His smile widening even more in reaction to now knowing her name, Aaroe repeated her name, "Corinne....thats a beatiful name." Taking her hand in his, he pressed her hand to his lips gently while still looking at her. "My name's Aaroe." Gently releasing her hand, he said, "So do you know Megean, or are you a friend of a friends?" he asked, wanting to know what she was doing at this party considering she appeared to be more of the studious type than the partyine type.
"That's nice that your the designated driver and all, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun." he said, smiling at her. "So, what's your name, pr-" Scyther was cut off mid sentence as hand grabbed him by the shoulder and whipped him around. "Back to your old ways, I see." the man said, his voice dark and deep. The man stood at about 6 feet, with thick, senewy muscles that were covered by a tight fitting black t-shirt and some type of foreign language tattoed on his right forearm. His hair was jet black comming down chin-level and falling across parts of his face in messy sections. His eyes were an unusual black, his facial structure more ruggedly handsome than beautiful as Aaroe's were. As his eyes drifted across the two women, they came to rest on Alexis. He didn't say a word, his eyes making contact with hers without falter.

She smiled shyly at the way he kissed her hand. "Oh, it's...I like your name...It sounds very elegant," she mumbled to him, still smiling. "Oh! Megan...well..." Corinne put a hand to her forhead in embarrassment, then dropped it into her pocket. "We went to school together. She's one of my few friends. How do you know her? Or are you a friend of Jack's- he's the...orange-eyed fella over there." SHe pointed, unsure if he was up to speed on the existance of vampires.
If he had been about to call her princess, she would have broken the glass and cut him. She looked downright riled up. Alexis relaxed when another man stopped him, and she looked up at the man, blinking curiously. Now there were two penises around her. I need another drink. she thought and put out her smoke.

"Yeah." Aaroe said, hoping this would spare both of them the whole 'vampire's exist' conversation. "Jack's a good friend of mine." After a moment of silence, he added, "I'm assuming you came out of politeness, considering the fact that you don't seem to be enjoying the party all that much." After another pause, he said, "Hey, would you like to go for a walk outside, theres a park nearby." he said, hoping the two of them could manage to get some privacy. Hell, even the grocery store had been more private than this.
"Hey, c'mon dude. Your crowding my territory." he said, motioning to Alexis. "I have no interest on invading your territoy." the man said, just as much of a statement to her as it was to him. "I simply find her interesting." he answered earnestly, moving to the edge of the opposite wall after a pause, the man kept his eyes locked on Alexis, observing her from stance against the wall. "Sorry about that little interruption." Scyther said, returning his attention to Alexis. "Where were we?" he asked, his smile returning.

Corinne thought for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, let me just tell Alexis though...She's my caretaker and..." She flushed. "Wow, I sound like a child." SHe didn't explain that comment yet. "I'll be right back."
Alexis watched the two men state their intentions and she narrowed her eyes at both of them. Her cell phone buzzed and as she checked the other man was moving away. "I was leaving," she answered and moved away. She met up with Corinne seconds later. "Hey, I've gotta go- work- but I'll leave the car here and stuff since it's not a far walk. Be careful." She dropped the keys in her hands and then left without a second glance. Corinne blinked and went back to Aaroe. "OKay, lets go for a walk."

"Okay." Aaroe said, surprised at how open she had been to going walking in the middle of a park at night alone with a stranger she'd met in the supermarket. Maybe she could somehow sense that he wouldn't ever let any harm come to her. Taking her hand in his, he lead her back to the door, carving a path through the crowd for her.
Sighing in dissapointment, Scyther scanned the crowd of partiers, determined to have some fun tonight even if this was the second time he had been rejected today.
Trent watched Alexis leave, knowing by the look in her eyes that she was dealing death again tonight. He had encountered her kind too many times before to not be able to recognize the look she had in her eyes. She was going to kill again, not because she necessarily enjoyed seeing others dead, but if he had to guess, he would bet it was because killing was the onyl thing that made her feel alive. She'd definately had a rough life, although he wasn't sure exactly all she'd been through. Propping himself up off the wall, he followed her out of the building and into the darkness.

Corinne smiled and held his hand back, feeling soothed. She hadn't been with a guy...In a long time. It was nice to be with one again. And this one was so kind, and handsome, and he seemed to be intelligent...She flushed at her thoughts.
Alexis walked a few streets before stopping outside an alley to talk with a man dressed like a bum. He handed her a folder, and then she hailed a taxi. Her mission was on the other side of town.

Leading her out into the open night, he inhaled deeply, glad to get some fresh air. "So, do you live with your...ah, sister?" he asked, guessing Alexis and her must have been related despite the obvious physical differences. He figured he'd start slow and just get to know her to make her more comfortable with his presence.
As Trent watched her get into the taxi, his eyes shifted, contemplating confronting the man dresed like a bum for a minute before deciding it would be better to keep a low profile. He didn't need atention beign drawn to him, especially seeing as what he has just gotten out of. Walking the few blocks back to his apartment, he decided he'd have to contact his associates at the party to obtain the phone number and location of the black-haired woman.
Scyther spotted a pretty brunette in the far corner, quickly making his way over to her and flirting. Before long, the two were making out against the wall, taking breaks ever so often to dance and drink beer.

"Nope, my friend. Is that flirt your brother, or is he just a friend as well?" she asked, smiling at him and intaking the cleaner air. "I like how it smells after rain," she commented with a grin.
Alexis was indeed going to kill some people, but she was also going to be taking in a child to care for. The details of her mission would be disguised as a gang-related murder, and the child would be unnamed and 'put into foster care.'

