" It clicked in and she scowled. "I'll cut my ice queen act when you cut your 'I've got balls' act," she muttered. "So...What are we doing tonight? You paid for me, now what are we doing?"
"Call me Francesca while I'm in this get-up, and...I"m not here alone, my friend is just watching the race for now, so I'm waiting...We both come from similar families and...several times a week...sneak out and...Become Francesca and Mary-Anne." She shrugged, looking away. "What's your friend up to? Do I know of him?"

"How about we go out and buy you a real personality." Alex replied sarcastically. He had really had about enough of this girls attitude- he was all for being independent and all that shit- but she was being plain mean. "Your keeping your clothes on tonight. I'm not the type of guy that needs to prove that I have balls to girls like you by shoving them into you. We're going to watch my brothers race, and if you have a problem with it you can leave and keep your money. I really don't give a crap if you stay if your going to act like this."
"No." Greg replied confidently. Jak made a point to avoid contact with humans- and what few humans he did come into contact with he killed. "My friend is busy handling some business transactions currently. Have you endulged in your 'blessed dinner' yet?" Greg asked, using the same words she had.

Robin glared at him deeply before storming off. She walked off into the night, stumbling a few times because she was crying and angry and not focused. She eventually stopped in a bus stop and sat down, holding her face in her hands and sobbing. She eventually made it home to the little hole she lived in- literally a hole in the wall under a tunnel that wasn't used much anymore. It had been her home her entire life. She stuffed Alex's money into a sock and hid it, planning on not spending a dime of his money. She changed into the only other clothes she had aside from her uniform- a ragged, disgusting, worn blue shirt and like jeans. She got under her baby blanket and pulled the scraps of garbage to her head, and tried to sleep. Her mom and dad had been homeless when she was born. Dad died of pnuemonia, mom died a nameless hooker. Though she had tried many times, she had never been able to get a decent job somewhere...Which is how she went to prostitution. She was starving, and people give less food as a homeless child gets older. She managed to get shampoo from freebies given out by churches, so she was somewhat clean...But life was very hard for her. She stared at the photograph of her mother and father with a vacant expression, and then drifted off into her very light, tense sleep.
"Yes, I have. It was chicken casserole..." She crinkled her nose. "Not so blessed, turns out." Sam smiled at him and leaned against him for a moment, then moved away. "So what about you? What did you eat for dinner?"

