Padraic knew when he accepted to position of the Queen's Ambassador that there were going to be challenges and changes to the way he lived. He knew he'd have to travel to distance places for prolonged periods of time. He also knew the reason he was given the job, no one else had stepped up. With the thousand year anniversary of the Midsummer's Dance coming up and no treaty with the elves in sight, no fairy was crazy enough to try and fix it.
Even Padraic with his new job title, did not think it would be possible to create any sort of agreement with the elves. He had the best chance though, of making the impossible happened. If he was able to do it, the honor and power that would be bestowed upon him would be impossible to imagine. Failure was never an option to him and this task was no exception.
It was with that mindset and expectation that the seasoned court faerie packed and left his home to travel and stay with the elves. He knew he would not be allowed to return until a treaty was made. He didn't bother to look around one last time before transporting himself outside the gate of the Elven castle.

Lately there'd been much word spread through out the elven society about a fairy ambassador coming to stay with the high elves in order to create a land treaty. But, knowing the way elves were, it was kept quite serious and when words were spoken they were done so shortly and coldly, as with everything else.
Faye really always disliked how little information she received around everyone, though it did make her intensely curious. Though she always loved surprising and it was always quite the surprise when something eventful actually finally did happen around there.
And because of this, it was to Faye's utter delight that she saw a very unfamiliar face lingering from behind the tall, shimmering golden gates that surrounded the beautiful expanse of vividly coloured land that laid within the elven castles yard.
A smile spread onto her pale pink lips and she dashed over, doing line of cartwheels along the way and then skidding to a halt at the gate, her rainbow hair swaying about in the soft breeze. She leaned close to the gates and peered at him from behind her shield of bangs, watching and inspecting for a moment. "Well hello there." She greeted softly and grinned, placing her hands on her hips and rocking back and forth on her heels She was barefoot.

Padraic was slightly suprised by the appearence of the cartwheel performing she-elf. He had been told that the elven court worked simaliar to his own. Cartwheels were not exactly part of everyday life. Still, he was able to keep his composure and his face retained its normal non-expressive state.
Though he could not see her eyes, he knew that she was inspecting him and he all too easily returned the favor. "Hello." he replied. Though his voice was not cold there was still something... off about it. "Are you here to let me in?" Padraic asked as he looked past her and the gate.

"Oh yes!" She replied brightly, having forgotten her manners for a moment. She hadn't meant to, she was just quite curious about him. "I've never met a fairy, you're not what I expected you to be." Faye said as she gave a wave of one, long fingered hand and the gate opened up, allowing him entrance. She gave him a light, whimsical smile, watching him closely, unable to help herself.

Padraic stepped forward through the entrance, his eyes returning to the young woman. "What part of me does not meet your expectations?" he questioned and wondered if she was the only one whose expectations he would not meet. Her answer would give him a good idea of what to expect when he met with the high elves.

A soft laugh escaped her and she spun away from him, waltzing confidently along the grass toward the castle. "Just everything about you, but don't take that badly, i'm quite positve that's a good thing. Meeting my expectations would have ended disasterously." Faye turned her head and glanced at him from over her shoulder, giving him a cheeky grin.

The fairy followed after her, appearing completely confident in the new environment. Just another job. he reminded himself as he glanced around at his surroundings. "Ended disasterously? How so?"

"You just wouldn't have been able to stand up to them is all." Faye frowned, and not being able to stand up to them lead to quite a few, not very kind, other ordeals and problems. "You're confidence is quite striking though, you're not hiding it at all. That's very good." She complimented bluntly, she could feel others emotions, it was a skill of hers. "My name is Faye, and you are?"

So she'd thought that he'd be a pansy. It was a common misconception and one that he loved to prove incorrect. The smile that appeared from her compliment was small, almost a smirk. "Padraic." he responded. "It is nice to meet you, Faye." Padraic told her with a small nod.

"It's quite the pleasure to meet you too." She laughed to herself, finding the way they were speaking to one another just a bit to polite for her tastes. "Now, it's quite the maze inside of the castle, so you're going to have to keep up to me." Faye explained since really there was a large lack of bodies within in the castle, especially ones willing to help you. And with that last thought she went sprinting across the grass and away from him and straight to the castle doors.

After a mental facepalm Padraic sighed and magicked himself into the tiny size of what people commonly imagined for faeries. Using that same magic he flew after her, that way he could keep up and not look like a fool running around the castle. He was able to catch up to her easily and followed behind, appearing as a small ball of light.

She spun around so she was running backwards and let out a laugh, grinning at the little ball of light following her. "Cute!" Faye teased, knowing that saying that might get on his nerves a little and secretly hoping that he would get a little ticked off. She continued shooting around the halls quickly and no one was around to see it, everyone really stayed to themselves there and it was very quiet.
After running up to the third floor she finally skidded to a halt outside of one of the doors, not even out of breath, just looking very happy. She bent backward and did a handstand before walking around on her hands, keeping her eyes closed since her bangs had fallen away. "Just knock on the door and then go right on in." Faye instructed him and then flipped back onto her feet, humming a tune to herself softly and glancing at him once more.

Padraic raised an eyebrow at her 'cute' comment, but she wouldn't be able to see it. Faye appeared to be very childish and he wasn't suprised that she was amused with his choice in travel technique.
When it seemed that they had reached their desination Padraic changed back into the form Faye had originally met. His clothes and hair were still in perfect condition. He nodded at her intrsutions and glanced over at her for a moment. "Thank you for leading me here." he told her, a faint hint of mocking tinting his words. He turned to face the door, knocked once then walked inside the room.

She smirked and rolled her eyes. His judgement of her character was a little off, she was just light-hearted. Childish wouldn't be a word he'd use to describe her once they got to know one another a little bit better. With a soft sigh of content she spun around and sauntered off down a hall.
The room he had stepped into was large and filled with odd, mystical contraptions, some of them large and some of them small, but they were all very curious looking never the less. The room itself was circular, the ceiling rounded off, images of sparkling stars glittering in a cloudless night drifting along through it by obvious use of enchantment.
At the back of the room was a desk and behind the desk sat a very tall man with black hair, black eyes, and pointed features. He had a nicely groomed, faint beard and his hair reached just to his shoulders. The man stood up gracefully and walked around the desk, a small smile on his pale lips, his eyes kind. He was also one of the kinder elves around, "Greetings, you must be our new visitor. My name is Seerbracharch, but please, just call me Seer." He gave an elegant bow and then stood up straight again, watching Padraic with only slight interest.

The fairy looked around the room in a way that seemed both intrigued and serious. He didn't want to appear too intersted. Padraic bowed back respectfully, making sure to mentally match the name and the face of the man in front of him. "I am Padraic, it is a pleasure to meet you." he replied as he stood straight once more.
