I laughed and dived under the wave, then grabbed her waist and started kicking as fast as I could downstream, in the direction of the house. I shifted my feet into long, broad, flexible flippers to assist in speed.

I leaned into him to keep the water from pushing against me. It still amazed me how he was able to shift so quickly and effortlessly almost.

I giggled. "Let me know when I get to your house," I said. Flo was warm. I liked swimming like this, with her in my arms, though I was and am not sure why. "Wanna see somethin cool?" I asked.

"I guess. Plus, we already passed my house." I said, pointing behind us.

"Alright. Hold on tight," I whispered in her ear. I turned around and sped up substantually, bursting out of the water. I was fourteen feet up when I started to shift. I decided on one of my favorites- a human-like body with white feathered wings. More than fifty feet up, I slid Flo off my shoulder and held her tightly, her facing away from me. "Quite the veiw, huh?" I whispered. "Now, which one is your house?"

I closed my eyes shut almost immediatly. "I'm a bit scared of heights." I said, refusing to open my eyes. I had felt as he had shifted behind me. How his skin moved, bones grew, muscles stretched. It was amazing, yet very unfamiliar.

"It's ok, I gotcha," I said. "Lemme find a place to land." I looked around. It is quite beautiful around this part of town, I thought. The sun was just getting ready to set, spewing rich reds and oranges across the scenery. Trees were candied with crrimson and gold. Not far from me, a flock of geese honked past, a testament to the season. Selecting a nice, broad outcropping of rock on a nearby cliff, I landed and set Flo down. "We're probably way out of those protective charms now, huh?" I asked.

"Yeah." I said, feeling better on solid ground, though I craved to go back to the water. It was like an animalistic draw to it everytime I felt scared or nervous. I usually studied for finals in the bathtube at home. "It's really pretty. I like your wings." I said, looking up at him, who still stood as I was sitting on the grass.

"Oh," I said, unsure of how to take a compliment. "Um, thanks." I turned to look back at the river. "It really is pretty. Breathtaking." I thought of my little cubbyhole back under the interstate. I should bring Jim up here sometime... "So I know you swim. What else do you do?"

"Alot of things." I said, smiling up at him while also refusing to give him anymore info about my in a kidding way.

"That was very nearly a helpful response," I said sarcasticly. "Anything in particular?"

"I will tickle you again if you don't tell me," I warned.

"That was just mean earlier." I Said, pouting. "The coffee really hurt. See! I have red marks." I said, pointing to my wrist. "No more tickling." I commanded.

"Well, that's no fun!" I whined. I jumped on top of her and tickled her anyway.
