I smiled when I noticed how hard he was trying. The only problem was I wan't the best at starting a conversation either. I looked at the phone and blinked in suprise. It was already four in the morning. The sun would be rising soon. I nibbled on my bottom lip, fighting with myself. Stay or go? Eventually, I knew I had to go. I stood up and put on my coat. "I'm so sorry, but I should really be getting home now. It was nice talking to you." I said.

I looked up at her with a face full of confusion. "Why do you have to go?" I said. I actually enjoyed her company.

I bit my lip when I met his gaze. He looked so sad. "I have to go home. It's getting pretty late. Or should I say early since it's 4 in the morning." I said, looking at my watch again. "Would you like to walk me home?" I asked, hesitantly.

My face lit up when she asked if I could walk her home. She really didn't seem like she wanted me to though. "I would love to, but aren't you supposed to be awake during the day, and asleep during the night?" I asked.

"Not with my night shift." I said, yawning loudly. "It kinda reverses things." I switched my weight from foot to foot as I stood there. "Come on. It's bad for a young girl to walk home alone. I need someone to watch out for me." I smiled, grabbing his wrist lightly and pulling at it.

I smiled slightly. As she pulled my wrist, I stood up and followed her out the door. i walked on the side of her wondering where her house was. for some weird reason, i wanted to put my arm around her. i couldnt figure out why, just an almost uncontrollable urge wanted me to. But i held back, not knowing what she would do if I did.

"Sometimes it gets really creepy walking home alone." I said, making small talk. I knew I could probably handle anything that came at me, but only by exposing myself. The streets were mostly deserted, leaving onlt us and the few strangers who were walking around aimlessly.

(( whats ur chars name again? ^^' ))
As I was walking along side her, I noticed some people were staring at me. I shot them looks and they quickly looked away. I was getting a weird feeling about something, and I glanced over to to see if she felt the same thing. I saw something different in her eyes, but it could have just been my imagination.

((It's Dawm, like in the title. I'm so proud. You actually posted!!! )) I was oblivious to anything around me except that somehow I had managed to convince myself to let an almost absolute stranger walk me home. Sure, I knew his name and some other little bits of him, but honestly, I didn't really know this persojn. What if he was crazy? A killer even? I mental bonked my head from my stupid choice. I tensed up a little when he looked at me. We hadn't talked yet, and the silence was a little unnerving.

(( haha i know right? its been forever... ))
I kicked a rock out onto the street. I had no idea what to say to her. I could tell she was...different. I just realized that I didn't know much about her. A sudden curiousity struck me. I touched the scar on my face, looked at her and said, "So what is your life story? How did you end up here?"

((Oh my gosh. Two in one week!!!))
"Well..." I said, trying to skim and scan what I should say before I did, making sure to not give him to much info that could come back to bite me. "I work for a bakery. I just moved here not so long ago, and don't really know the area yet, and don't have many people I know around here. I have a dog waiting for me back at home, but besides that, there's no one else." I said, proud at myself for keeping it short and sweet.

(( haha I know right? ))
I looked up at her and quickly looked away. "Aren't you lonely? What happened to your parents?" I asked, feeling interrogative. I noticed the sky got a shade lighter. 'How long have I been awake?' I thought. It seemed to be all night, but I didn't know the time.

"Mom died when I was little, and Dad was a hysterical and controlling, so I left him. It kind isw lonely at times, but I'm pretty good at it." I said.

"Wow, I'm so sorry." I said. I didn't know what else to say. I felt sympathetic but didn't know how to show it. "Is there...anything I can do to help?" I asked, trying not to sound too creepy.

"Not really. You don't have to apologize either, since you didn't do anything silly. Walking me home is pretty nice anyway. Thanks." I said, turning a corner and going up the stairs to my apartment complex. "So, yeah, thanks again. Maybe I'll see you around some time." I said, standing on the steps.
