((that's okay. )) Cassie sniffled. "He left- went home," she answered and went to wash her dish. "Leave me alone, okay...I just need to think..." "Oh, so you like your women quiet?" she asked, glaring at him. She implied many things sexual, but also in a household sense. "I suppose I should apologize for not cooking all by my self for you then, huh?" she muttered, glaring at her work. She was accusing him of being the 'Man's man.' "They're both adopted- so they click with each other in ways we didn't. Probably just a squabble. As for the egg thing-" She winked and shrugged. "Stephen's the magician, not me." Meaning, 'I know, but I can't tell a magician's secret.' "I'm not hungry," she answered. She wasn't either. "Besides, if I eat now, I could miss out on eating a blessed dinner with the church this evening..." She paused, thinking. "Please eat it all...Maybe next time I'll split it with you- I won't eat lunch tomorrow or something so we can split it..." She had a sizeable lunch normally, so she usually wasn't hungry. She was also a closet snacker- using bathroom trips to nibble at 'Satan's Candy.' She loved lollipops, but they were too suggestive, so they were forbidden to eat in her home.

Race sighed, backing away from his adopted sister. "All right, whatever you want." Sighing, Race wished to himself as he had many times before that he and the other triplets were closer to his adopted siblings. Turning back to Elise, he explained what weas going on. "See, Stephen and Cassie are adopted." he explained in a hushed tone so that only the two of them could hear. "The two of them, I guess they kinda feel like outsiders cause they don't have the same parents as us, but thats not the way we feel- well, at least not me. I just wish they would realize that blood is what makes someone your brother or sister." he explained , sighing.
Jamming down on the gas, Stephen was releaved when he pulled up in front of his house and saw his parents car gone- they must've gone in to the city to stock up on groceries. They sure as hell went through a lot of food in their house with 5 hungry growing teenagers, three of them werewolves. Stepping out of his car, Stephen stopped dead in his tracks as he spotted a man he didn't recognize sitting on the front porch. God, he wasn't in the mood to play friendly today. "Who are you?" Stephen asked, walking up to the man. They never got unexpected visitors like this, not with them living out in the middle of a forest. He didn't like the vibe he got from this guy, not at all.
"No, actually, I like my girls defiant- like you. Who wants someone who just sits there? Although, with what comes out of your mouth most of the time, you might incline me to change my preference." he joked. "Naw, I'd rather have a girl with an attitude than one of those submissive housewives type any day. " He said, smirking. ""Besides, I know how to cook- so you don't need to. "
"Ahh, that explains why you guys look nothing like Cassie or Stephen." Eric said, a look of understanding crossing his face. "So, uh, you don't have any magic tricks up your sleeve?" he asked playfully. *Cause I'm definately under you spell* He thought, keeping the last part to himself.
"I wouldn't want you to deny yourself for my sake." Greg said in response to her offer not to eat lunch in order to split the food they made during class with him. He looked down at the omelette they had made together, taking a few bites from it. "So, what does this blessed dinner that your fasting in preparation for consist of?" Greg asked, slight amusement in his voice. Her commitment to the theory of god was strong, and she appeared very attached to the church she went to - it was cute, in a mortal, innocent sort of way.

Elise nodded and started to put things away to clean. "It's almost time to go," she mumbled, unsure how to react to the story of his family. That was sad- the thing about Stephen and Cassie and Race's feelings. She wondered what happened to both of their parents. "Are Stephen and Cassie related?" she asked him as she finished and gathered her things up. She rode the bus home.
Cassie cleaned up quickly once she had finished eating and then headed out early. She wanted to get home quick and check on Stephen. She got in her car and left a note on Alex's saying- 'Please give Hillary a lift. I have to check on Stephen.' Hillary didn't have a car yet. She drove off quickly, arriving home ten minutes after Stephen did.
She finished cooking and then cleaned up. Robin split the food in half and ate quickly, and then she headed to the door to get out of the class as soon as possible. She was so not going to let herself be friends with Alex. No way...Okay, maybe way, but she wasn't going to admit it. She sighed sadly to herself. Gotta work hard tonight...Get money and warm place to sleep.
Hillary gave him a haughty look. "I can think up a few if you'd like," she whispered and kissed his cheek. "Lets clean up- No pancakes. Class is almost over by the looks of it." She shrugged.
"I'm not fasting. I had lunch and breakfast. And dinner at my house is always blessed," she answered. Sam couldn't help but notice how fast he ate the omelet. "...We're having a church dinner on Friday, if you'd like to come...There will be lots of food..." she offered, wondering if he lived in a poor home.

