"Oh, don't worry, i'm the only little winged creature around you tonight, darling." Alarissa assured him truthfully, there really were no other vampires around, just her. "The bats would just like some four legged beasts to get lost in the dark, is all, nothing more and nothing less." She crooned easily and then rolled her eyes and looked away from him. "I volunteered."

Lexi let out a little sigh, hoping she was telling the truth about her being the only one. He fixed his tie, keeping his calm composure. "What's to say I don't kill you now, or reject your offer? Maybe the pups have gotten to me already hmmm?" His grip on her leg spread a bit more up her body. "Sure I might get injured, but you're already in my grasp, I could easily do it." He glared, still a bit nervous.

"Those imbeciles haven't offered you a thing and I know it." Alarissa was still smiling. "We bats can be very generous to those that help us. Generous in many ways, money, power, woman... It's not as if we wouldn't make sure that the shadows remained pleased." She told him, watching him carefully, she was absently stroking the tabletop, to keep her mind off of the grip that was on her.

His grip stopped, though still held her. "What do you need from me? You must know we tried to stay out of this stupid feud for centuries; this war is pointless and has earned you nothing." He glared a bit "I have no need for money, I have a job. I don't need power, I already have more than enough." He found this conversation to be getting a little bothersome.

"We just want you on our side, a promise that you won't go and work with those mongrels. That's all is that so bad?" Alarissa asked innocently. "I do realize it's pointless in most senses... But in the hierachy of which species comes first and just who is better, it's very important." Or so she'd been told, she honestly didn't care much for the entire thing. "We'll give you whatever you want whenever you want it."

Lexi grumbled "I don't want to work for either side, I wanted to be left alone." His grip suddenly pulled away from her as he got up from the seat, heading to leave the restaurant. His mood was gone, wanting to head home, hopefully to hide out from this war.

She sighed and stood up, following after him gracefully. "Don't get so upset, Lexi, dear." Alarissa cooed as she caught up to him. "It's not working it's just a deal, you don't really half to do anything." She promised and ran her hand down his arm slowly.

Lexi kept moving, leaving the place and walking down the street with her. He glanced over to her, getting a full look at her again. He took a deep breath, looking away; it was hard to turn down a girl who looked that good. "I don't want to have to deal with vampire snobs or any laws or things like that." The streets were empty so it was safer to talk. He tried to sound confident and like he was the one calling the shots "I'm not a mutt like them, and I don't want to be treated as one."

"How rude you're being." Alarissa huffed and hooked her arm with his, leanig into him a little. "I have been ordered not to leave you until you're recruited... So I guess you'll either have to kill me or run away and hide from me." She rested her head on his shoulder, very relaxed.

Lexi bit his lip, having no choice but to stop as she leaned on him. He let out a long sigh. There was a long pause as he stopped to think. He scratched his head through his hat. "So, you're not going to leave until I say yes?" He looked down to her.

Her eyes looked up into his and she nodded slightly. "That's exactly right." She smirked, she'd follow him, track him down, bother him, do whatever she had to in order to get him to agree. If she didn't then she'd be punished, and she didn't want that.

Lexi smirked "Well I hope you like my place then." He began walking again, whistling a soft tune. "I don't have a spare bed so you'll have to share with me." He glanced back to her, grinning, "Oh, and I prefer to sleep in the nude." He laughed, still walking.

She huffed, releasing his arm and letting him walk away from her for a moment before she started to follow after him again. "I don't care how you prefer to sleep, I will stay with you until you are recruited." Alarissa promised, following away him, her head held high.

It took them a bit of walking down some streets before Lexi stopped in front of a rustic, mahogany wooden door. He smiled and tapped the door gently. "Hmmm..." He suddenly disappeared, a moment of silence before the latch on the door made a loud clack, opening slightly.

Alarissa watched, her face rather blank but her eyes altogether showing her minor agitation with him. Her hand pressed against the door and she pushed it opened, stepping inside and shutting it behind her. The vampiress sniffed in distaste slightly, she truthfully wasn't very angry though, actually, this was very exciting, it helped to at least amuse her for the time being.
