Corinne let out a soft noise of relief at being done- she was starting to get hungry and tired and stiff. "Yup, Satan means now," she agreed and then left the study, going to her room to shower and get into her pajamas, and then to the kitchen to cook.

He nodded and waltzed out of the room and immediately went to the kitchen, he opened the fridge and grabbed the entire carton of chocolate milk and then went back upstairs to go back to his office/study to read up on elves for the rest of the night. Death wouldn't admit it out lud but Corinne was doing a good job... Well, so far at least, it would only get harder from here now, and he was just waiting for her to do something stupid so that he could yell at her or fire her or tell her off... Well, he wanted to do something to hurt her feelings.

Corinne made herself a grilled cheese sandwich and had some chips and a soda with it. She walked around the house after she was done. She paused outside of Death's office, thinking for a moment. She knocked on the door, wanting to ask him a rather personal question about her mother.

Death looked up at the door and scowled, he really didn't want to be bothered at the moment. Shaking his head he gave a wave of his hand and the door to the room flung open, revealing Corinne standing there in it's place. "Can I be of any help to you?" He asked scathingly, glaring coldly at her.

Corinne winced. "Uh...I was...It's not...Sorry. I just wanted to know if you reaped the soul of my mom when she passed?" she asked, merely curious about it. She was also worried about where her mom went- was it a happy place, or not?

"Your mother?" He was silent for a moment, looking Corinne over for a short period of time and then closing his eyes to remember, he could remember anyone that had died, it was in his job description too. "Your mother... No, I didn't reap her... She went to Heaven, angels picked up her soul." Death grumbled out and opened his eyes again. "I that all you wanted to know?"

Corinne nodded, looking very happy. "Thank you," she said and moved away from the door. She paused. "Do you want me to shut the door?" she asked him, looking at him from the hallway.

"Don't fucking bother, just get out of here." Death snapped, and the door slammed shut with a resounding bang completely by itself. He sighed hard and started roughly leafing through the pages of each folder, glaring at the words that were written on them.

Corinne frowned and moved away. She headed to her room, stripped down to her birthday suit, and got into bed. She was feeling a little hotter than normal.

After about two hours of reading he couldn't take it any longer, he was sweating because it was hot and he was tired because he had been working the entire bloody day. Death took off his shirt and wiped the sweat off of his face and sides with it, he then tossed it on the ground carelessly. He stomped out of the room and down the hall to Corinne's room, he threw the door open without knocking and flicked on the lights, walking in. "Hey, instead of reading that shit load of stuff you got me, why don't you just come, I mean seriously, do you honeslty expect me of all people to remember all of that? And you being the brainiac should remember it all, hey, you catch all of that bitch?" Death lectured out to her, the entire time his eyes had been closed or he had been looking somewhere else, but now he was looking at the bed, and he could see one very bare leg sticking out from underneath the covers and quite a bit of shoulder too. His eyebrows shot up in disbelief, his jaw clenching tightly.

Corinne sat up sleepily, having been dreaming when he'd barged in. The blanket fell from her shoulders and pooled in her lap, revealing her upper half- and it wasnt' covered. She was still in a daze before she realized what had happened. SHe pulled up the blanket and flushed, staring at him. "Um...Um...I'm sorry- I was...well...Could you repeat that?" she asked, making sure the blanket was around her nice and tight. She was startled good and well now. Didn't he knock?

Death couldn't help it, he grinned and started to laugh at her. "What the fuck? You're sleeping naked in someone else's house, that's fucking bold of you, you've got some balls." He laughed even more and walked over to the bed, taking a seat on the edge of it and giving a sigh, calming himself down. "I said instead of me reading all of the shit you gave me, i'm just going to take you with me on the meetings, you can tell me what I need to know and all that cluster fuck of stuff while we're there." Death explained and watched her, still grinning, his eyes half-lidded and watching her.

Corinne flushed even darker at his comments. "Oh...Okay," she remarked to her new tasks. "That's...Yeah, okay..." SHe looked under hte covers at herself. "It's...very hot in here?" She explained, but wasn't sure if he wanted one- so it came out as a question. She looked back at him, cheeks still pink and eyes still wide.

"Yeah, well that's hell for you." Death replied and scratched his chest boredly before standing up. "Do you want an air conditioner in here or something, bitch?" He purred slowly out to her, taunting her a bit.

"A fan would be nice," she answered, not really needing an air conditioner to cool her off. Corinne reached down to a shirt that was by her bed and pulled it on, then stood. The shirt, which was green, fell just above her thighs.