"Naw, but hey. I have my own car, do you just want to maybe grab some dinner and then we can go strait to the race?" he asked, figuring it didn't make much sense for the both of them to go home and eat and then for him to pick her up again. "What kind of food do you like?" he asked, trying to map out the closest fast food resteraunt in his head.
By the time Cassie had arrived at the house, Stephen had learned that the man sitting on the front porch was his father- and had apparently decided that he wanted to raise him 17 years too late. Stephen had gone into full flame mode, fire stretching from the tips of his fingers to his inner chest and reducing his shirt to ashes. Damon, who had gotten equally angry, was fully engulfed in flames from head to toe- like father like son. The two men looked like they were about to go to blows, neither of them noticing when Cassie pulled up.
Alex watched Robin leave, a small smile on his face. She was definately not what he had expected- but in a good way. Picking his stuff up, he jogged the rest of the way to his car only to find he had to wait till Hillary showed up so he could give her a ride home.
His cheek tingled where Hillary had kissed him, a silly smirk creeping onto his face despite his best efforts. God, she made his heart skip a beat.......something Jessica never did to him. And that kiss- well, it certainly didn't feel like only friends to him, but hey, he supposed she was probably this friendly with everyone. After all, she was nice and playful- a combination easily mistaken for flirting.
Greg and churches didn't mix for numerous reasons- mainly because he was a vampire, and therefore began to smoke when he entered churches because of all the wooden crosses inside of the building- but also because it was a misrepresentation of his beliefs- not that he mided indulging Samantha's belief in god. He was pretty sure, though, if he saw the right people between now and friday, he could purchase the right charm to protect against wooden crosses- the bigger problem was comming up with the money between now and then. He supposed he could mug a few drug dealers- the very scum of any prosperous society- though he wasn't fond of the idea. He didn't interact with most humans- he found them aggrivating and ignorant at best- Sam was an extremely rare exception. He embraced his life as a vampire- living among his kind for the most part, which only heightened his animal impulses- this, of course, caused complications such as the blood-finger one they encountered earlier. If he expected to remain in her company without jumping her every time she bled or turned him on, he knew he was going to have to cut back on keeping vampire company. "Alright. " Greg nodded, accepting her invitation. "I would be honored to attend church with you." He couldn't help but smile, imagining what her church friends might say when they saw her with him. He'd love to give them a little scare and bare his fangs just for the hell of it, but that definately wouldn't get him anywhere with Samantha.

"Don't you and your twins have detention after school?" she asked, smiling at him and shaking her head. "But if not, then I'd love to get some grub. I eat anything," she answered and rubbed her stomach happily. She smiled at him happily, excited at being able to go out with such a cool, attractive guy.
Cassie bolted when she saw two flames. "Ohmygosh, Stephen? What's going on? What are you doing?" she asked and ran towards the smaller of the flames, wondering who or what the other one was to have enraged him to the point of full flame. She didn't realize how close she was.
Hillary arrived at Alex's car shortly after class was over. She pouted at getting the ride from her brother, but shrugged. "Guess Cassie was super worried about Steph, huh?" she conversed and smiled at her brother. "You have a gig tonight, right? And Race is racing? How much money you want to bet when we get back it'll smell like sex at home?" she asked, poking a joke at her overly-sexed parents.
"Okay, here's the address. It's friday after sunset," she said and wrote the address down as she pulled her backpack up to her arms. She smiled. "It'll be lots of fun, and the teenagers can sleep in the church overnight and watch movies, listen to music, and read verses...It's really fun." Okay, so the eating part was outside since it was supposed to be good weather, but there was a big sleepover for both boys and girls- oddly- inside the church. She'd gone every year as a hostess.

