"It's always a possibility..." he said, his voice trailing off as he appraised the area. It seemed safe enough, the inhabitants seemingly normal and the buildings middle-class. "Why? You're not looking for trouble are you?" he asked, thinking that sounded exactly like something she would do. Thankful she hadn't noticed him flinch, he shoved his hands into his pockets, looking down and concentrating on the task they had ahead of them today. Not looking up, he said, "So, do you know who were supposed to be meeting with to show us around?" he asked, hoping if he kept things all business he wouldn't have any of those unwelcome thoughts.

"Some manager of a company around here, that's about all I know." She explained and laughed at herself, rubbing the back of her neck, lazily. "I hate getting up early and then having to walk around, it sucks..." Faye was muttering this under her breath now, just talking to herself. Sighing softly she wondered if they'd be able to stay at a nice place while they were in this city.

Taking out the papers he'd brought with him that detailed the instructions for their assigned task during their stay here, Kreon looked around before saying, "Well, according to these, the building were supposed to find is in the south side of town. Were supposed to meet with a man called Thomas Eklin and he'll show us around the city. Apparently he's already been informed of our comming and should have already created a layout plan." he said, shifting through the papers. "Well..." he muttered, stretching his arms. "I guess we better get a cab, unless you'd like to waste more time walking."

She gave him a glare from behind her fringe, but kept grinning, acting as if she weren't annoyed with him and his opinions and assumptions of her. "It's your decision if we take a cab or not." Faye responded, her voice having a slight edge to it, but still sounding it's usual soft, airy tone. "You already made it clear that you were going to be the one in charge before we went into the portal and got here."

"Well, I was just trying to be a little more accomodating for you." he said, noticing the edge to her tone. Not waiting for her to hurl out another one of her smart remarks, kreon hailed a cab, getting in on the other side and waiting for her to get in before giving the man the adress to the partner building they were supposed to be meeting the overseer at. Once they arrived, Kreon was silent as they approached the building, not wanting to argue with Faye in front of the business partners. Once the two entered the building, they were lead to a small plainly decorated room and told to wait there. Twenty minutes later, a short man dressed in a busines suit entered, cursing profanities under his breath as he did. The man looked to be in his late 40's, his red hair receeding, creating a shiny bald spot near the front of his forehead. "Well, hello." he said once he had seen Faye, completely ignoring Kreon and taking a few steps towards Faye. "If they had told me it was a pretty woman that was waiting for me, I wouldn't have taken as long." he said, winking at her. Kreon cleared his throat, attempting to stifle his laughter at the man's tacky pickup line.

Faye sat there, momentarily stunned by the mans compliment of her, a very pleasent smile slid onto her light lips and she stood up respectfully and straightened herself out a little before holding her hand out for the man to shake. She gave a quiet laugh, "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. My name is Faye Allase." She glanced over to Kreon, noticing how he was trying to hide his laughter, she rolled her eyes and moved her attention back to the man in front of her. "We didn't really mind the wait at all, by the way, you didn't take to long." Faye let out a charming laugh.

Noticing the way Faye smiled at the man, a very different emotino suddenly ovecame Kreon- much different than his initial humor. A curious burning feeling made a way into his chest as he momentarily saw red. His fists clenched and every muscle in his body tensed as he physically placed his body between the two. Clearing his throat, he turned to the man and said, "Lets keep this professional." Standing about a foot taller than the man in fron of him, Kreon glared down at the man. "Leaning around Kreon, the man again layed eyes on Faye and said humorously, "Well, I'm sure he's just tons of fun to work with."

"Oh yes, he's very fun to work with." She joked back and smiled at the man again, trying to not let Kreon ruin the good business relationship that was beginning to sprout between the man and her. Faye was truthfully very shocked with what Kreon had just done, she didn't understand why he would do something like that, though... She couldn't help but feel satisfied that he had stopped the non-serious 'flirting' that had been going on. Faye laughed quietly, "Well, I guess we should really be getting down to business, shouldn't we?"

