The woman blinked at how excited Melody was before she checked the tag on the dress, giving a soft hum before telling her what the material was. "If he's paying for all of this you should get more things..." She whispered, Jareth wasn't listening, instad he was checking out clothes that he thought my look good on Melody. The woman gave a smile before she grabbed a couple more dresses and held them up to Melody, she knew her fashion, that was definite. "These will match with your eyes... Hm... We'll get this... And this, and this... Mm, this too..." The lady chirped, grabbed clothes and hanging them over her arm, she knew that Jareth would wnat Melody to have many different clothes for many different occasions.

Melody stared at the load that began to fill her arms. "Um....Okay, sounds....good...Ugh...." she stammered, looking at all the nice clothes. "Is he always that cold in public?" she asked the cashier, looking a bit worried. "And bossy?"

"Oh... Well, yes, of course he is... You haven't known him very long?" She asked, leading melody to the shoe section, she grabbed a couple of pairs of shoes. "Now, pick an outfit so we can match it with some shoes, kay?" The woman said, lying out the outfits and dresses and what not for Melody to pick from while the lady started to study boots, sandles, high heels, and other styles of foot wear.

Melody pointed at a black dress. "That one...And I just met him a couple weeks ago, and this is the first time I've gone out with him," she answered, scratching her neck nervously. "I'll get to keep these clothes, right?" she asked, looking at her boots. She loved her boots.

The lady made a face as she looked at Lilly's clothes, "Well... If you really want to." She shrugged and grabbed a pair of black high heels and got Melody to sit down and try them on. Jareth walked past them, giving the two females one glance before grabbed what he wanted and going back to the front of the store. "He's like that all of the time, he's really not the kindest of men..."

Melody watched him go while her shoes got fitted. This was so weird. "So I noticed," she muttered dryly. "Hey, ugh....What's good conversation? He told me to only make that, and...Is it something specific, or am I just being dumb and overthinking it?" she asked, blinking. "I've never worn heals before...." She mumbled suddenly, looking at her ankle, then her foot. They felt weird.

"These heels aren't very high, so you should be fine." She said and hummed to herself and then grabbed a different pair of heels, better ones. "Good conversation is... Speak when you're spoken too, don't ask stupid questions, be as sweet and try to flatter the person you're talking to as much as possible... You're pretty much just arm candy for him." The girl sighed to herslf, she'd been through that before. She disappeared for a couple of seconds and returned with a whole pile of bras and underwear, she gave Melody a lacey black, but comfortable, pair and hummed. "Go into the dressing room and try this on." She said, the dressing room was just a beautiful and tall Japanese folding screen that had been placed in front of a large alcove in the wall. There was a mirror on the wall of the alcove so that Melody could look at herself. "Show me once you're finished dressing."

Melody felt numb at that. She was just an arm-flower? Fantastic...She looked at the screen and then at the mirror, before stripping down and pulling the new clothes on. She walked out slowly, waiting for approval so she could get this dinner over with...She was already dreading the evening, already knowing it wouldn't end well for her, or for him, she supposed.

The lady clapped excitedly, grinning from ear to ear. "Beautiful! You look gorgeous!" She squealed happily. "This is great, now, would you like me to send all of your clothes to your home or to Mr. Addaneyes?" She asked but Jareth came up behind her, glaring at the girl, she didn't shrink away or show any far though, she stared at him, eyes narrowed. "Send them to my home." He ordered blankly and then grabbed Melody. "We'll be leaving now, thank you for your services." Jareth said before showing the teen out of the shop and down the road, not looking down at her.

Melody waved goodbye to the nice woman and looked up at Jareth. She managed to keep up with his tugging, but she wasn't happy about it. "...Wanna hear a funny joke?" she asked, wanting Jareth to be in a better mood or at least less unpleasant.

He looked down at her, anger in his red eyes. "A joke?" He practically snarled, stopping in the street, releasing her and turning to face her, leering down at her. "Fine, make me laugh." Jareth snapped and waited impatiently for her to say it.

Melody shrunk at his harsh tone and the glare. She looked at her feet. "N-Nevermind, it's not that funny," she mumbled, staring at her new shoes. They kind hurt her feet. Could be she liked boots more though. Her cheeks were burning and stinging from hurt.

Jareth calmed down, watching her silently, he sighed and touched the side of her face, making her look up at him. "I apologize, Melody. It wasn't right for me to get so upset." He whispered, bowing to her and then standing up straight again. "She just did soemthing she shouldn't have is all, and it upset me." The man set his hand on her lower back and started to lead her down the street, going at an easiar pace now, nice and calm.

Melody frowned a bit. "What did she do?" she asked, still trying to cheer up. His anger had scared her, a lot. She really wondered why he was always so controlled now.

"It doesn't matter right now, Melody, I don't feel like discussing it." Jareth responded and lead her into a resturants, there were flower baskets hanging from the wooden pillars that surrounded the red brick building, a fountain sat outside and all of the windows were large and let in a lot of sunshine. "Oh, good morning, sir." The man at the front greeted, smiling and bowing politely, looking a little nervous. "Would you like a booth in the back or somewhere near the windows?" He asked, swallowing hard and looking at melody, he gave her a kind smile before looking at Jareth. "Somewhere near the back windows, with a view of the garden." The shifter decided. The waiter nodded quickly, "Right this way please, sir, madam." He spoke and showed them to their seats. Jareth pulled a chair out for Melody and then took a seat himself, there were flowers hanging from the wooden pillars in there too, the tables were dark and wooden and the floor was cobblestoned. The roof pointed up into a triangle and was made of glass, showing off the sky and letting the rays of sun shine in. "Anything to start you off this afternoon?" The waiter asked after placing a menu in front of each of them. "A bottle of red." Jareth ordered before sending the man away. They were surrounded by incredibly important and high class people in there.