"Aww frick ." Race cursed to himself. "Ahh well, she obviously already hates me. One missed detention isn't gonna change that. " Shrugging as he reached into his backpack and pulled out his red and black leather motorcycle jacket that matched his read and black leather sports racing bike. "Here." he said, handing her the color coordinating red and black helmet. "For you." he said, winking as he handed her the helmet. "So, we have chinese, italian, american- basically anything you can think of around here. Where'd you like to eat?" he asked as he got onto the motorcycle, looking back at her as an indication for her to get on. "So, have you ever been on a motorcycle before- cause your gonna have to hold on tight to stay on." he added, grinning.
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE CASSIE!" Stephen yelled, his voice much darker than normal and his pupils dialted so that his eyes were completely black. "THIS IS NONE OF YOUR GOD DAMN BUSINESS!" Stephen's eyes were focused on his father, not seeing how close Cassia actually was as the flames engulfing his body expanded even further and grew even hotter. Damon, also enraged, took a few steps forward, pushing his son backwards. Exthending his arms in an effort to keep his balance, Stephens right hand made contact with Cassie's neck. Not realizing he was touching her, his fingers latched around her neck as he tried to keep himself from stumbling backwards. Turning to see what he had grabbed onto, Stephen's face turned to horror as he watched Cassies skin burn as his flames melted her flesh. Immediately letting go, Stephen stumbled backwards and fell to the floor, looking up at her in horror. "Oh....god.....Cassie......"
"Aww, man , Hillary! I did not need that visual in my head- I've walked in on the two of them enough times to know that they don't always wait for us to leave to go at it." Shaking his head, Alex go into his car. "So, are you gonna come and see me sing tonight? Be a little moral support, maybe. You could bring a date if you want- speaking of, whats up with you and that Eric guy. Isn't he...I don't know....a little too strait laced for you?"
"Sounds like it will be an interesting night." Yeah, if interesting meant worse than any form of torture he'd experienced so far in his eternal existence- which was saying something, considering his past. Sighing as he heard the bell ring, Greg stood up but stayed by Samantha's side. "Perhaps, since you have invited me to something you enjoy participating in, maybe you would like to accompany me to a social gathering that will....be a healthy contrast to your normal activities?"

Elise took the helmet and slid it on, snapping it on tight and shaking her head. "No, I haven't been on one before," she said and got on behind him. SHe slid her arms around his chest and held on tightly and waited for him to start. He'd get a great feel of her breasts and body.
Cassie hesitated, and she hesitated one second too long. She saw the hand bolt out for something before she felt it, and when she felt her own flesh burning and its smell stung her nose, she screamed and struggled, tugging on his arm and burning her hands and arms in the process. He finally let go and she fell to the ground, letting out horrible sounds of pure agony. She didn't think to heal herself, her mind was stuck on the pain she felt in her neck.
Hillary snorted in laughter and got buckled up. "Sure, I'll come and watch ya. No dates though...And Eric is taken. He's just a friend right now..." She said casually and sighed. "He's hot though, you've got to admit...And straight laces are the easiest to untie," she joked and winked.
Samantha looked up at him, thinking for a second she nodded. "Sure, that would be fun....what would we be doing?" she asked, looking towards the door for a second before back to him.

