She shot him a dirty look before angrily disappearing behind the numerous bookshelves and beginning the near impossible quest of finding the informations she needed. Mumbling to herself angrily, she said, "Well....who the hell cares about the damn history of the stupid whip.....i don't need to know all its stupid secrets.....if he would just get off his high horse and give me what I need instead of indugling in his power trip, I wouldn't be wasting time doing this......"

((how have your days off been?))
Jason went around his house for hours, sometimes coming in to grab a book she had missed to use if for a few moments, then hand it to her, and then leave. Jason had a training plan put together by 2 that afternoon, which left him with two hours to shower and change and get ready to visit his sister. Jason walked into the library after another hour, looking casual for a pleasant evening with his sister and her family. "Serenity, how is it going? You may finish up around 4, when I leave for dinner. I know you probably haven't eaten much, so would you care to join me and my sister's family for dinner?" he asked her as he approached her table. "Have you learned anything interesting, or have you just been flipping through books for a long time and waiting for me to excuse you?"

Looking first shocked by his invitation and then annoyed by his rude inference, she sighed in confusion. "Yes, actually I have. For your information, the history of whips dates back to the B.C. ages when they were used to preform acts of cruelty on disobedient slaves." she said, looking him strait in the eye. "And as for your invitation, I accept." she said, standing up. "But on one condition- promise me your sister is more of a conversationalist than you." she added, laughing lightly.

Jason made a face that was a mix between irritation, offense, and amusement. He nodded. "Yes, she is much more of one," he answered and turned to walk out. "Be ready in one hour." With that, he left the library.

Darting up to her room, she dumped her meager bag of belongings out on the bed, grabbing her bathroom toiletries and taking a 5 minutes shower. From there, she worked on hair and makeup, excited by the prospect of actually going out. Grabbing from her pile of clothes on her bed a white fitting yet causal summer dress, she slid on some sandals and spritzed herself with her favorite perfume, looking herself over in the mirror. *Too casual?* she thought to herself, finally conceeding she didn't have time to change again. Hurridely making her way down the stairs, she waited by the door, wondering to herself what he would be wearing. *Probably something black, the total opposite of me* she though to herself, laughing at the irony. *Perhaps it's a good thing I'm here, maybe I can show him the bright side to life*

((and ironically his home is very white, and open looking, lol))
Jason was down by the door, and as she had predicted, in all black but appeared surprisingly casual for someone who was usually a stickler. "Are you ready to depart?" he asked as he reached for the door. "You look very nice, by the way."

She gave him a suspicious look , waiting for the insults that always seemed to follow after any complimets he gave. Deciding not to approach the situation pessimistically, she said, standing up, "You too. And Yes." Wondering how Jason acted aroud his sister (or just other people in general), she excitedly followed his lead, being careful not to ask too many questions as not to annoy him.

He led her out to the limousine, and held the door open for her, then got in with her. THe drive to the restaurant took twenty minutes. He held the door open for her to get out and followed her inside. There was a reservation under his sister's name- Lilly. They were taken to the back where there was a decent sized table, and seated at it was one man and a child's jacket. THe man stood and went to shake hands with Jason.
The man was clearly Lilly's husband, but the size of him was rather...shocking. He was probably three times more muscular than Jason, but also the same height. He was in casual clothes that looked like they'd tear if he moved in one wrong way. Jason turned to the side and gestured to Serenity. "Xavier, this is my...student, Serenity, and Serenity, this is my sister's husband X-"
"Uncle Jason!" A little girl's squeal caused him to halt. Warmth and love filled the normally cold man's face as he knelt down to pick up a black haired, fair skinned child and pull her into a tight hug. "Uncle Jason, Uncle Jason! Guess what! I lost a tooth! I lost a tooth, and mama, mama said that...that...um, the tooth fairy would leave me a present- and guess what!"
"What?" he asked, smiling at his niece.
"She left me a whole dollar! I bought some candy! Will you eat some with me? Will you? You promised you would last time..."
Jason laughed and kissed her forhead, pulling her up into his arms and smiling warmly at Serenity, love lighting up his eyes. "Serenity, this is my beautiful niece Mikayla, and Mikayla, this is my student Serenity."
Mikayla reached out and tried to shake Serenity's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Ser-en-it-y. Mama!" The child- whose eyes were ice blue like Jason's- move to someone behind Serenity.
Jason's sister was a short woman, with long black hair pulled back into a pony tail and calm green eyes. She smiled at Serenity, the woman clearly much much much warmer than her older brother, and extended her hand out and smiled softly. There was an array of small scars, and one large scar on her face, and several more on her neck and arms. "It's lovely to meet you, I'm Lilly," she introduced herself while Jason entertained his niece and conversed with Xavier.

"Likewise," Serenity said, warmed by the family's friendly demeanour. "I'm Serenity." Curious about Lilly's scars but not wanting to make the situation akward by asking, she took a seat, resolving more so to observe than participate in the chatt'y family's conversation. Glancing at Jason, she wondered how he felt, seeing how happy his sister was with a family of her own. And the warmth he had shown the child almost seemed as though it were the feelings of a different person. *I guess we all have a weakness* she though to herself curiously. Paying keen attention to body language, she observed the interaction between the four, eager to learn more about her trainer.

Xavier pulled Lilly's chair out, kissing her head gently before sitting. Jason was constantly kept talking with the niece, love and care in every word he spoke to her. He'd tease her occasionally, making the child aroused and more rowdy. Xavier laughed and joined in, but Lilly was oddly stoic in the matter. So she turned to converse with Serenity. "So, Jason is teaching you?" she asked, question slow. Her language use was pointed, and she appeared to have to rehearse each sentence she spoke. Jason glanced up when he saw his sister speaking with Serenity, concern flashing in his eyes before he looked back to his niece who was fillling him in on her toy pony Melody.

Baffled by the Jason's odd reaction to the conversation between herself and his sister, she wondered if this was unusaual behvaior for Lilly. "Yeah, at least he's supposed to be." she said jokingly. "We actually haven't gotten into using weapons yet, instead he sent me to the library all day to read up on weapon history." Paying keen attention to Lilly's body language and tone, Serenity wondered why her words seemed so planned out.

Lilly hummed in thought for a few moments, then turned to Jason, and said something very odd. "Which punishment?" Jason glanced from Llilly to Serenity. Whips."
Lilly nodded and turned back to Serenity. "Why whips?" she asked. That strange little question to Jason was spoken in a language that most people were not familiar with.

"ummm..." she said, puzzled by the dialogue between brother and sister, "I guess you could say its of sentimental meaning to me....or at least what I need it for......why did you reffer to it as a punishment?"

"Hm?" Lilly was confused, then blushed darkly. "I meant weapon, I'm sorry.'' Jason looked a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, the waiter came by with some menus and water, and took apetizer and drink orders before heading off. Jason stood to go wash his hands, leaving Serenity alone with his sister's family.
Xavier smiled a wide, toothy grin at Serenity. "So a whip huh? Why does that have sentimental value to you?" His tone was, intentionally or unintentionally, a bit accusing. Mikayla crawled into her seat by Serenity and sipped her water as carefully as she could.

Shifting uncomfortably in her seat, she pciked up a glass of water, stalling for time. "Well.........um....." she looked away, then down at her hands. "Are you sure you want your daughter hearing all this."she asked, glancing at Mikayla. Not waiting for her to answer, she added, "Why is Jason so upset about the both of us talking?"
