"I've got every helper demon at my disposal doing work for me right now." He gave a wave of his hand and piles and piles of work appeared all around his desk. "This is everything that i've been sent to look over by them. You're lucky, you just have to file it, that's everything I have looked over so far... today. My demons are sending me everything I need to finish." Death grumbled and grabbed a stack of work and set it on his desk, starting to skim through it.

Corinne was silent after that so he could work in peace. She went about gathering the papers and that took...Well, a long time. When she thought she was done, two more papers would show up. So she'd file and search, file and search, file and search, file and search, and then after hours of that, took a break to gather his mail and go through that, sorting that as well. Then she went to the bookshelf, and returned to locating papers. Well...She'd never be bored.

A couple of more hours went by in silence, Death didn't look up from his work once until he had finished all of the papers that had been piled every where around him. The paperwork all lifted into the air and floated over to Corinne's desk, it landed gracefully on the floor in front of it. "That all needs to be done... I don't expect you to finish it tonight, actually I don't expect much of you." He stood up and stretched, rolling his shoulders a little and making his way to leave the room. "You can find your way around the house by yourself, do whatever the fuck you want, there's a kitchen and a bunch of other human made shit around the house, radio, stereo system, CD's, a television, etcetera... Eat whatever you want. Don't do anything retarded though, like set fire to anything." Death informed her before opening the door and leaving the room, this was a sign that she was done for the day, unless she wanted to get a head start on filing all of the shit he had just left there for her to do.

Corinne looked up from reading through a few summons he had and looked at the stack of paper, and then kept her gaze there at the dig at her abilities. Of course not, she thought to his comment about his expectations of her. She sighed and watched him go, and then checked the time. She yawned softly and stood, going around to lift the paper up and then she headed to the rows of filing cabinets to get a heads start. Since there were helper demons running in and out, she didn't dance or listen to music. She stopped filing when her body gave the protest it did when she worked to much- a cramp and a growl of hunger. She put the rest of the things that needed to be filed on her desk and then headed out of the study. She roamed the house for half an hour until she found the kitchen. She made a sandwich and an omelet, and drank two glasses of orange juice, before she went to find herself a room to sleep in and such. Once she did, she sat on the bed and did a quick relocation spell, and brought forth all her clothes and personal effects from the other world. She went about rearranging them in the room, and put a yellow scrunchie with pink ducks on it on the doorknob of her room to recall where it was. She showered and got into her pajamas, and then got into bed, and was out like a light.
She woke up early the next day and dressed in something more formal than the previous day and went to the study after eating a carrot for breakfast. She brought a bottle of water with her to keep her hydrated throughout the day. She set it down on the floor so if it did spill, it wasn't on the papers she had to file. She started to finish what she had started the previous night firstly, and then moved on to the mail.

Death walked into the study, the door slamming behind him as it closed, he didn't even bother to acknowledge Corinne at all when he came in, instead he went straight to his desk and sat down, waving his hand to make all of the work that he needed to approve appear around his desk, the same way it did the day before. Whenever he got mail or parcels it'd appear in the mail or parcels pile, Death didn't have to use any magic to get those.
"Have I gotten any summons... Uhm... What's your name again, bitch?" He asked after half an hour of complete minus the sound of shifting papers and the scratching of a pen. Red eyes moved up to pin point Corinne, giving her a bored glare.

"Left stack on the desk," she answered as she finished something on her desk. She yawned softly and stretched, then leaned over and picked up some tape, a piece of paper, and a black sharpie. She pulled some scissors out and cut the paper small enough that it wasn't obnoxious. She wrote in big capital letters, C-O-R-I-N-N-E, and then tapped it to her shirt. She sat like that for a few moments, then tore it off and crumbled it and tossed it. Not sarcastic enough she thought and stood. "Please excuse me, Death," she said before heading out. She had to pee.