Alex let out an exasperated sigh. "Jesus, that girls such a drama queen- why won't she just take what I'm offering and get over herself." He knew he couldn't just let her walk into the night like that- and he was probably going to miss his brothers race because of it, but he had to see if she was alright. "Hillary, sorry, but I'm gonna have to bail on you. Look, I think thats Elise over there, maybe you can go hang with her." Jogging into the night after Robin, he finally found her curled up under a tunnel all cold and ragged. Sighing, he knew this was going to be a fight, and he did act like an asshole alot of the time, but he wasn't coldhearted enough to leave her here out in the cold. Picking her up bridal style, he secured his hold on her before she had time to fully wake up, making sure she couldn't wriggle out of his grasp. "Listen good and well, Robin. I'm taking you to a hotel and your stating there- get over your god damn ego and accept it- I'm not giving you a choice in the matter. I'll stay there with you if I have to, and I'm sure you'd just love that." he said sarcastically. "Newsflash, I'm not doing this because I pitty you. If I was doing this out of pity, trust me, you woldn't be the one I'd be concerned about- all the little children out on the streets alone at night that aren't even old enough to understand what prostitution is are the ones I'd pitty." His grasp around her was tight, almost to the point where it hurt, but he knew with her fiery temper that it had to be.
Greg laughed- go she had good timing. "My friend brought me dinner." More like she was dinner, but Sam definitely wasn't ready to handle the concept of vampires yet, let alone feeding. "So, explain to me something. You hold yourself to be a good, true christian, correct? Then, why do you mutilate yourself and tell lies and sneak out of your parent's house against their wishes to commit acts that would be considerd sins in the bible? Is it that your faith in god is not as strong as your pretend that it is, or do you just have an intense desire to burn in hell?" Greg definitely was blunt when he spoke- he felt that subtlty was overated and a waste of time, at least when he spoke to people that he actually had an interest in developing a relationsip with. Sometimes he was subtly with those that it was neccessary but involuntary to communicate with for the sole purpose of arising less quesitons and therefore less communication with them- but he definitely intended on purusing a relationship with Sam.
Finally, when Stephen felt like he could barely stand and that any anger left in him had left his body, he crept back into the house, avoding making noise so that he wouldn't have to have the inevitable 'talk' his parents had probably spent most of the night formulating as a result of what had happened between him, his father, and Cassie. Gently pushing open the door to Cassie's room, Stephen was quiet as he took a seat. He could be with her while she was asleep like this, but not while she was coherent and could speak. He wouldn't be able to bear the fear she would probably have for him in her eyes. It was just like with his mother and father....he was turning into his father. Clenching his hands into fists, Stephen's features turned stone cold as he resigned himself- he would not feel the way he had these past few years for Cassie any longer- it was wrong- she was his sister- and it was definitely harmful to her health. He would treat her as he treated anyone else, with indifference. It would only make her having to leave less painful for the both of them. And indifferent people definitely didn't wait by bedsides. Getting up, Stephen left as quietly as he had come, going into his own bedroom and forcing himself to sleep.
Revving the engine to the motorcycle, Race propelled his bike foreward, aligning himself with the other racers at the starting line. 3, 2, 1. The gunshot rang out and the race was on. Race easily got ahead of the others, taking the curves and bends of the roads with the ease of an expert. He finished first place with time to spare, and was greeted at the finish line by an ecstatic Ramsey. "Thats my man, Race. You did awesome. Left your competition in the dust." Ramsey said as he paid Race the portion of the prize money that was his. Race beamed, elated by the win. His eyes scanning the crowd for Elise, he smiled and waved at her just as a sound that sent the crowd scattering rang through the air- police cars. Jumping off of Ramsey's bike, Race ran over to Elise and Hillary. "Shit, we've gotta get outta here. Hillary, you take Alex's car and haul ass back home. We'll meet you back there. C'mon Elise. You better be ready for the ride of your life." He said as he pulled her onto his motorcycle before jumping on himself and racing foreward. He hit speeds of over 90 mph as he weaved in and out of traffic, trying to evade the cops.
(( p.s., if you like him he could also be another potential love interest if one of my guys right now doesn't work out)) Jak set eyes on Greg talking to some human girl just as the cops showed up- he must've been trying to snag a bite before he headed over to help him. Growling in aggrivation as he made his way through the screaming mass of humans towards his friend, Jak bared his fangs at a few of them as a warning that if they touched him, they were dead.

Robin felt something warm and snuggled into it, that is, until she woke up enough to realize who it was. "Can I get a picture?" she asked, too tired to fight now. "And those children- they learn a lot of nasty things too early, way too early." She sounded saddened. She reached for her picture when he let her, then held it to her chest. She took this picture everywhere when she wasn't staying at home. It was the only one she had of her mom and dad and herself. A nun took it the night they made it into a soup kitchen. Robin was four.
Sam scratched her neck and looked away, letting out a soft chuckle. "Wrong- I hold myself to be a good Christian at school and in public places so that my family looks good. And with that answer, it's obvious my faith in god isn't very intense...Whose that guy walking towards us?" she asked, spotting Jak. It was also at this time that her friend- Crystal- started over with concern on her face. Sam didn't know about vampires, whereas Crystal did. And Sam was her only friend that was just as weak in faith as she, and she needed Sam to survive her own family's problems.
Cassie started to stir, sounding far off though. "Stephen?" she slurred out, opening her eyes and looking around, frowning sadly when he wasn't there. A hot tear rolled down her cheek. God, her neck hurt.
Elise clung to him so tight on the motorcycle, her arms locking around his chest and her body molding itself against his. She clamped her eyes shut, at first, but opened after awhile and let out a thrilled noise of excitement.
Hillary hauled ass home in Alex's car, wondering where he was.