"Wow." Race laughed, more at the feel of her breasts pressing up against his back than at the fact that she had never been on a motorcyce before. "So, you go for a good old-fashioned cheesburger with fries and a shake? You sound like my type of girl." he said, propelling the bike foreward as he started off towards Carls Jr.
All the flames on Stephen's bodie immediately vanished as fear and horror overcame him. He couldn't speak coherently, couldn't even stutter. He opened his mouth to say sorry, but no words came out. Turning to the left, he found very little relief in the fact that his parents had just arrived home. Jumping out of the car before it came to a complete halt, Hayven rushed to his daughters side. "Cassie...man, these burns are bad. Colby! I need your help over here." he said, contemplating whether to take her to the ER or treat her at home. He knew sooner or later someone would piss Stephen off enough to where he'd end up burning them, but he'd never expect it to be Colby. She was the closest person to him in the house. Looking up, Hayven froze as he laid eyes on his brother- the brother he hadn't seen in over 17 years. Jumping up, Stephen could only think of one thing. Killing Damon- with his bare hands. He was the reason he had stumbled back and burned Cassie. Lunging at his fatherm, Stephens whole body became one huge flame as his fists made contact with his Dad's face. Damon did his best to hold his son back, though he landed a few good strong hits feuled by rage. Finally, though, he overpowered his son, twisting his arms behind his back and pinning him on the ground. Ignoring the slur of profanities comming out of Stephen's mouth, Damon turned to the girl that had been burned, hoping she was alright.
Eric shook his head as he began driving home. "Hillary, I wouldn't mess with him if I were you- he has alot of shit going for him. He gets good grades, comes from a wealthy family, is in a serious relationship. People like that don't take relationships lightly like you do- your gonna end up breaking his heart and having half the school hate you for it- that guy has alot of friends."
A small smile spread across Greg's lips. "Pretty much the same thing we would be doing at your church- listening to music and eating- just with a different spin on it." Looking towards the door, Greg swung his backpack over his shoulder. "Enjoy your blessed dinner." Greg said, a slight smile on his face as he took a few steps backwards, dissapearing into the crowd of teenagers rushing to get out of the school. Making his out to the bus stop, Greg waited patiently for the city's pathetic excuse for public transportation to arrive. He was going to need to feed again tonight, hopefully Drasilla would be up for it. He needed vamp blood with how strong his bloodlust had grown after tasting Sam's blood, and he wasn't going to be able to hold out for very much longer without it.

She smiled and nodded, but it came out as more of a nuzzle since he couldn't see her nod. "Yeah, I love that kind of junk food." SHe smiled happily at the date they were about to have.
Cassie kept crying in agony until she felt something warm spreading through her body- minor and immediate healing from her elf blood. She simply continued to cry once some of the pain got numbed out in the process. Colby was over and helping, saying they should treat her at home since the hospitals would be too supsicious of her quick healing. "We should call Chase- treat what we can now and he'll do what he can whenever he gets here..." SHe stroked Cassie's head and murmured, "It's going to okay, Cass, it'll be okay..." She, like Hayven, was shocked at the site of Damon.
Hillary nodded and sighed sadly. "Yeah, I guess...that just bums me out..." She cupped her chin in her hand and pouted. "I hate you and your smartiness," she said, smiling and rebounding into a perky mood. "So...What's for dinner tonight, do you know?"
Samantha got on her school bus and went home. Her father greeted her with a stern frown on his face. That teacher from Home Ec had called and reported seeing a very 'intimate public display of affection' with 'a gothic loner boy who doesn't appear to have friends.' After mild lecture, he slapped her across the face and told her she was sinning by being with someone not under God's Grace. She rubbed concealer over her mild bruise and then went to her room to study.

"Good." he yelled over his shoulder as he pulled into the Carls jr. parking lot. Offering her his hand, he helped her off the bike. "So, Elise, tell me about yourself- you know, whats your family like, what do you like to do for fun, what do you want to become?" He asked as he walked into the resteraunt, making sure to open the doors for her and let her order first.
Stephen was finally released from his fathers grip after his flames subsided, which wasn't until Chase had arrived and administered Cassie a good dossage of pain meds and treated her wounds. As of now, she was up in her room, conscious but sedated. Quitely creeping up the stairs, Stephen moved to her side. "Cassie, I'm so, so sorry. I never meant to....I..... it doesn't matter if I meant to hurt you or not. I did. I will not be like my father. I'm leaving tonight, leaving so I'll never hurt you again." Stephen remembered how his father had told him about what had happened between him and his mother- he wouldn't be like his father, he wouldn't be selfish and stay but hurt the girl he....but hurt Cassie because he stayed. "Your a strong girl Cassie....and one day you'll make an amazing ruler.....bye..." he couldn't bring himself to say it, not with her lying in her bed all doped up and shit. Standing up, he hesitated at the door before closing it securely behind him and sneaking down the stairs.
"Naw, but it better be quick cause' I've got to leave soon for the concert." Pulling up in front of the house, Alex was confused to see a man he didn't know sitting on the front porch. Getting out of the car, Alex approached the man, giving him a friendly wave. "Hi, I don't think I know you." "No, you wouldn't." Damon muttered, shaking his head. "I'm Stephen's father." Alex's eyes widened as he looked back at Hillary, not believing what he had heard.
Arriving at his friends house, Greg didn't bother to knock as he pushed open the door. Drasilla was waiting for him on the couch, dressed in black leather lingere. Greg's eyes lingered on her for only a moment before scanning the rest of the room for his friend. "Jak's not home." Drasilla said, her fangs already out and elongated as he pushed herself up off the couch and rested her hands on Greg's chest. "Your hungry, I can feel it- feel the bloodlust eminating from you. Take what you need from me." she said, arching her head backwards to give him full access to her neck. Drasilla had always had a thing for Greg, and she made sure to let him know it. They'd had sex a few times, and he fed from her frequently, although not enough for her to be his only source for feeding. She knew he didn't love her- it was obvious in the way that he looked at her and touched her- but she didn't care, at least not yet. She would try to make him love her, one way or another- after all, she had eternity to try. As his fangs elongated, Greg moved towards her, his lips wresting on her neck. As her hands moved towards him, he let out a visious growl. "Stop. You know your place." Drysilla immediately drew her hands back towards her, afraid that if she continued he wouldn't feed from her. He never let her touch him- ever. As his fangs dug into her skin and drew blood, he pushed her down onto the floor, his bloodlust making him violent as he drank from her.

