Laela awoke late the next day, the rain still going strong. She sat up, stretching, and looked down at herself. She got out of bed and went to have another long, hot shower, and then went downstairs in the cleanest clothes she owned- which weren't all that clean- and found the lunch buffet open. She grinned and loaded up a few plates and ate what she wanted for now. She'd had a strange dream- about her dad before he'd died...She shrugged, thinking it was just one of those things, and moved on with her day, enjoying the fact she had a warm bed to sleep in and hot water to bathe under. She washed her clothes at some point- by hand, and sat around naked in the hotel until some of them were damp enough that it wouldnt' do any harm at all to use her ability to pull the water out of them and put it in the tub, and let it go down the drain. She laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling. "Man, I'm bored."
Finally, bored too much, she put on her ragged boots and headed outside with the change from yesterday and went walk around town on her own and let the hail pelt her head.

Darreth sat in the coffee shop, sucking down an expresso. Even though he hated the taste of the liquid he knew that he needed. Sighing deep he stared out into the rain filled streets.
He was crazy, that's the only exsplanation he had.
Clenching his fist tightly he turned to look out the window again and sat up straight, his eyes going wide.
She was out there, walking by the window.

Laela paused by the coffee shop- not seeing him inside. She counted her change and shook her head. She'd save it for something better- she could have coffee in the hotel. SHe walked past, going towards a store that sold Sushi. She had just enough for one plate, and she hadn't had sushi in forever.
Laela passed an alley-way full of suspicious people. She didn't pay attention to them, but two paid attention to her- they were seekers who kidnapped humans with special abilities, and she was a special.

Darreth threw down some money and hurried out of the shop, following her closely. He was totally insane. He should just turn and walk away; but he couldn't.
He watched her enter a sushi shop and stared at her from outside, then dunked around a corner as she finally left and began down a dark alley.
He had to follow her now; if something were to happen to her he would never be able to survive it. As he walked down the alley he found it was a good thing he had followed her, for two suspicious looking men had begun to follow her.

She had some leftover sushi from her treat, which made her happy. She walked along happily, but knew two men were following her after a few minutes. She picked up her pace, keeping a wary eye out for them.
After a few minutes, Laela had been herded into a dead-end alley, forcing her to turn and stare at the men who had herded her this way. She gulped as they began speaking to her. "Well, well, well. we thought you were long gone, Laela...You must be loving the rain with that nifty trick of yours," one said, taking a step closer to her and pulling out a tazor gun.
She gulped, watching them. She started to manipulate the water in the air, making little floating ice daggers pointed at them. THe sneered and paused in their steps, watching her with dark eyes. "You're going to come back- and you know it. Even if we have to tag you now, we'll bag you later," the other spoke, pulling out a tracking gun to shoot a tracking device at her. Laela could manipulate the water to escape- hence the tracking now and attack later scenario they were playing out.
She didn't like to hurt people, but she had done it before. She used the water on their clothes to momentarily confine the two men where they were- like a freezing them in place, and then she sprinted away, running as fast as her little legs carried her to wherever they carried her.

Darreth watched in shock as Laela did the most unexspected thing he could have thought of. After she dashed away he walked up to the men, frozen like ice. He could sense they're hearts still beating. They were still alive.
Completely confused he ran after her, and when he finally met her jerked her around.

She yelped in surprise and started to form an ice dagger, but halted immediately when she saw who it was. "D- Darreth?" she repeated, then hugged him tightly, happy to see him.

Darreth froze from her touch, his body doing a strange thing at her touch.

"I thought you had to work," she mumbled, moving away from him after a moment. Laela looked up at him, her heart rate going down.

Darreth drew away from her before she could touch her again. "No..with the water."

Laela froze, gulping. She didn't say anything or show him- yet. "Wh- what are you talking about?" she preteneded to not know. She was mostly concerned about who could be watching- back in the hotel room, she'd happily show him.

Darreth read her emotions easily and nodded, understanding that she was uncomfortable here. "Do you want to go somewhere more private?"