"Here, I'll get it." Alex said, leaning down low enough to the ground so that he could grab the picture. He knew it must've been of her family- who else would she want a picture of. He was willing to bet that her parent's had both died when she was young, forcing her to take to the streets and sell her body to survive. He supposed they could've just kicked her out with that attitude of hers, but he doubted that judging by the look in her eyes- that lonely, lost look- and the fact that she was carrying around a picture of them. "Close your eyes for a few seconds, and don't open them until I tell you to." Alex instructed her, waiting for her to do so before using his superspeed to reach the nearest hotel in a matter of seconds. There was no way he was going to carry her all the way to a hotel at human speed- and the only reason him and his triplets bothered with cars was to make it appear as if they were human- except for Race, his use of cars and motorcycles was purely for fun. He wasn't sure if Robin was aware of werwolves, but he sure as hell didn't trust her enough at this point to tell her.
Greg let out a heavy sigh as he spotted Jak comming towards them- he didn't want Jak making Sam his midnight snack. Turning to Sam, Greg kept his voice low although he knew at this point Jak would hear him no matter how low he spoke. "Samantha, you should really start heading home. This late at night, there are those who might seek to harm young girls such as yourself." And, little did she know, one of those people was heading directly towards her.
"Hey, Gregory, its nice of you to bring me dinner and all, but would you cut the chit chat. I don't have all day here." Jak said, eyeing Sam with a hungry bloodlust that would send any sane person running. Greg stood up, walking up to Jak before he could get any closer to Sam. "She's not food." "But she's human." Jak growled, looking over Greg shoulder at Sam. "I said no." Greg said, his voice stiff and totallt serious. Jak's eyes drifted back to Greg's. "Aww, come on now. Don't tell me your warming up to humans." he said, shaking his head in disgust. "No. I'm not. Just with her." Greg replied honestly as he looked back at Sam for a second. "Now leave. You've rudely interrupted my conversation with her." Jak shook his head, his eyes narrowing at Greg. "Fine. I'll give you your time alone with that thing, but we will talk about this later. I will not associate myself with someone who things of our meals as friends." He growled. Greg was unfazed, his face unchanging as he stood his ground, waiting for Jak to leave.
After dithcing the cops, Race pulled into a dark ally that sheltered them from sight in dakrness. "Your alright?" he asked, his voice shaky with adrenalline. Man, that had been an amazing run- weaving in and out of traffifc.

Robin did as he asked since he got her picture. She felt a lot of air rushing past her, but she didn't understand why or how. When they eventually came to a stop, she cleared her throat. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't let...my own...views keep me from accepting help..." Her cheeks were pink as she admitted guilt and wrongness. She licked her lips and shifted in his arms.
Sam stood and turned slightly, hearing her friend call to her. Crystal, a short blond haired-blue eyed beauty approached, wearing a lot of leather that showed off her perfect rump- she didn't really have breasts to show off. Lots of curves, and a butt. She tugged on her super tall friend's hand. "Um...What are you doing?" "What do you mean?" "These are bad people!" She whispered urgently, eyeballing Gregory and Jak as they spoke. Sam heard them, and shivered a the way that Jak looked at her. But she looked back to Crystal. "One of them is a friend from school." Crystal looked at him, surprise on her face. "Hm. Didn't think they liked school," she commented, throwing Sam through a loop. "What do you mean?" Sam asked, shifting uncomfortably in her heals. Crystal looked back at them, then muttered under her breath, "Look, those things that go bump in the night...well they really do...Those two men are vampires." Sam stared at her, then burst out laughing, squatting slightly and using her knees for support as she laughed hard. Crystal didn't look amused, and crossed her arms and scowled. "I'm serious!" she snapped.
Elise was shaking a bit from the same rush, and she smiled and nodded at him. "Y-yeah! That was...Oh, God, I'm shaking so much...Wow...that was...intense...or something...I don't know..."

Alex blinked, surprised at what had come out of Robin's mouth. An apology was the last thing he had been expecting from her after taking her against her will from her makeshift home and forcing her to live in a hotel. The hotel that he had brought her to was middle class- he didn't want to bring her to a place that was too ritsy and would make her feel uncomfortable. "Naw, its alright. I guess its part of what I like about you- the fiesty part, not the bitchy part." he clarified, laughing as he set her down on her own two feet. "Here, I figure you probably want to walk in yourself..." he said, not wanting to embarrass her. "So, heres my credit card. You can use it to get food or clothes or whatever shit you need. I'll be checking in on you every day to make sure your still staying here." he warned, his face serious. "Only two rules- I don't want you buying alcohol or drugs with the money."
"Well, can I at least taste the blonde one before I go." Jak said ,eyeing Crystal. "Do whatever you want with her." Greg said, returning to Sam's side now that Jak's attention was obviously focused elsewhere. "Samantha, allow me to take you home?" Greg offered, knowing that by this time more of his little friends were probably out prowling for a snack. "Your friend Crystal is right about it being dangerous out here at night- although I'm not the one you should be worried about. There are...dangers that you may be unaware of that are more present when darkness falls. Perhaps it would be wise of you to stay indoors during this time of night unless you have someone properly equipped to handle such dangers with you." he said, glancing around to see if any more vamps were around.
"You want me to take you home?" he asked, wondering id she had a curfue. Probably not- normally drunks weren't that aware of time.