"That's Master Death to you, Corinne." He snapped in response and glared at her before he picked up the stack of mail on his desk and flipped through it, he scowled coldly and stood up, throwing the mail down on the desk before disappearing without a trace from the study. Death had been summoned for a direct appearance with the king of the elves, and it seemed that he only had five minutes to get to the meeting, and prepare himself for it. The god made a mental note to yell at Corinne when he got back to the house.

Corinne returned five minutes later and saw to it that the rest of the mail was sorted and she placed a sticky note on each pile explaining what it was. Then she redid each pile into miny piles, and used different sticky notes to indicate which pile had urgent matters in it, and which pile could wait till later. By the time that was done, there was at least six piles. Then she headed off to, yet again, file and shelve books.

Death reappeared three hours later, looking quite relaxed, one of his twisted grins on his face. He had appeared in the seat behind his desk and immediately spotted Corinne, his grin faltered ever so slightly before returning to normal. He looked at his desk and saw the mail and then sighed, grin disappearing completely, he looked at the urgent mail first, looking through them boredly. "I could've been sent into the lowest fucking layer of hell, and stripped of all my powers if I was late for that meeting, Corinne." Death commented lightly, reading over another summon, he apparently had quite a few things to do the next day.

Corinne felt a shiver run up her spine and she cringed. She looked over at him from the book shelf and bowed, feeling bad. "Sorry," she apologized. "It shouldn't happen again," she assured him a moment later, but made sure to use the word 'shouldn't.' People make mistakes. "Is there, uh, anything you need me to do today that's different?" she asked.

"It won't happen again, because if it does, it's your head on a platter." Death muttered out, setting down the mail and starting to work on his paperwork again. "Anything different... Hm... Look up a book about the Elven High Council and about the Royal Elven Family, read them... See what's respectful and disrespectful, make notes on what'd be good to bring up in conversations and things that I definatly should not bring up in conversations. And find out who currently are memebers of the royal family, I already know the entire elven high council by name and appearance." He ordered, still calm, his bad mood from the day before gone now that someone was there to do work for him.

She smiled widely and mock-saluted him. "Yes, Sir!" she agreed and scampered off, gathering every book that had to do with elves and starting with the basics. She jotted down stuff every so often, a bounce in her step each time she had to return the book- She was a research junky. She loved research projects. She paused every so often when she became fascinated with a book's knowledge, and she reread a few passeges in surprise and smiled a lot. Halfway through the third book, two hours later, she looked up and smiled at Death. "Thank you for hiring me. This is fun."

Death looked at her, one of his eyebrows raised slightly. "Oh, you're sooo, welcome." He replied sarcastically, he was not having fun at all with the work he was doing, actually, it really sucked. "I'm glad you're having fun in this shithole study."

Corinne nodded once to show she had listened, and then returned to reading. She'd jot down the gist of things ever so often. The whole project took in total seven more hours to complete, and when that was done she made each item she'd learned into categorized lists, which took another hour, and then she did a quick double check on the more complex things. Finally though, her lists were complete. She set them on Death's desk, looking exhausted, but thrilled. There were two question marks by two facts; one about clothing and one about language. "The royal dress code varies for each meeting depending on the formality, and the princess really likes it when visitors are able to speak the Old Tongue- old elf. If the meeting is really formal," she paused and set a red folder on his desk. "The information is in here. Casual is in blue, Casual Dress is in the yellow, and other is in the green. And the purple folder has lists of some Old Tongue words...I don't know if you know the language...I'd expect you would..." That was a compliments of sorts. She waited patiently for him to insult her.

"... Good jod, you're quite thorough." Death murmured and set down his pen and absent mindedly fingered the folders, frowning a little in throught. "I know how to speak every language." He replied and grabbed the blue folder, opening it up and looking through it. "I need this information because the King of elves is here... Doing business with Satan about something, i'm going to be in and out of here quite a lot, you got it? This next couple of days is important for me, if I get any mail from Satan then you tell me immediately, don't leave it on my desk." Death informed, standing and setting the folder down, he rolled his shoulders. "I think works done for today."
