The dealer let him in and grinned, his face flushed. "Welcome. Shall I just sell you the H, or would you like to see our new shipments?" he asked, a sardonic grin on his face. "I've tasted one of the new shipments, and it is delightful- but oh, you're not vampire, are you? Perhaps the body would interest you more..." He smiled, hoping that Aaroe got his drift.
Alexis's eyes narrowed and she shoved him up against the nearest wall with surprising strength. "If I come back and find her in any condition less than she is now," she paused and grinned evilly. "It will look like an accident- suicide even." She released him and led the way out with Trent, muttering things to herself about the 'drunk asshole who flirted too much and was probably a pedophile.'
Harley came inside after the door shut. She glanced at Scyther. The biggest ghost- she called him Flit- scoffed in her ear. "She left you with yet another drunken fool! At this rate, you'll never learn to help the dead!" The other two ghosts yelped things as well, but she could hardly understand their words they spoke too fast. She went to the kitchen and snagged a soda, then went and turned on the TV.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Scyther's not the smartest guy, buy he's trustworthy." Trent reassurred her. He wasn't used to seeing Alexis throw people up against the wall and threaten them, especially not full grown men. He imagined the shock probably shone on his face, which was why he made sure to walk behind her. He was proud of her and the fact that she seemed to be very capable of taking care of herself- he was just shocked at the sudden power shift. All throughout their childhood he had been the one to protect her. Pulling out his phone, he dialed Aaroe's number again. "Hey, whats up?" Aaroe asked, knowing Trent rarely called him, so when he did it was important. "Corrine's going missing, a few guys seem to have kidnapped her." Trent said, wandering if Aaroe was already aware of the situation. "Aww, damn. I knew I should have driven her home.." Aaroe said, immediately feeling a pang of guilt course through him. "Hey, its not your fault. Don't worry about it, just help us look for her and call us if you find out anything, k?" Trent said, his voice commanding and sympathetic at the same time. "Yeah..." Aaroe said, his voice distant as he hung up the phone. He was definately going to need something stronger than heroine tonight to fight off the demon- it got stronger when he was stressed, and this was definately gonna fuel the demon. "Sure...show me what else you've got." he said, turning to the dealer.
Trent hung up the phone and turned to Alexis, "He doesn't know much, but he's gonna help if he can." Trent said, making sure his voice was calm in order to calm Alexis down. "Where should we start searching?" he asked, not really being all that familiar with this part of town.
As Scyther spotted Harley by the T.V., he cracked a troublesome grin and headed towards the girl. "Hey, I'm scyther." he said, smiling as he sat down next to her. "How'd you get stuck living with the ice queen?" he asked, glancing at the t.v.

Alexis nodded. "OKay, thank you," she said as they made their way downstairs. She sighed and looked at him. "Can we take your car?" She asked, frowning that she'd probably have to call to get spare keys- the likelihood of Corinne still having her things was fairly low. "We're going to downtown to the black alley." That was a common place for prostitution- it was as good as any other place to start.
The dealer grinned and led him first into the room with the four normal ones, and then into the other room. "This one is especially tasty- like fresh picked cherries and strawberries." And there she was- butt naked to the bed, sedated, and an iv still in her arm. The keg-like thing had at least one ounce of blood in it already. "If not, we're going to start draining her again." He said casually. "But I might have to keep her for myself- she was tasty!" Corinne stared at them, her eyes distant from the drugs.
She was watching some asian horror film. She glanced up at him, then away. "She's my aunt," she answered. A blatant lie, but he was drunk. She noted the blurry images around him and couldn't help but wonder who had died in his life.

"Yeah, we can take my car." he said, pulling out his keys and unlocking the black lamburgine in the lot. "You want to drive?" he asked her, wanting to do whatever he could to make her feel more in control of the situation.
Aaroe froze, his eyes locking onto Corines. He stopped himself from cursing, or betraying any of the many emotions surging through him. He wanted to deck his dealer square in the jaw, and then detach the guys eyes from his face with a spoon and seperate his flesh from his skin with a butter knife. "I'll take her." he said, quickly moving over to Corrine and gently yet swiftly removing the I.V. from her arm. "Give me her clothes and I will dress her." he said, not wanting any more men to see her naked than already had.
Glancing over at her, he read the look on her face. "Don't kid yourself, I've only had one beer today. I'm not drunk....not yet, not enough to know that you just lied to me." he said, his tone hardening only slightly. People often underestimated Scyther's intelligence because of the fact that he drank too much and was overfriendly most of the time. He definately wasn't the next Albert Einstein, but he knew alot about people, mostly from experience.....he knew enough to know that, although the girl sitting next to him had the body of a young teenager, her mind was more mature than most adult's were.

