Her eyes narrowed and she looked away. "My life... Parents were killed when I was just a pup, raised by my pack mates, i've always been violent so they tried to channel all my anger and what not into hunting. Obviously didn't turn out well, i've gotten worse." Cahira grinned, her teeth large and sharp. "My life ended though I suppose, last month." She added thought-lessly, not looking very fazed by it. She scratched the side of her face, "And your life?"

Lilly hummed for a little while as she processed Cahira's life story. It was much different from hers- worlds apart. "Well, I was born into my family. We were healers and spiritual people, so we were always gathering herbs and learning how to mend serious wounds and deadly illnesses that struck. My uncle was a spirit-guide, which is what I was training to be as well, but he died before I could get to a first-level guide...He kept in tune with the magics of the world, and supposedly saw where we went after we died," she started. "After that, I just learned medicine. I'd like to learn magic again though. My parents primped me up for mating- which I left before they could mate me to anyone, but I know who they would've picked," she said with a deep set scowl. She didn't approve of their choice. "My life was easy compared to yours."

"That's not easy." Cahira shook her head, frowning. "You were training to be something and your teacher passed on, then your family decided that you should be mated, used as a breeder... Not easy." She elaborated briefly, non-chalantly. "Many lives have their own, unique trials, hard for some, easy for others... Differences, differences..."

"...What the hell are you, a poet?" she teased suddenly and looked at her. "Compared to your life, my life was very easy. I'm just a picky person." She smiled brightly at Cahira and looked around the woods.
It was sundown so Lilly set up her tent and things, then gathered some firewood to warm herself up in the meantime. "Wanna get us some food?" she asked Cahira.

"Hn." She grunted in response and stood up slowly, stretching out, her back popping and cracking as her bones adjusted. Cahira sauntered into the darkness and shifted into her wolf form, trotting off into the brush and sniffing around. It wasn't long before she smelt something... Rabbits, a few rabbits. She grinned and took off silently, tracing the scent, ready for a satisfying and quick kill.

Lilly worked on the fire while she was away, humming happily to herself about nothing in particular. She heard some gunshots in the distance and sat up, frowning worriedly. She wondered if this was a hunting heavy area.

Cahira skidded to a halt, her ears standing straight and her head turning. She tilted her head back and started to sniff the air, looking for any signs of danger for a moment before she continued on. Killing those rabbits was the main thing on her mind, she'd just have to keep watch for any trouble.

Lilly kept a sharp ear out as well, and stood when she heard something approaching closer. She looked around, trying to pinpoint it, when a couple of hikers emerged from the darkness. One boy, one girl- the girl eased Lilly a little. "Hey there, mind if we share your fire?" they asked with a grin.
Lilly hesitated to answer, before shaking her head. "Sorry, I can't," she replied and watched their faces fall. She waited for something to happen, but they simply called her some name and moved on deeper into the forest. She wondered why they were hiking at night, but at the same time, did not want to know.

Cahira finally caught the rabbits, killing them and then somehow, miraculously, fitting their necks in her mouth so she could carry them. She headed back for camp, her brain rather focused on the blood that dripped from the corpses of the rodents and into her salivating mouth.

Lilly saw her and stood once more, grinning. "Alright, we got some food!" she cheered and looked at the salivating wolf that carried them. "Does your pack skin your food before you eat it?" she asked Cahira and took a rabbit for herself.

Cahira didn't reply she just immediately laid down and started to tear through the rabbit fur and began to eat into it without thought. She closed her eyes and chowed down, enjoying her well-earned meal. Hunting and the triumph of catching ones prey made her feel very good about herself, it made the food ten times better. Her eyes opened and she looked at Lilly, watching the other wolf with curious eyes to see what she would do.

Lilly pulled out some knives she had and skinned her rabbit, then lightly cooked it. IT wasn't that she had never had raw meat before- she was reading about cooked meat and was curious. It didn't help that she didn't like being a wolf- she didn't like being a predator. She didn't have it in her to be a bloody hunter.

Cahira watched, her eyes darkening in disgust. How human Lilly was, it was so... Vile and offensive. She looked away, taking a large bite into the rabbit, bones breaking as her teeth came into contact with them. "Your pack... What was it like?" Her question was surprisingly off-handed, but she did in fact want to know about Lilly's people, and to see how modern they were.

"Hm? Well, we were modernizing. We mostly ate raw meat- like you-" she said, but her tone was distant. It was clear she had never been fond of eating that meat. "But I was reading about cooked meat. I was curious...I kind of like cooking," she explained with a grin. "But we were modernizing. SOme of us had cabins, and wore city clothes- we did skin our food everytime to make spare blankets, tents, and clothes for our pack though." She turned the rabbit and pulled out a pair of mittens made from rabbit fur from her pack. "These are what my grandma made me last winter...I'm...I'm not a normal wolf," she supposed. "I don't...I prefer this presence to the wolf one..." SHe knew this was shameful- that Cahira would probably loathe her for admitting it- but she had to.

Cahira turned her head away, closing her eyes, not looking very pleased, almost ignoring Lilly. "I see, you'd rather to have been born something else." She chewed her food and swallowed and then started to chew the bones more, letting them clean her teeth. That's how she kept the clean and sharp, chewing the bones into tiny bits and letting them clean everything.
