Cahira stayed a good distance away but trotted along in the same direction the train was going. She wouldn't be able to keep up with it completely, but she had enough stamina to keep running all night, especially if she picked up mice or other things to snack on while she went.

Lilly stayed in the coals until it stopped the next day. She hopped off and went to scrounge for some food, still extremely irritated with Cahira. She dug around her pocket and found about three dollars, and went to the vending machines. Nothing good, so continued her search. She spotted some cooks getting onto a separate train and ran over, examining their uniforms. She found a spare one that fit and got onto the train and went to storage to hide until the train started. She wasn't sure where she was going.

Cahira had done well enough, chasing the train without much of a problem, sprinting like the devil himself. When the train stopped she rested, stretching out, shaking her body, preparing herself mentally for another harsh run that would soon be coming.
When the train left this time she ran along side it, and when they were out into the more secluded area she pounced, her nails digging into the train as she scaled it. Cahira got to the roof and laid down flat upon it, closing her eyes and staying out of sight the best she could.

Lilly would wait near the back and sneak food, and then scurry into the luggage area and eat. She was very good about saving scraps for later. This train would be moving for three days. ...Damn it, she thought angrily. She was worried about Cahira. She sighed and nibbled at a breadstick, becoming depressed. She still hated the child though- hated that she was deemed something unworthy in her eyes. I wish I wasn't born a wolf... she thought sadly and whimpered. She hated being a wolf. Utterly hated it.

~ Over the next few days ~
On two occasions had Cahira sprang off of the trains roof to go and catch herself some food. And on those two occasions she had had to run like a bitch to catch up to the stupid contraption and then climb up onto it again. She was unaware of how long it was moving for, but she supposed she'd have to deal with it, there was really nothing else that she could do.
Besides, it wasn't to bad sleeping up there, windy and smokey, but nothing she hadn't dealt with before.

It stopped and Lilly got off before the rest of the luggage and sprinted away from the tracks. She sighed and continued walking, assuming that Cahira was long gone by now. She stumbled over something and fell on her face, and just laid there. She looked around at all the stuff in the train yard, her eyes half-lidded. "This whole world sucks."

"It does." Cahira spoke up from behind Lilly, crouching a couple of feet away, looking exhausted, black circles beneath her eyes. "You're smart sometimes, resourceful even, I don't understand why you couldn't have at least make hunting strategies for your pack..." She shrugged but said nothing more about it. "You gonna get up?"

"No. I'm going to lay here and die." She answered sarcastically. "I don't hunt because I don't like to kill. I like to help people, not hurt- except you. I hate you," she replied callously. "You're a pain in my ass." She sighed deeply and pushed herself up and started to trudge away. "Why'd you follow me? I dont' get it."

"A pain in your ass when i've never gotten into your way once? All i've done is help you, hunt, I even saved you money by not allowing you to buy a large tent and an extra sleeping bag." Cahira snorted. "I've hunted for food for you, i've protected you..." The teenager stood up straight, following. "You may not like it, but i've taken you as a member of my pack, you're stuck with me."

"You've hassled me, inconvenienced me, did unto me as my old pack did as well," she snapped, still angry. "You've treated me as a lesser wolf, when the fact is regardless of my apparent 'weakness' I'm still a strong person. Quit treating me like some child!" Lilly hated to hunt- sure- but that didn't make her weak. By any standard, she hunted other things that maybe normal wolves didn't eat...like vegetables. Maybe I should become a vegetarian? she thought. Lilly stopped and looked at Cahira, determined. "Treat me as your equal and I will do the same- to me you are a savage, stupid wolf like my packmates-" Albeit stupider for not adapting. she thought. "If you stop treating me as a lesser, I will treat you with respect as well." She didn't want to be part of another fucking pack- a partnership was what she was seeking in a new home- somewhere she could be equal.

"I'm probably worse than your packmates, probably more of a killer than they are..." Cahira mostly killed for pure unadultered pleasure. It made her feel good to take somethings life, even more so now that her pack was gone and she had more anger and sadness with in her. "No, I won't give you my full respect, not yet." Lilly had been slowly gaining little bits of respect, but she wouldn't get any respect if she was well to make bargains to get it. "At this time, your fear is better to have than your respect, I don't trust you... But if you wish, I won't speak at all anymore, there won't be a need for it anyways." Cahira carried onward, her hands shoved into her coat pockets and her red hair blowing in her fair from the breeze, it was getting longer, it had grown a lot actually and was now past her shoulders.

Lilly snorted and caught up with her, walking beside her. She didn't say anything opting for silence as Cahira suggested. She continued to silently loathe Cahira while they walked until nightfall. There was busted shed nearby so Lilly settled in there. She had found some things to eat- vegetables- and was eating those happily. Maybe I'll become a vegetarian...

Cahira remained outside, sitting and staring up at the moon. There was bones of a recently eaten animal laying on the ground in front of her. She was picking her teeth with one of the bones slowly, getting everything out of there. Her eyes darkened and she leaned back against the shed, still looking at the moon.
The last full moon had been hard without her pack around and she'd nearly killed Lilly... But she'd gained control and had ran away for about two days before showing up again. She supposed she'd have to keep doing that whenever a full moon appeared or else she may do something drastic.

Lilly stayed up late, reading her book. She was crying a little, suddenly reflecting on her uncle who had passed before she could learn anything about magic or healing. She sighed and wiped her tears, but one fell on the pages of the book and it lit up. She gasped and touched it...
...and vanished. The book pages were still glowing brightly, enough so that maybe they'd get Cahira's attention.

Cahira stiffened at Lilly's gasp and she stood and walked into the shed, looking over at the book, she frowned and cautiously sauntered over, sniffing the air. Slowly she pulled on her jacket and walked even closer to the book, bending down, reching out and touching the page, causing her too to vanish into thin air.
