She smiled and nodded her head. "Alright, well, my race isn't one for physical contact, handshakes and hugs are out of the question really." Faye thought about it a little more. "Always except the first glass of wine you're offered and drink it with you're meal, you don't have to finish it and you can refuse any more after that." She thought a little more about it but there wasn't to many strange rules. "Much of our culture is the same as you said, so don't worry at all." Faye assured him and grinned widely.

He looked at her arm around his with a raised eyebrow after her phyiscal contact remark but said nothing about it. He could handle the lack of handshakes and hugs easily. The wine presented a slight problem. The amount of wine that was considered to be an excess for a fairy was minimal at best for other species. At least he wasn't going to be expected to finish his glass. "Thank you, for the information and assurance."

She noticed the look the he gave there arms and laughed. "I'm not much into elven rules and etiquette." Faye explained truthfully and looked away again, watching where they were going. "It's not a problem, and for tonight, just to make sure everything runs smoothly, i'll be seated next to you, just in case you have any questions." She used her free hand to straighten her dress a little as they spoke, she was a little fidgety every now and again.

"What problems do you think might occur?" Padraic asked her curiously. Faye was an expert, even if she didn't follow in tradition exactly. He trusted her judgement.

"I don't think any will occur, actually, I think that everything will be absolutely fantastic." Faye replied brightly, she had not a doubt in her mind that tonight would go well. "You just relax and be yourself and act as if you'd normally act at a formal dinner occasion." She stopped them in front of a very tall set of doors, letting go of his arm and looking him over. "Would you like to enter the room together or shall you go first and I follow in a while?" Sometimes people wished to enter on there own, which was absolutely fine, she was just giving him a choice.

((I'm gonna go to bed, night))
Having a dinner go well would be a welcomed changed in Padraic's life and he hoped that she was right, though he was sure he could handle a situation where things went wrong, it would just be inconvienent. "I think we should enter together." It would be easier for him to discover his place at the table if she stayed close to him. He had no problem sharing the entrance with her. Padraic had his relaxed work face on. He still appeared confident and proffessional, just not as overly serious. Dinner was not always an appropriate place to discuss business.

Faye gave a elegant nod of her head and stepped forward, the doors opening up on their own accord. She paused to allow Padraic to catch up to her before continuing on toward the large, long table set in the middle of the room which already held host to quite a large number of elves.
The hall was very high and grand, the walls filled with paintings and the ceiling holding one large beautiful crystal chandalier above all of their heads.
The young rainbow haired woman lead Padraic to the table and let him take a seat before sitting herself next to him. They had been seated quite near the head of the table where Faye's father and mother would be seated. The rest of the table was filled with noble men and woman and other members of council and what not that partook in dinner in the castle most every night.
Glasses of wine were already filled in front of them and many were already drinking and chattering with each other, the atmosphere was warm and calm at this moment.

Padraic walked in close after her, strides sure and body tall. An almost smile was on his face, helping him to more easily match the current warm environment. He allowed his eyes to do a quick run over of the room as they made their way to the table. Slight suprise hit Padraic when he saw how close to the head of the table he would be. It was a pleasant suprise.
He looked over at Faye and then at the other elves already seated before taking a small sip of his wine. though he didn't immideatly say anything, he was not uncomfortable with his silence and didn't find it awkward.

Faye pulled her legs up onto her seat and then crossed them, pulling her dress down further and then relaxing. She had an anklet on and immediately started to play with it with one hand while her other hand grabbed her wine, she brought her glass to her lips and then tilted her head back and drained it of its contents. Everyone in the room ignored her strange behaviour, used to it by this point in time.
"This end of the table may be a bit more frigid then the other end of the table." Faye warned under her breath to Padraic. The high elves of course wouldn't be as cheerful as some of the nobles, nor would they probably get as drunk as some of them liked to get. "Put not to worry, you don't seem like much of the talkative type, not when you're in another realm at least." She shot him a teasing smile before looking away and around the room, watching some of the other people converse with each other.

Faye's movement caught his eye and he found himself watching her, not portraying any of his curiousity. He nodded slowly at her warning, he'd been expecting the situation to be like that. He was slightly relieved, it would be much easier for him to interact with the high elves. "I talk when I have something to say." he told her. Since faeries cannot lie, only twist thier words, they did not speak as often or as loosely as other races. Words were weapons only to be brought out when needed.

"That's a good trait to have, I myself talk whenever I wish too, and have little fear of the repruccusions of what I say." Faye smiled to herself and shrugged her shoulders a bit, looking back down at her hand and ankle again. "But most of the time saying what I please when I please ends up having a fantastic effect!" She grinned and then laughed before slouching back in her seat and letting out a relaxed sigh. Servants were walking about the room now, refilling wine glasses and what not, that meant dinner would be starting soon.

"What happends when your words do not end up having a fantastic effect?" he questioned, sensing some interesting stories. Padraic pulled his gaze from her momentarily when he caught sight of the servants but his eyes returned to the she-elf quickly.

"Well normally I end up getting into some trouble, usually a scolding from my mother, though once I told one of the noblewoman that she was looking a bit bustier than normal and I asked her if she had used some sort of enchantment on herself... You know, to add a little bit more volume to her breasts." Faye paused for a moment and then laughed to herself before pulling up the sleeve on her left arm and showing Padraic three long scars all in a row. "She got a bit upset, I deserved it though, I had said it in front of quite a few people." Ususally there wouldn't be scars but the woman had been wearing a strange nail polish that most likely had something magical mixed into it in order to give it a finer sheen. Whatever had been mixed in had caused the scars to remain.

Both of Padraic's eyebrows were raised at the sight of Faye's scars. Though he understood the noblewoman being upset, attacking Faye seemed like a bit of an overreaction. "So your way of speech earned you battle scars, and still you speak the same." he mused, wondering why she didn't learn from her mistakes.

"Ah! Battle scars, that sounds so brave!" She smiled and looked at the scars, they were just skinny and long, not anything to worry about. "The woman, she just grabbed onto my arms tightly and yelled at me, when she got pulled away from me by her husband her nails dragged." Faye decided to explain a little further. "I have the right to speak as freely as I wish too, and thus i'll continue to do so. If I were to think I was in the love then I would shout it out loud for everyone to hear, if I think something is interesting then I may just whisper it to anyone I please and let them in on a little piece of something I enjoy." The elven woman nodded her head to herself, confirming her words.
