"Me either, but everyone was for it." Jenna said, smiling. Valentine and Aaron waved in response to Killian. "Even Kar did, which was odd, but great. It really is a good place to live." Jenna seemed unaware of Karin's pain. Karin had not wanted to move here. "And you don't have a family? Well, feel free to come over as often as you'd like for dinner or breakfast." Jenna said.
Aaron called Karin down a moment later, finally realizing she wasn't downstairs. Karin came down and there was some funny smelling gunk in her hair that got rid of the hair dye. She missed her blonde hair. "We have a guest, be polite and stay down here." he told her. Karin nodded, but didn't actually hear him except the stay and down here part. She walked in the living room where Killian and her mom were and poked her mother. "May I watch TV?" she asked. Her mom shook her head. "Why don't you sit with me and talk to our neighbor." she suggested. Karin sat down on the couch on the other side of Killian, since he had sat in the middle of hte couch and there was no room by her mom. She had her rose with her again, examining it as if it were her best friend and trying to figure out who gave it to her. Part of her suggested Killian, since he had a bandage on him and was considered intimidating, but she figured he wasn't the guy who gave it to her. Valentine's fucking with me again. she decided, but pretended on that a guy who liked her gave it to her.

Killian nodded his head in response to that, some peole were rather clueless though, he had even noticed that Karin disliked the very thought of moving. He sawe it in the way she acted, her movement how she spoke, everything she did set off the knowledge of her not liking to move to somewhere that isn't her natural environment. "Thank you for the offer but I leave a lot in the morning and in the nights, i'd be rather late for those meals if invited." He said with a small smile. Looking over at Karin he looked to the rose in her hand, he had another gift for her that he'd leave in her room, either that night or the next night he still had to decide.

Karin looked up at him. "What do you do for a living?" she asked softly. Jenna stood and left the room to go clean up the kitchen. Valentine could be heard going upstairs with his friends, and Aaron went to the kitchen and shut the kitchen door. Karin and Killian were alone in the living room. Jeez...And I look ridiculous with the gunk in my hair... Her hair looked wet and sticky, but was lightening , so that made it worth it to look funny.

"Well my job is to find peopleactually. You know, when they've run away or if they were kidnapped by somebody. I'm sort of an investigater actually. It's a very fulfilling job." Killian answered, it was exactly a lie, it was just sort of a twisted answer. He looked around, everyone was gone, leaning back into the couch a bit he looked at the rose again for a while, studying it.

"Oh...Sounds hard." she mumbled, turning the rose over in her hands, eyes on the stem, the bandage. "Mom seems to like you. That's good, I think." Karin figured she should try to befriend Killian, since she knew that her mom would want her to have one friend. She'd make more in school when the year came. She looked up, a blank look on her face.

"You like that rose i'm guessing? You've had it almost everytime i've seen you since this morning I think." Killian stated to her with a slight smile, he hoped that she liked it. If she didn't he'd feel a bit bad but get over it in the end. "You like those kinds of things?"

Karin's cheeks flushed and she looked at it. "Y-...Yeah, I like it. It made me feel more welcome here." She eyed Killian with suspicious eyes. Aside from the rose, Josh made me feel welcome too. And you. She had two suspects, and only one seemed to be capable of getting into her house. And he was asking her what she liked. "I guess..." she answered his other question, eyes on the rose, then back at his face.

He hummed at that, tere was a vibration came from his pocket an a melodic mossart song started playing. Killian put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a black razor cellphone. Opening it he put it to his ear. He didn't speak at all except for a quick 'alright' at the end before closing the cellphone. Looking back at her he smiled slightly, standing up. "Well. I have a job to do, could you tell your family I said thank you? I have to head right away?"
((Lol. I was so happy this christmas. It was great.))

Karin nodded and watched him go. She sighed when he was gone. No more company. she thought. She trudged upstairs, showered, and went to bed early.

He left to go and drive to where his job was and did it in one of those silent ways. He had used one of those piano string things and sliced through the victims neck very slowly, making painful yet satisfying to him. Once he grabbed something off of them he wnt to go and collect his money.
Later on that night he broke into Karin's house once again and went to Karin's room, leaving a note in a very spidery looking handwriting. It read;
My Dearest Karin,
For the past few days i've been observing you... You're one of the most intriguing young woman I have ever met. One day I hope to speak to you in person... But that may not be happening in a while. That doesn't mean that i'm not going to try and talk to you though.
Also I hope you enjoyed that rose, it's the very first of many to come, enjoy this next gift I leave for you...
Love... Your Admirer...
What was left was a very old book full of Shakespeare’s most famous stories and poetry. Every page there was a picture done around the words. Some of the words were lined in gold as well, it was veryexpensive.