"Me too." he agreed, looking up at the sky. "And god no, Scyther isn't my bother- we're just good friends." he explained, laughing at the fact that she had reffered to Scyther as a flirt. "Do you have any siblings?" he asked, knowing family was always the best first place to start when you were trying to get to know somebody.
After having his fun with the brunette, Scyther hailed a cab and headed home. He knew he was too wasted to drink, and that if he even tried to Aaroe would skin him alive.

Corinne was silent for a moment in thought. "I'm a, uh, fraternal twin. I have a brother..." Her eyes skirted around the area before settling on his face. "He ran away less than two years ago. What about you?"

"I'm sorry for your loss." he said sincerely, knowing it was painful to loose any member of your family, let alone a twin. "I have a brother...." he said, his features tensing up at the mention of his brother. It was definately a sore subject that he tried to avoid a most costs, although he reminded himself he was the one that had brought family up in the first place. "Thats pretty much it as far as siblings go. What about your parents?" he asked, obviously wanting to know why her friend Alexis semmed to have taken on the role of a gaurdian instead of Corrine's own parents.

"I've never met my father, and my mother is in a coma in the hospital. Alexis was her closest friend, I'm guessing..." She didn't mention she had one relative- a funny uncle. Corinne looked away. She hated talking about her miserable life. "What happened with your brother?" she asked, having noted his tenseness. "And what about your family?"

"I'm sorry about your mother....and your brother." he said, reflecting on how hard of a life she had led. He had not expected it, perhaps her kindness had made him unfairly assume that life had been kind to her in return. Apparently not. "You seem to have led a hard life, filled with many hardships and losses that you were unfairly burdened with. The loss of not one, but two loved ones weighs heavily on the heart." After a moment of silence, he adressed her other question. "Ahh, my family and I have grown distant over inserpasable differences." he said, the words comming out more as a pained whisper than anything else. His family was perhaps both his greatest source of pain and the one thing in life he desired the most. It was complicated, especially for someone who didn't understand the politics of the world that he had grown up in.
Aftering running a solid ten miles strait, Trent slowed to a jog, trying to catch his breath. He needed to work of this extra energy, this pent up tension. It had always been like this- physcological turmoil released through physical means. Alexis's image flashed through his mind yet again as he took to running again. He recognized her from long ago- he could never forget those eyes of hers. About 15 years ago, they had been friends- best friends. He'd known about her parents, about the hard life she'd led. He'd also had an immense crush on her. He'd comforted her when her father had come home drunk and beaten on her, or when her mother had just watched instead of doing anything. He'd tried to come over a few times and protect her from her fathers violent habits, but that hadn't gone over so well. When she'd left, he'd been broken hearted. He'd tried for years to find out where she'd gone-to somehow see her again, but every lead he'd followed had ended up being a dead end. Seeing her again after all these years....she'd become so cold. He'd figured as much, after all she had been through. It was a traqedy, really, how life had changed her. And she hadn't even recognized him- he wondered if there was any part of the first girl he'd evern fallen in love with all those years ago left. All he knew was that he had to find out, he had to speak to her again. She had looked at him like he was some type of vile, disgusting creature- something to be feared and regarded with hate. Whipping out his phone, the caller on the other end gave him the adress his sources indicated she lived at. Jumping into his car, he sped back to his apartment. She sure as hell wasn't going to see her all sweaty.
Once Scyther got back to the apartment, he passed out and crashed for the night, a corona bottle still in his right hand.

She felt her heart beating strongly in her chest at his beautiful words. She could listen to him talk all day long if she had to. Her eyes filled with sympathy at what had happened with his family. "I'm so sorry. It seems we both have been dealt an unfair hand," she murmured and looked up at the moon. She took his hand again, and glanced up at him to see if that was okay- she liked touching him.
Alexis finally got home and held the door open for the new housemate. She texted Corinne saying they had one more living with them. The girl was no more than 13 years of age, and scrawny as hell. She had a rich dark skin tone and purple eyes and straight black hair. Her parents had been dumbfucks who were also cruel- and Alexis could relate. But she'd been given a good name, while this poor child was named after a motorcyle. "Harley...Um...I have one other spare guestroom, so I guess that'll be your room..." She scratched her head. Her and Harley were the same height, which made her feel short. Harley nodded and moved away from Alexis- the poor thing wouldn't look up at her, and she didn't understand why yet. After showing her to her room, Alexis showered and went and turned on the news. Nothing yet, so it'd be on in the morning or something. She quickly flipped it to an anime marathon on the Funimation network. She wore a flimsy blue camisol for a pajama top, and baggy cherry pajama bottoms that covered her feet. Her toes had the remains of red nailpolish. She laid back on the couch and watched with a vacant face as beautiful characters fought each other and said weird things.

"Yes..." he said, his eyes drifting to where her hand had made contact with his and then back again. Her skin was so silky soft- so smooth. He tightened the grip of his hand around hers while still being gentle, glancing up towards the sky to follow her gaze. "Do you like the moon?" he asked, wondering if it was possible that she might be a werewolf. He realized he hadn't asked her the two basic questions- what species she was, and how old she was. They were both very important, especially if he intended to pursue a relationship with her- not that it would stop him from doing so if he didn't get the prefferred answer.
After showering, Trent put on some blue jeans and his usual black t-shirt before combing out his hair and heading out. After about ten minutes, he arrived at the adress his sources had given him. After taking a deep breath, he got out of his car and headed up the walkway. Pausing when he got to the door, he gathered up his courage before delivering three solid knocks to the door.