She stared at the credit card in her hands, obviously not comfortable with the idea of spending his money. "So...I'm just staying one night here, or...I'm confused..." She said, looking up at him. She didn't understand why he wanted her to stay in the hotel. She was deeply confused. And tired.
Crystal's eyes bulged at Greg's comment. She wrapped herself around Sam and clung to her. "Uh uh, hell no! I am so not getting eaten by a vamp!" she said, eyes wide and afraid. Sam stopped laughing when her friend became afraid. She looked up at Greg, looking afraid but also curious. She nodded at what he said, licking her lips. "Is she right?" she asked, confused. "Are you...a vampire?" she asked, voice very low. Crystal was eyeballing Mr Hungry Jak while Sam was brought into a whole new world...And probably her kind of sex.
"I want to go somewhere with a bed," she answered. "It doesn't have to be my home though." Elise smiled at him.

"No." Alex replied, check his watch. God, it was already 2 a.m.- his parents were going to be so pissed when he finally got home, "You'll be staying here until I tell you otherwise." he said, not really knowing what he was planning, but figuring he better explain the situation to his parents so they'd put more money on the credit card. "Look, I've gotta get home, but here's my number." he said, handing her the buisiness cards his band normally gave to potential employers. "Call me if you need anything, are you going to need a ride to school?" he asked, figuring he could just stop by the hotel on the way there.
Greg couldn't help but smile in surprise. She was normally not this blunt- especially not about things like this. Pausing as he decided how to handle the situation, Greg decided he might as wel tell her the truth. She obviously wasn't the saint she pretended to be- cutting and sneaking out at night. Maybe she wouldn't freak out about it like he had initially assumed. Taking a step towards her, Greg smiled wider- wide enough so that the tips of his fangs stuck out. "Does it matter, Samantha? If I wanted you as my main meal, I would've already drank from you. Remember? I already know what you taste like." he said, refferring to the incident back in home ec. "You have good reason to fear most vampires, but I do not seek to harm you. Do not misunderstand, I am violent and dangerous at times, but you are among the few that I would seek to protect instead of harm." He wasn't ashamed of what he was, nor was he going to lie to her and make her believe he was something he wasn't. "I have killed and murdered. I have drank from those unwilling to offer their blood to me. I am nothing like the saints you worship at your church. Distance yourself from me if you feel the need to, but know this- if you are among those that I value in this world, no harm will ever come to you."
Jak did a double take, suprised at what Greg was saying. Normally, Greg didn't give people the time of day, whether they were vampires or humans, let alone bother to explain himself. What was he not seeing in this human girl that his friend was. Not wanting to listen to the rest of this little speech, Jak walked foreward, grabbing Crystal by the hair and beginning to drag her into the back of the alley. "No." Greg said, making Jak stop mid stride. "She is an associate of Samantha. You may not violate her." "Aww for christ sake." Jak yelled, letting go of the girl and dropping her to the floor. "They're just human girls, Gregory. Who gives a fuck." Greg growled, obviously the only explination he would offer his friend. Sighing, Jak walked up to Greg, shaking his head. "You know, I wouldn't even bother with you if Drasilla wouldn't tear my ass to shreds for killing you." he said before storming off into the darkness. Greg barely even acknowledged Jak's words, knowing the guy was just frustrated and nothing more- Jak said alot of shit like that when he was frustrated- and he only meant about 1/4 of it.
Race paused, wondering what exactly she was saying. "Uh, I don't really think I understand. Do you want to crash at my house for tonight?"

"I'm not going to school tomorrow...Why are you putting me into a hotel?" she asked, still confused. She needed to get the rest of her things if he was doing this to- for her. She shuffled her posture a bit on the floor, feeling cold.
Sam stared up at him, mouth open slightly. He was a...woah. Vampires were real? Like...She wasn't dreaming? Her cheeks flushed suddenly as she recalled her earlier fantasy, and she shifted uncomfortably. Oh god, this is not the time to be getting moist, she thought in embarrassment. She reached over and touched him very gently, to make sure he was really there. More fantasys ran through her head and she took a step back. She was brought back to reality by the sound of Crystal struggling. "No, let go!" she struggled, clawing at Jak's hand as he dragged her. She let out a oof of pain when she was shoved back to the ground. She scrambled up quickly and went to Sam's side. Crystal watched with Sam in silent fascination as the two vampires conversed and eventually Jak left. Crystal looked up at Sam, and gently pinched her. Sam looked at her. "Look, we gotta get home."
"I'll crash wherever. If you want to take me home, take me home, but if you want me to sleep over, then take me to your place."