She gaped at the car. "No! I'd crash it!" she said, gaping at him. "Alright, what do you do for a living?" she asked as she got into the car and buckled up, still shocked.
"What are you talking about? You mean to fully- I just meant for an hour or so with her alone..." He hummed. "I guess since she's used goods...250grand," he answered. He'd paid a lot for her. "As for her clothes..." They'd already been trashed by the other perverts living in the dealer's home. "She'll just have to go naked."
"Who died in your life?" she asked. "One beer blurs my vision." Harley was not focused on him, but instead of invisible figures around him. "Alexis has a nosy one that follows her...He woke me up last night...She got me out of my bad home, and she is my foster mom, but I'm going to call her auntie once I get used to her." Her own ghosts were yelling at her now.

Oh geese, if he explained to her what he did, then he'd have to get into his past, which was bound to bring up emotions in both of them that would definately not help the situation. "We can talk about it later..." he said, looking away from her as he started the engine. "Just tell me where to go." he said, pulling onto the main street.
He flinched as he refferred to Corrine as used goods, thinking that was such a load of bullshit, especially comming from the likes of a drug dealer. Taking his shirt off, he slipped it onto her, the article of clothing reaching down to mid-thigh on the girl. Gathering her in his arms, he was careful with her as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his check book. He gave his dealer the money, not bothering with any more small talk. He wanted to get her to a hospital- to get her the proper care to ensure she was healthy and figure out what all she'd gone though. He definately was going to have to find another heroine dealer. As he slipped her into the passenger seat of the car, he tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear. "Your alright, Corrine. I am responsible for the events that have transpired, and I vow to amend things." he said, a sober expression crossing his face as wandered if she'd ever be the same again. She had been so innocent..so kind. Would she be the same after she woke up. He prayed to god she would- he would never forgive himself if not. As he started up the car, he whipped out his phone and called Trent, "I found her, I'm driving her to Central Square Hospital right now. I will meet you there."
Scyther physically flinched at the girl's question. "What the hell are you talking about?" he asked, taking another swig of his beer. "Alexis has a nosy what that follows her?" he asked, totally lost. His tone had grown cold at the mention of an individual who had died in his life, his attempt to mask his emotions totally failing at this point. He could mask most things with humor or what most people assumed was his own stupidity, but this was one thing he couldn't fake.

Alexis was about to tell him when he got the phone call. She was close enough that he heard the voice say where Corinne was and where they were going. Relief flooded her face and she relaxed, looking very tired. She was going to sleep when she got back. "Thank goodness."
Corinne made a funny noise- she was still heavily sedated. The wound on her neck was bleeding slightly. She was very lucky considering all that had happened. She drifted off against the window, her hair falling behind her head where he'd brushed it back.
"A noisy ghost. I think it's her dad. I heard her talking last night with that man- Trent," she said. "Anyways, he was calling her a bunch of bad things my daddy used to call me...So whose your ghost?"

"Yeah.." Trent said, doing a u-turn on the street they were on and heading towards the hospital. "Hey, you okay?" he asked, worriedly glancing over at her. "When was the last time you had anything to eat?" he asked, glancing at the fast food resteraunts nearby. "We could stop anf get a bite to eat- your not gonna be able to see Corrine anytime soon ayways, with all the test the doctors will probably run on her and the sedatives they'll giver her...she'll be out cold for at least the fisrt half of the day." he said, wishing Alexis would start thinking about her own well being instead of Corrine's.
Aaroe rushed Corrine to the hospital as fast as he could, ushering her into the hospital and getting her immediate medical care with a few extra 100 dollar bills.
"Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me you see ghosts like the kid in the movie '6th sense?" he asked, scratching his head in confusion. Maybe he was still passed out on his bed from the night before- maybe this was all just a dream, or maybe the kid was just pulling his legs for laughs.

Alexis glanced up at him in thought. "Before the party last night," she answered. She hadn't eaten in a long time. But she was used to not eating from years of it, so she sometimes had no idea when she was hungry. "I'm...I'm good with going for some fast food," she said, knowing he was right. "I hope she's okay."
Oddly enough, she was put on the same floor as her mother as they treated her. SHe was patched up and then tucked in, since as far as they could tell, that was as far as the damage went. She had a bump on her head but it wasn't serious...She'd just have to sleep the sedatives off.
"6th sense?" she repeated. She had never seen the movie. "I...don't know...I do see dead people and ghosts..." Harley looked out the window from the couch. "Wanna play Uno?" she asked, smiling suddenly.

"What!" Trent said, an alarm look contorting his features. "Alexis, you've got to take better care of yourself! Am I gonna have to drop by at breakfast, lunch, and dinner to make sure your feedinf yourself properly? How much do you weigh now anyways?" he asked, hoping to god she wasn't as light as she looked. Pausing for a second, his voice softened slightly when he spoke again. She'll be fine." he reassured her, moving his hand over and putting it on top of hers comfortingly.
Aaroe stayed by her side, holding her hand and stroking her hair until she woke up. The Demon inside of him grew stronger and stronger as time went on, reminding him that he'd forgotten to restock his supply of heroine. If he wanted to be around her much longer, he needed another shot, and fast unless he wanted her to be in worse condition than she already was.
"What?" he asked, shaking his head in confusion. "How the hell do you go from telling somebody you can see ghosts to asking if you can play uno?" After a pause, he perked up, lightening the mood. She was still a kid, after all. "Sure, you know what, I could go for a good game of uno. You look like you might even make it worth my time." he joked, smiling as he chucked the rest of his Corona into the trashcan. He didn't want to get drunk, at least not around her. She seemed rattled enough, without him being drunk of his ass.