((sorry! i forgot to ask in the last response, what happened and what did you get for xmas? <3))
Karin woke earlier than usual and looked at her nightstand, and sat up too quicky. Her head spun for a moment. Once normal again, she picked up the letter and read it, immediately knowing it wasn't her brother. He didn't have nice handwriting. Or spidery handwriting. She looked at the book, and lifted it up and turned a few pages, eyes wide. Woow...This must have cost him...or her...them a lot of money... she thought. She folded the letter in half and put it in the book and got out of bed and dressed.
Karin went downstairs, holding the book and the rose and her journal and pen, grinning happily. She ate alone, since her mom was at work and her step-dad was out getting some things. He didn't work for another week or so. Her brother was still asleep, his friends and him all could be heard snoring in the kitchen. She heard someone's car pull up. Looking out, she recognized her best friend from the city. Karin ran to greet her.
"Bethany!" she screeched happily. Bethany looked at Karin with cold, unfriendly eyes. "I'm not here to see you, Kar." she flipped her hair. "Psh...Me and a few of you other 'friends' were sooo glad you moved. You do know we only used you for answers and stuff to homework and tests, right?" Bethany sneered. Karin stared at her, eyes wide and hurt. "Anyways, is Valentine up yet? He left a CD at my house a few weeks ago." Karin shook her head. "I-...I could take it up." she mumbled, voice clearly hurt and eyes getting wet. Bethany rolled her eyes, tossed the CD and watched Karin juggle to catch it and fail. Her rose dropped too. She knelt to pick them up. "Later, worm." Bethany said, hopped in her blue convertable buggie, and sped off, dust trailing behind her and hitting Karin.
Shakey, Karin picked up her rose and Val's CD and put the CD on the counter. She walked back outside and down the path, passing Killian's home and crying, staring at the ground. Her blonde hair was back, but much lighter that it brought the greens in her eyes out and made her eyes look light and pretty. But the tears were blocking that. Her hair hid her eyes. She clutched her journal, Shakespheare book, and rose to her body.

((We didn't fight as much as we usually do and I got a whole bunch of The beatles stuff. I love the beatles.))
Killian had gotten up at four, watched television, drank coffee and relaxed. After having a shower and getting dressed and such he went to do his usual staring out the window at the birds. His head was spinning with a whole wack of crazy thoughts. But when that girl pulled up in the blue convertible he looked over. Watching and listening to the conversation.
Sighing he stood and grabbed his shoes, waiting for karin to pass his house before going out, locking the door and following her. "Hey, Karin. Are you alright? I saw what happened from my wndow?"

((I know. I've picked up on some things on this site. That's good, the not so much fighting thing.))
Karin slowed when she heard Killian's voice. She shifted, trying to be inconspicous so she could wipe her eyes and lie. "Y-yeah. I'm fine." she lied, not looking up for fear she'd be given away. "Just thinking, is all." Half lie. Is Killian my friend? she wondered.

((Yeah... We usually are all at each others throats but thats because it's a two story house with sixteen people that are related to each other and have problems gives ya. XD))
Killian watched her, hands in his pockets and had cocked to the side, he looked at the book that she was carrying and blinked. Then he looked away, he was surprised. "I know you're crying, you don't have to hide it from me..." He said slowly, thinking of a way to make her feel better. "You know? I could take you to that old library that's here. It has a ton of books and it's very warming and calm. Barely anyone goes there these days, you barely see the librarian.." He offered to her with a small smile.

((yikes! i'm gratefull all my relatives live on the east coast and i'm on the west. i only have to put up with...6 other people on the second xmas))
Karin stared at her feet, a slight blush on her cheeks. She sniffled. "how'd you know I liked the library?" she asked in a mumble. She hadn't talked to him much, nor had she read much since coming here. She just wrote a lot. She slowly looked up with teary eyes at Killian. "How far away is it?" she asked, ready to do math in her head and pay gas mileage.
