"No." she said, looking up at him. "Your not supposed to be the one telling me that! You're the one that needs comforting, not me." she said, scolding herself inwardly for her selfishness. "I'm so sorry for what you've been through, Chino. Your life seems to just have been one neverending tragedy, one eternal night. But it doesn't have to stay that way for you Chino. I want to bring you into the light, if you'll let me." she said hopefully.

"Okay." he said looking her. She was putting him thorugh a culture shock is what she was actually doing. The one thing that kept him sitting with her in his arms was the fact that she might freak out if he tried to push her away or something like that.

Sensing his tension, she said, "The process will be very slow. I know your scared, but in the end, it will be worth it- trust me." she said, smiling at him brightly. "Would you like me to start out with a tour of the house?" she asked, hoping that wouldn't be too much for him.

Moving away from him, she stood up, leading him through her house, which only consisted of 5 rooms. "This is the kitchen.....the bathroom.....my bedroom.....the living room....and the guest room." she said, the tour only taking her about a minute or two. "Definately not as big as your mansion," she said, laughing lightly, "or as nice. But its kind of got that cozy feel to it." she said, smiling.

He felt relief the moment that she released him fomr her grasp. He followed her through the house and listened to her talk. "I really like it." he really didn't care that it wasn't as big as a mansion. "It is really nice here, and not too big or small." it was just right actually.

"Yes," he said. "I am tired. You?" making sure she was as well. He wasn't really tired because he couldnan't sleep, but he could pretend.

"Yeah." she said, yawning and rubbing her eyes. "Can I get you anything before you head off to sleep?" she asked, blinking her eyes a few times to stay awake.

Blushing as she heard the word darling come out of his mouth, she mumbled , "Ok then, you know where I am if you need me," before dissapearing into her room, changing into her pj's and drifting into a deep sleep.

He shut the door behind him. He thought to lock it, but thought better of that. It wans't his home after all. He looked around the guest room and sighed. He still had to smile at himself though. He started to wonder why he did ever agree to this. He wlaked over and sat on the bed. Maybe she was right and he needed to change, but that could also be a problem. He would make ties and it would hurt more having to break them when it was time for him to move on. He folded his arms around his chest.

Serenity dreamt of Chino that night, of him walking with her in the sun, reaching up towards it and smiling freely. She whispered his name a few times, just as she did in the dream.

FF-next morning.
Chino ahd laid in the bed for most of the night. He did get up and pace the room. He hoped he was quiet enough as to not wake Serenity. He looked out of the window, and studied his surroundings for awhile.
Now it was morning, and he was waiting for her to wake up. He wondered what she would do.

Waking up around 8 a.m., Serenity slowly got up, making her way to Chino's room. Knocking before she entered, she waved to him cheerfully. "Good morning. How did you sleep?" she said, plopping down onto his bed.