She jumped in her seat, stunned. She tried not to laugh in amusement at his worry. "Corinne usually cooks breakfast, I normally eat lunch, and Corinne normally cooks dinner...I don't know how much I weigh now, I'd have to go to a doctor's." She smiled at him and looked at their hands, blushing slightly. "I'm really not good with house-wifey things...I actually eat more than I did two years ago." It was hard to believe she'd been smaller two years ago.
She stirred after awhile. Corinne looked over at him, eyes tired. "Aaroe?" she whispered, bringing her hand up to touch his face, and then smiling. "I feel loopy." She still was a little high, but not super sedated enough to fall asleep.
She smiled and ran to get it, but paused midstep. "Don't freak out at the floating cards," she said, adn with that she got the card game and dealt. Sure enough, one deck floated. Flit was in contact enough with this world he could touch things and such, and understand games. Harley smiled at the floating cards. "This is Flit, my guardian. Flit already knows you...He's not too fond of you yet..." She paused again. "You go first."

"Oddly enough, I don't find that comforting in the least bit." he said, only half-joking. "If I remember correctly..." he said, thinking back to their childhood, "Your favorite fast food place is Carls Junior. Still true?" he asked, smiling slightly at her.
"As you should." Aaroe said, laughing slightly and letting out a heavy sigh of relief when she woke up. "We've all been worried sick about you." he said, continuing to stroke her hair. "You hungy? I can run out and get you something- you've already been subjected to enough torture, I'm sure as hell not going to add hospital food to the list." he said, pulling out his phone. "You should probably give your friend Alexis a call, Trent tells me she's been sick with worry....." he said, his voice drifting off.
"And why the hell not?" Scyther asked, slightly offended but equally ammused. "It's not like I pose a threat to the man. For god's sakes, I can't even see him." As an underhanded smile crept onto his lips, he slyly said, "So, is there any chance we can make this game a varaition of strip poker." he said, thinking maybe that way this could at least be a little fun for him.

She shook her head. "Panda Express," she answered. She'd switched to chinese food shortly after being rescued. "But if that's where you want to go, we can go there," she said, smiling at him softly.
"Okie dokie...I'll phone- My phone got broken!" She sat up then fell back, looking dizzy. "My head...God...Can I borrow your phone?" she asked, still feeling out of it. "What floor am I on...? This is the hospital, right?"
Despite being thirteen, she didn't quite get it. "Strip poker?" she repeated and looked at the space for explanation. "Now he really doesn't like you...I can't channel ghosts yet, but he's calling you a lot of nasty things." The cards were floating like an angry person ready to rip them up. "We could bet money..." But she frowned. "Or cheerios. I don't have any money, but I saw a show where they subsituted money for cheerios."

"Nope, Panda Express it is." he said, pulling into a nearby mini mall and parking in front of a Panda Express. Escorting her into the fast food resteraunt, he let her order, and doubled it for her, making sure she'd have plenty to eat. For himself, he simply ordered a water. As he sat down across from her in the booth, he watched her eat, remaining quiet for the most part. "So...the whole assassin thing..." Trent said in a slightly hushed voice, "Why do you do it? It's not that I care about the moral part of it as much as I'm worried about the psycological effect it might have on you.....It's dangerous work, Alexis..." he said, his brows creasing in worry. It felt just like old times- whenever he hadn't been around her when they were younger, he'd been spending every waking hour worried about what her father might be doing to her.
"Just lie back down, take it easy." he said, making sure his voice was as soothing as possible. "Maybe you should hold off on calling your friend till you feel better." he said, pulling the blanket back up to her chin. "Were on the third floor of the hospital, why?" he asked, a slightly confused look spreading across his face.
*Aww christ. What the hell am I doing..this is sick. She just a child, the poor girl doesn't even know what the hell strip poker is* he thought, this being one of the few instances where he genuinely felt guilty. "Tell you friend sorry..." Scyther said, remorse squashing his sarcasm. "Yeah, we can use cheereos." he said as he got up an retrieved the cereal box.

Alexis ate slowly, rolling her eyes at his over-concern. She ate every bite though, appreciative of the fastfood. She glanced around to see who was listening before answering. "See...It's weird...It's helped me." She paused. "I can't really explain it...If it wasn't for the job, I'd probably be in some mental institution getting more and more help." She looked somber. "Sometimes, I think I should be...I have bad days..." she didn't go into detail about that.
A strange expression crossed her face. "My mom is on this level," she said softly. "When I feel better...Do you want to meet her?" she asked softly. "I should say hello to her while I'm in here..." She was rambling.
Flit was through a fit and an irritated looked crossed her face, and then Flit explained what strip-poker was. Harley stood and went to the bathroom, and stayed in there for awhile- that had definitely scared her a bit.
