Killian watched Karin through the small square oldstyle window in his living room, he smirked to himself a bit. Sitting back down he laid on the couch, thoughtful, a deep look on his face. It's really only the beginning of our soon to be twisted relationship.

She was going to go see what her new school looked like, but only got halfway there before bumping into the familiar faces. Josh smiled at her. She was beginning to see him as a puppy who wanted her attention. Valentine was with them and talking avidly with Rosie and a brown-haired with blonde highlights curly haired girl, whose name she heard a moment later to be Meghan. "hey, we were just talking about you." Josh said. Karin stared at him with uncaring eyes. "Anyways...We were wondering if you would go knock on Kil-agin's door and see if he has any oranges." "Why?" she asked. Josh blinked, not expecting the question. "Why dont' you guys leave him alone?" "Well, since he talks to you, it makes it interesting..." Dodging the question. His eyes caught the rose, and he seemed upset. "YOu ahve a boyfriend?" "No." she answered. "Someone jsut left this in my room last night." "Weird...Please? I'll...I'll...I'll..." he couldnt' find something to say. Karin sighed. "alright, I guess...Just stop bugging the guy." She said and turned to go to Killian's house. They followed behind, watching. Valentine seemed to have bought what they said about Killian.
Karin knocked on his door, and waited again, staring at the ground. She was disgusted with herself, but it was better to do what htey wanted than to be followed all day and have them bug Killian.

He stood up from the couch, he already knew who it was at the door. Walking there he opened it up slowly, he was a bit more relaxed today but the lines under his eyes were still there. His hair though was combed and washed and looked shiny. "Hello. Do you need something, Karin?" He questioned her smoothly, leaning against the door frame, his eyes moved to the group behind her and stayed there for a while, peircing each of them slowly before going back to the girl.

Karin smiled in greeting at him. "Hello. My brother wanted to know if you had oranges. He doesn't know where the grocery store is quite yet." That was her lie. She'd learend to lie well in the past few months. The other kids watched at their safe distance, looking at Killian with curious but slightly scared eyes, and at Karin with eyes of awe. She didn't realize it, but Karin was absently playing with the rose in front of Killian.

Killian looked down to the flower in her hands and his head cocked to the side a bit, a smile on his lips. "Looks like somebody likes you Karin. And yes I do have oranges... Once again, wait here. I will be back." He stated before turning and leaving from the doorway, he left the door opened, moments later he returned with a bag of oranges, he loved orages and kept a on of them.

Karin blushed at what he said and looked at it. Someone...likes me? she thought, and looked up at the oranges, smiling gratefully at him. "Th-thanks." she said. "Again." She turned and walked up to the group who were staring at her in shock. They took the oranges and nodded appraisingly at Karin, then walked away, not offering her to join them. Karin sighed and went into the woods to the babbling brook again to write. Had she made herself odd by assosciation?

He nodded and walked back into the cottage without a second thought about what someone would need oranged for. It was rather stupid to do actually, ask someone for oranges for someone else but he didn't mind, it made Karin more interesting to him.

Karin stayed up there all day, and a lot of the evening too. She finally came back when she got a call from her mother to come home from her 'new friend's house and eat.' Valentine must have thought she had friends. Or maybe that Killian was her friend. Maybe he was. She trudged past his home and paused to look at it, then walked to her own house, and nearly turned around. Her brother had his new guy friends over. And they were eating pizza again. She went in and had a few slices again, and then was about to leave, when they revealed soem garlic butter dipping sauce. And she was hungry. "Why don't we call that neighbor of ours over for dinner?" Karin's mother suggested. "We have asked him for a few things in the past week...It'd be polite." "Kar will you-" "I'm going." she mumbled and took the sauce with her. She knew it'd be gone if she didn't. She walked to Killian's and knocked softly. She hadn't put her rose down all day, keeping it close to her.

Killian got up from his couch slowly, walking tom the door, opening it up and staring at karin without blinking. "Hello..." He said slowly, both of his eyebrows raised, smirking to himself mentally.

"My parents wanted to know if you wanted to eat dinner with us tonight." she explained her visit. Karin looked up into his eyes, waiting for his answer with a blank face. Hm...How easy is it for someone to break into our house? she wondered, thinking the rose got in via break in.

He smiled to himself softly, eyes closing. "Sure. I'd like to." Killian replied to her with a small sadistic grin, but hid it very quickly. He slipped on his shoes and stepped outside, closing the door behind him, he was closer to Karin now.

Karin smiled and nodded. She led the way once he was outside, messing with the rose a bit, but settling once she got to her home. She opened the door and let Killian in and then followed him in. Her mom, Jenna, greeted him warmly. "Hello, Mr...-" Killian, mom. Karin mouthed. "Mr. Killian. It's a pleasure to have you." she said and watched as Karin grabbed some slices of pepperoni and sat in the kitchen away from the arguing going on between the 4 boys in the dining room. "Make yourself at home." She said and went to go quiet the boys.
Karin put the rose in a vase before eating and dipping her food in the sauce. No one was in the kitchen, but her. Valentine and Aaron were aware of how Killian smelled, but let it be.

Killian sat in the living room quietly, he had greeted the woman with a wde smile, she hadn't given him her name though. Looking at the boys with a raised brow he decided not to say anything but grabbed a single slice of pizza slowly and quietly eating it.

Jenna walked over and sat by him. "Sorry. I'm Jenna by the way." she introduced. She looked like an older Karin with blonde hair. "And you know my daughter...My husband and son are over there, Aaron and Valentine. Aaron's their step-dad. I don't remember the names of Val's friends though...So do you have a family, Mr. Killian?' she asked. Karin had finished eating and could be heard trudging upstairs, unnoticed.
Karin sat on her bed. The furnace vent in her room was connected to all the others, so she could hear everything that was going on. She snorted at her mother's question; Killian didn't seem to live with anyone. And no one noticed she'd gone upstairs. She took out a photo album and looked through it at pictures of happier times when she was with her dad and mom and brother, having fun. She felt tears falling down her cheeks again. Dad...Why did you have to die? she thought, wipping her eyes.

"No. I don't have any family actually." He replied politely, sitting up straighter in his seat and looking at her with a small smile. Looking over to Valentine and aaron he gave them a polite nod of greeting, smiling a bit wider. "It's nice to meet you all... It's not often that people move here now a days. Especially this neighbourhood, i don't know why exactly though."