"Yes." Kreon said curtly, his eyes never leaving the man. He was an enemy to him, someone who's prescence in his life needed to be alleviated A.S.A.P. "Very well." the man said, winking at Faye again before leading the two out of the room they were in and into a large office. Going over to a desk in the corner and filing through a stack of papers, he eventually handed the two a statistical analysis of the area's overall economy, import profits, export profits, and the items being imported and exported. After giving the two a moment to view the data, the man said, "Well, i guess I should probably show you around now," obiviously only speaking to Faye.

She looked over all of the data that wa given to them and nibbled at her bottom lip, she took everything in, making sure to remember important parts. "Yes, that'd be lovely if you could show us around." Faye replied kindly and smiled at him, unable to help herself, this man was nice and humourus, two good qualities. I wonder where we'll be staying... I wonder if Kreon and I will have to share a room... Mm, hopefully if we do it'll be a big sort of place, maybe penthouse, since we're important people... Sort of. She thought, all she really wanted to do was lay in a room, smoke some weed and relax, but work came first, she knew that for sure.

*Lovely?* he thought to himself, anger welling up inside of him. *Since when does Faye use words like 'lovely'? Boy, she's really warming up to him.* he thought, supressing the urge to pummel the man. *What the hell is wrong with me? I have no reason to hate this man.* Kreon reminded himself, attempting and failing to extinguish the anger within him. "This way." the man said, going to lead the two out of the room and into a community Vehicle. Kreon made sure to sit in the fron seat beside the man, not wanting Faye to have any more opportunities to warm up to the man. *Hell, if the two of them get any warmer, I'm gonna have to get a fucking fire extinguisher.* Leon thought angrily as he caught the man turning back to Faye and winking at her before beginning to drive.

At the moment Faye extremely enjoyed having her eyes completely hidden by the long fringe of her that finished at the top of her cheeks, and she enjoyed this because it allowed her to stare at Kreon secretly without being noticed, it also allowed her to be confused without being caught. She wondered if he was mad because she was getting all of the business mans attention and he was getting none, she mentally snorted. That must be it, he's pissed off because i'm getting more attention then he is. The woman thought and straightened up in her seat, she still had that ever enjoyable smile on her lips, she didn't want to suggest to either of the men that anything was annoying her at all.

Drivinng the two around and giving them a complete tour of the area, the balding man continued to look back at Faye from time to time and cast her suggestive glances. Each time he did, Kreon would clear his throat and tell the man to keep his eyes on the road, his tone curt and stiff. Eventually, they ended up back at the partner building. Getting out of the car, the man opened Faye's door for her before motioning for her to stop. Leaning against the side of the car, Kreon watched as the two conversated. "So, ya doin anything tonight?" the man asked, looking Faye up and down. "Actually," Kreon said, clearing his throat, "She is. Were going to diner." Glaring the man down, Kreon moved foreward, making the man take a few steps back. "So, unless you'd like a black eye and a bloody nose, I suggest you keep your eyes and hands to youself."

Her eyes snapped over to Kreon when he said this and her smile disappeared, her lips parting in shock. "Don't listen to him." Faye said quickly and moved over to the business man, getting in between them so that Kreon wouldn't do anything. "I'm apologize, but he's right about me being busy tonight, lot's to do with work... And apparently dinner too." She gave the man in front of her a friendly smile, being as polite as she could in this tense situation. Faye turned to face Kreon and crossed her arms over her chest, shaking her head at him, clearly annoyed with his lack of respect for their business partner.

"Don't give me that look." Kreon said, noting Faye's annoyed look. To be honest, he was just as annoyed with himseld as she was. He had no idea where his odd behavior had come from, all he knew was that it wasn't like him to feel such strong hate towards someone he didn't even know. Ontop of that, he had acted like a total jackass to the man, conducting himself unprofessionally at best. "We'd better get going before all the good resteraunts fill up for the night." he said, turning away from Faye more to hide his embarrasment than anything else.
