I glanced up at her. "eh, i come during different times of the day." I layed back in my seat and glanced over at the counter with all the food. My stomach grumbled in hunger. I couldn't remember the last time I ate.

I went to the counter and bought some cinnamon rolls and muffins. I sat back down and pushed the food towards him. "I don't know what you like, so..." I said. The waitress came with our drinks and I sipped mine absently.

I got a confused look on my face. "You knew that I was hungry?" i asked. I thought that she was psychic, but i laughed inside my head and ignored that thought.

"Yeah. So what kind of foods do you like?" I asked him. I bit into a chocolate muffin.

"How did you know I was hungry?" I asked. "Oh, and I'm like a bottomless pit, I'll eat pretty much anything. But I love pizza and ice cream. Those have to be my favorite." I said, as I unraveled a cinnamon roll with my mouth.

"Lucky guess" I said. "I love ice cream. I can eat it anytime if I could. It's one of those foods you never get sick of, well, except for brain freezes." I said. "So, what do you do for a living?" I asked.

I glanced up at her, then i quickly looked away, and started to rub my left collar bone. I didn't know if i should tell her what i actually do for a living. Of course i don't get paid, but my rewards are within the city. I reluctantly said, "Oh, i don't have a job yet." "What about you?" i said, not giving her any time to say anything in between. I went into a slight daze, forgetting people were around us.

"I work at a bakery. Night shift actually, so that everything is ready for the morning." I said. "How old are you anyway?" I ask.

I snapped back into reality, without anyone noticing. Something didn't feel right. I tuned everyone out, and all i could hear was the water splashing against the rocks outside. The moon was very bright tonight. As someone lauged really loud, I popped back into reality again. "I'm 16, but most people think I'm a lot older." I said with a slight laugh.

"Wow, yeah. I would never had expected that. You seem mature for your age. Wait, shouldn't you still be in school?" I asked, shrugging off my coat.

"Yeah, I should still be in school. It's a long story" I said. I didn't know what I should say. Should I tell her the truth? Or should I lie to keep my secret? "Let's just say, I graduated early." I glanced down nervously.

"I have time. All I need to do is go home and sleep all day. Nothing too important. Specially since I have a steady source of caffeine." I said, raising my coffee. "You tell me your story, I'll tell you mine." I said. 'The edited version' I thought to myself.

I leaned back and laughed quietly to myself. To me, it seemed like a dare, since I really didnt want to say anything about it. "Let's not, and say we did." I said with a wink.

"Ok, ok. I understand. You have your secrets and I have mine." I said as I shrugged my shouldars. I was getting a little bored of this conversation.

I crossed my arms and put them on the table, as I looked outside. I sucked at continuing conversations. I could kinda tell she was getting kinda bored. But i wasn't too sure. I ran my hands through my hair. 'What should I say?' I thought. "So..." I said awkwardly