"It's just me and my dad to begin...Um...He's an alcoholic...Uh...I like to explore...and I want to become a...um....Hm, I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up," she said and shrugged, smiling at him. "Same questions to you now." She quickly told the clerk her order and then waited for him.
Hillary's eyes bulged. "Woah! Like...seriously? You're...wow..." She was shocked. "What are you doing here...now?" She didn't get it. What was he doing here? And where was Stephen? "Where's your long lost son?" she asked, meaning it as a cordial joke.
Robin pulled on her high-heeled boots over her fishnet stockings. SHe had on a too-short mini skirt and a black and red bra with a fishnet top over it. She put on what little make up she could spare in a slutty but pretty way, and then she hitched a ride to the area of a big street race- those illegal things typically made good money for her. She started to work it in an alley with several other prostitutes.

"Ouch. An Alcoholic. That must be tough." Race said, pausing for a moment. He hadn't been expecting that from her. "Look, If you need a place to stay, or just someone to pick you up and take you away when your dads drunk, you know my number." he said, giving her a sympathetic smile. Remembering she had asked him a question, he continued, "Well, My family's pretty normal- raised by my mom and dad, have 4 siblings. I'd like to become a professional race car driver, and thats pretty much what I spend most of my time doing, much to my parents dismay." he laughed, ordering his own food. Pausing for a second, he turned to her and said, "Hey, uh...wheres your mom?" he couldn't help but notice she hadn't mentioned her mother.
Damon didn't laugh- at all. "He's up seeing that girl..Cassie. He burned her earlier, on accident." As if on cue, Stephen exited the house. Looking up, he cursed to himself. He really didn't feel like explaining himself to two more of his siblings. "Where are you going?" Alex asked, eyeing the big bag slung over Stephen's shoulder. "Look, I can't stay here...not after what I did..." Alex paused for a minute, sighing. "Look, Stephen, it ws just an accident." "Tell that to the burns on her god damn face." Stephen growled, not wanting to get angry again- he'd have to buy himself a new wardrobe if he kept up at this rate. "Look...please...just leave me alone...." Alex didn't want to get in the way of a guy who could reduce him to ashes within seconds, though he wasn't about to just let his brother walk out either. Stepping foreward, Alex rested his hand on his brothers arm. "Look, I get where your comming from, but.....with you father...you don't want to be like him, you don't want to just bail and walk out." Stephen flinched as if he had been physically hit. Stepping back, he sighed, knowing Alex was right. "Fine, I'll give her the choice- I'll let her decide." he said, still not making eye contact with his father. "Well, you wanna come into town and watch the concert?" Alex offered, figuring it would help to distract Stephen. "Naw, thanks though. I' m not much in the mood to be around people." Not that he ever was. Dropping his stuff onto the ground, Stephen nodded a goodbye to his siblings as he started off towards the forest, knowing there was always something to burn there and just wanting to be alone. "Well, Cassie's probably out cold right now....and I'm guessing dinner's not gonna be ready on time....how 'bout we just head back to town and pick up some food for us and Cassie and Stephen and the parents while were there." Alex said, turning to Hillary.
Eric went to the movies with Jessica that night, not enjoying it at all- it was some kind of cheesy chick flick- and the girl in it reminded him of Hillary.
After feeding from Drysilla, Greg stood up, wiping his face off with the back of his sleeve. It wasn't that he disliked Drysilla, it was just that he didn't like her in the way that she did and showing any signs of tolerance to her behavior might lead her to get the wrong impression. "Tell Jak Saturday at the clubs a go." Greg said, heading up the stairs and locking himself in the guest bedroom. Setting down his backpack, he began a drawing of an ocean merging with the sky, both colored the shades of blue he'd seen in Samantha's eyes. Sighing, Drysilla god up and wiped herself off. She had definitely enjoyed the feeding, but she had a feeling he hadn't- even less than normally. Mabe he hadn't liked the new lingerie.

