Solin looked at her; seeing how exhausted she seemed for the first time and sighed. "I'm sorry. This must have taken a toll on you after everything that happened. I'll go ahead and be on my way." He paused then, looking a bit unsure of himself. "Would you mind if I were to come tomorrow and see you?"

"No breaking in? Wow," she teased and sat up, shrugging. "Sure, why not? I don't usually have company anyways," she answered and grinned at him. "You'll have to explain why you were here when you come by tomorrow though."

Solin nodded with sad eyes. "You may have a hard time believing it, though I guess it's the right thing to do; especially considering the circumstances." He cracked a small smile then, not yet able to let it reach his eyes. "It was nice to meet you, sorry for breaking into your house." He looked at her a moment longer before turning and leaving her apartment.

Corinne rolled onto her side and fell into a deep slumber.
She had coffee the next morning and was still in her pajamas. Sundays were her free-days, so she usually lumbered around her house in a baggy shirt and plaid pajama pants. She took a seat at her counter while bacon and eggs cooked. She didn't know when Solin was coming over.

Solin walked the early morning streets, rain puddles casting bright rainbows along the pavement. There was still a slight drizzle in the air from last night but it didn't bother Solin as he walked. He was used to gloomy perdiciments; after all. And the somber mood only made him think on yesterday; and everything that had occured.
Never before had his powers not worked on someone. He wasn't quite sure how to deal with it. More importantly HOW to deal with it. Already he could feel Despair building in him once again; and was fearful of what would happen to him if he wasn't able to release it.
He walked by a flower stand then and haltered, staring down at the bright colors and wondering what type of flower Corinne liked. Reaching out he touched a particulary large sunflower, then gasped as he watched it wither and die before his very eyes.
Not only that; but a small ounce of his Despair had leaked through his hand and into the flower.
An idea striking him he glanced up and saw the vendor with her back turned to him, talking to someone. He quickly shot out both hands and touched as many of the flowers as he could. Staring in disbelief as they all withered and died. And the Despair flowed out of his body; leaving him feeling lighter.
So that was how he could do it! He didn't have to hurt human's to ease the pain of his burdon!
With new hope he turned and made his way down the street.

Corinne pulled on pants and a tank top, and then pulled her hair up into a pony tail. She kept her glasses off, resting her eyes for the time being. She waited silently for Solin to show up.

Solin arrived to Corinne's apartment complex shortly after and climbed the stairs to her apartment. Lifting his hand he knocked.

corinne answered, grinning at him. "Hey, come on in," she said and moved aside to let him in. "Can I get you anything to drink? Eat? I have some bacon left over from breakfast," she offered with a grin.

Solin stared down at her and a smile drew across his face. "I knew your eyes were beautiful." He said, noticing that she didn't have her glasses on. And thanks but that's arlight; I don't eat-" He caught himself at the last moment. "bacon. Too fattening, you know?" Realising that he must sound like some nutrition freek he laughed nervously. "I was actually wondering if you would like to show me around the city. What I actually didn't tell you is that I'm new here."

"Right, I'll give you the grand old tour once you tell me why you were here and how you got in," she muttered and moved from the door. "Come on in. I have healthy stuff too, you want that? I have tea?"

Solin cringed at her question but hesitantly stepped inside her apartment. His mind raced over a possible logical explanation for her as she shut the door behind him.
"Uh, thanks but if you have any water that should be fine."

She got him a glass of water and set it down on her coffee table. She then took a seat on her couch and patted the space beside her. "Well, come on," she assured him. "Oh, and...Just so you know...I know about the other things in this town," she informed him, hoping he'd understand what that meant.

Solin hesitantly sat beside her, careful to keep a space just in case his powers decided to suddenly work on her. His gaze jerked to her's in suprise at what she said then.
"Other? You mean....you know about the supernatural? Well I suppose that should help, a bit. But in truth I'm probably not like anything you've ever encounted before. No doubt you've heard of my kind, but none rarely live to tell the story after. You're the first actually." He cleared his throat before continueing. "I told you my name is Solin, but that is just a name I gave myself. My real name is Sorrow."

"I don't know much about it really. I've only just found out of my own elf heritage..." she muttered and then listened to him speak. "Sorrow...sad name," she joked and looked at her lap. "I like Solin better. It suits you...Sorry, I keep talking."

Solin grinned softly. "I like it when you talk, it makes me feel better that you're not running away at least. And I knew you had some type of fey in you. You're just to beautiful to be a normal human." He cleared his throat then. "Anyway. As I was saying, you've probably never come across one of my kind. I am a Sin. One of seven to be exact."
