Lilly smiled at Aveline. "Don't worry about me," she murmured. "If you're free and you want them, then take them," she said. "Melody will love that...She's always so sad that she can't play with anyone....How old are you?" she asked, trying to gauge this woman's age.

"I can't take your children away from you." She said, declining, she wouldn't be able to take them away. "Besides, i'm a pirate... They might get hurt if I keep them with me." Aveline explained, she loved kids, and she wasn't about to put them in any danger. "I'm older than twenty and younger than twenty-five." She told Lilly, giving her a vague smile, she didn't like giving out information, just in case.

Lilly smiled at her. "I meant if you're free, feel free to take them to watch until I'm free," she mumbled softly. "...You can watch them when you want..." She looked at the vegetable she was peeling. "As for danger, any danger you'd put them in is probably minuscule to that of some of the dirtier pirates here."

She sighed in relief and blushed a little, feeling stupid. "Sorry, I got worried and jumped to conclusions." Aveline apologized and laughed at herself nervously, shaking her head and looking at her hands as they peeled. "I'm sure i'm much safer than all of them." Aveline in reality was a lying, cheating, traitorous, murdering, scoundrel, who almost always got herself into some sort of life-threatening situation. "Lilly... Is the Captain a light sleeper?"

"You probably won't molest my children," she mumbled to herself. "I'm so scared of when that day comes...The captain usually sleeps light..." she answered. "Did he really bother you? I'll go talk to him if you'd like, tell him to cool it? Me and Tod are the only ones who can do that." Lilly smiled softly at her, but then heard a throat clearing. She looked up and saw two of the crew standing not far from her, and motioned to her to come. She turned and smiled sadly to Aveline. "Thanks for your help, you can stop if you want," she mumbled before going with the two men.
Gil stepped into the helm again and started to steer once more. He was singing to himself, his eyes focused entirely on the sea as he prepared to do more sailing. He was extremely meticulous about things like this.

She twitched at the sentence that lilly uttered, she could feel anger boiling in her again at these men, but knew it'd be no use to get upset about it. Aveline watched her leave, eyes narrowed and black, she heaved a heavy breath and peeled about ten more vegetables quickly and then set her knife down and stood, grabbing a rag and wiping her hands off.
The woman appeared on deck minutes later, looking at Gil, she heard him singing and tilted her head to the side, studying his face before turning abruptly to find Clavier. She spotted him in a corner and made her way over, whispering into his ear and then stepping away once he gave a barely noticeable nod.

Gil watched them silently for the rest of the day, his gut not trusting them.
It was evening when he finally weighed anchor and went below to the galley. He got his food and took a seat with his first mate, and they ate silently with each other. Melody watched them from where she sat with her brother and Tod, looking sulky. She really did want to be with her dad.
Lilly finally made her appearance and took a seat with her kids. She looked like she'd been knocked around.

Aveline and Clavier sat by themselves near the back of the galley in a far corner. "So it looks like everythings going in our favour." She commented lightly, taking a bite of her food, eyelids low. "The Captain is steering the ship in the direction the maps been directing us, if we play our cards right we'll be able to find that treasure." Now, Aveline was speaking loud enough for anyone that had good hearing to be able to hear her perfectly, but she looked as if she was trying to keep this a secret. "We'll take a row boat once we're close enough to the island and then we'll find the treasure once we get there." Clavier added, keeping his head bent over his food. Aveline nodded and looked in Lilly's direction, she scowled fiercely at how roughed up the slave woman looked and shook her head to herself, trying hard to control her feelings.

Gil looked towards the newcomer's table when someone passed by and mentioned they were discussing treasure. He excused himself from the table and walked over to their table and took a seat, crossing his arms. "What do you know about this treasure?" he asked, sounding thoroughly pissed off that these were just scam-artists.
Lilly looked over and watched, Tod also watching. They were curious about the encounter going on. Lilly eventually had to look away as Melody wanted to play with her. Lilly stood, leaving her dinner half-eaten to go play with her daughter.

Aveline looked at Gil, outwardly looking disappointed with herself, but inwardly laughing. "Shit. I said that a bit to loudly..." She tensed up, looking angered with herself for being so stupid. "The treasure we're after is on this island called Kinthos and... And the treasure there is supposed to be legendary. I'm sure you've heard the story." Every pirate that sailed the seas new of the treasure that was said to be on that island, but no one knew how to get there. "Clavier I stumbled upon the map to it." Aveline whispered to the man and glared at him. "You can through us overboard if you wish."

Gil stared at them for a second, twitching and doing his ten-tap thing before nodding. "You two just became my best friends. Show me this map," he said and looked at the two of them calmly. He smiled at them for a moment, before growing calloused. "Actually, just give me the map, and we'll go to this island. I like adventures." He glowered at Aveline for a moment. "I swear I know you from somewhere..."

"We're not giving you the map." Clavier snapped out, finally speaking, he would not trust Gil with such an important item, it just would not be happening. Aveline on the other hand had gone unnaturally quiet, she had also had a feeling of recognition when she saw Gil, but hadn't thought anything of it. "I agree with Clavier, i'm not going to allow you to take the map. But i'll show it to you." She bargained, getting up and looking down at him, she glanced in Clavier's direction, tilting her head to the side, motioning for him to get up to. "It's in our room, we'll show it to you there, I don't feel comfortable showing it to you in front of the rest of the crew."

Gil slammed his fist on the table in anger but agreed to the bargain, standing to follow them out. He was growling a few things under his breath in a Basque as he followed them. He saw Lilly with Melody in the hallway, using a dirty sock with gunk on it as a puppet to play with her daughter. They seemed happy. "I need to talk to you later," he snapped at her before picking his pace up to follow the newcomers.

When they got to the room she let him in first and then followed behind him, Clavier following after her. The door shut behind them and Aveline walked over to a small trunk with a heavy lock on the front. She pulled a key from her pocket and then unlocked the trunk and took out a worn leather treasure map, it was the real deal. Her long fingered hand unraveled the map carefully and she walked over to the Captain's side, holding it out in front of them, she wasn't going to let him hold it, she didn't trust him. "Here it is, and if you want to search for this treasure then you're going to have to let me be the one to navigate. You aren't getting ahold of this." She told him coldly, glaring at him.

((sorry about that, had to shower))
Gil twitched for a few moments, tapping and figdeting and counting to twenty three times. He paced in thought, counting each step and making sure each length of a step was the same as the laster. He was thinking deeply. "I get half?" he asked finally, standing before her with an extremely pissed off expression on his face. But he wanted this legendary treasure.