Elise was silent for a few moments at the question pertaining to her mother. she was also thinking about how kind he was, offering her a place to rest when her father was too drunk to do anything but hurt her. "Mom died," she answered. "well, that's what Dad says...I don't really know if she died, or if she's just dead to him...You know?" She shrugged.
Hillary nodded. "Yeah, lets get going...Uh...Mr. Stephen's Dad? You wanna come with? Or are you and mom and dad catching up?" she asked, glancing after Stephen. "Hope hte forest is still standing when we come home."
Cassie was in the deepest part of sleep, and dreamt of being normal and being able to stay and be with Stephen. They held hands, and kissed, and....Well, the drugs took over there, and she had the most wonderful dream
Robin leaned behind the dumpster and spread her legs for her first paying customer. He slid in and out of her a few times before arriving in his condom, and paying her the last half- she always did half up front, half at the end. She righted herself and held back any tears...God, I just...want to die, she thought and went to work herself again.
Sam finished dinner and sat outside on the roof of her home. Her bedroom was on the second floor of a house, and the window outside her room lead directly to the roof. She was in her nightgown- a flimsy almost see-through green thing- and her hair was down and wavey. She glanced to make sure her curtains were drawn and her bed was made to look like she was asleep, before pushing a button on her flashlight and lighting up a book that was forbidden in her household- a Romance Novel filled with vampires, sex, and fighting and blood and words like 'fuck' and 'God-damnit.' Her cheeks flushed as her mind flooded with images of males with big throbbing...muscles...and thrusting into a beautiful thin girl and loving her till they both cried out. She flushed as images of herself and...She shut the book and shook her head, then traced the recent cut she'd made...My family wouldn't like him...

A solemn expression crossed Race's face before an idea popped into his head. "Hey! Why don't we go and try to find your mom together? I mean, with a little research and a whole lotta help from my sources, we could pull it off." he offered, obviously totally invested in the idea already. "What is it like living with your dad? I mean, is it bad, all the time?" he asked, a worried expression that was rare even in bad circumstances crossing his face.
Alex shot her a dissaproving look. "Uh, actually, I'm pretty sure mom and dad will want to talk to you...." his voice trailed off as he turned to Hillary, mumbling under his breath, "Are you mental? Stephen's seething mad at him? That guy just left him on the front porch, abandoning him for 17 years of his life and you want to invite him to dinner? What the hell is wrong with you!?" Pushing his sister into the car, Alex quickly got into the drivers seat and headed back to town.
Making his way deep into the forest, Stephen allowed himself to let go, lighting anything near him on fire. Before long, he'd made a clearing the size of a football field where a patch of vast forest had been, nothing but ashes left in its wake.

"It's...It's fine. If she really was interested in seeing me, she'd come see me," she assured him and smiled. "It's not bad all the time. When he's sober, he's really great..." Her voice and expressin indicated sober was something she rarely saw.
Hillary glared at him. "I thought we were going in to get food, and coming back, excuse me for giving him an oppurtunity to try and at least a slightly good impression." She glared out the window, then settled. "So what was that blond chick like?" she asked, smirking happily.
